Catherine

And the freedom ending is still the best ending. Catherine 2 when?

He was but Katherine is still insane. A woman lying to you about her being pregnant to lock you down should always be a relationship ender.

she cheats on vincent too kek

He's such a passive bitch that honestly the space ending should be the canon ending, he flat out admits he's not ready for a relationship and thats the most healthy ending for everyone involved

Katherine is a mentally ill bitch

How did a loser like Vincent got a girk like Katherine in the first place?

Catherine

So does this game actually have troonshit or was it just Anon Babble gaslighting?

the original doesn't, the re-release added an alien troon

I agree. I don't see why anyone would leave their several years long relationship with their girlfriend for some random bar whore.

she didn't lie. it was a false alarm.

the original doesn't

the male-to-female waitress fucks the blonde kid

holy shit I forgot about this dude
the game actually has TWO troons

Atlus can't resist shoving a new Mary Sue into each of their rereleases so they introduced one in Full Body. Play the original, the new options destroy the purpose of the original message.

?

They gave her chie's voice as the cherry on top, too.

her

erica was not a tranny

Erica was transgender. It's a plot point that Toby hadn't been told when they hooked up.

that is literally rape

source

erica doesn't count because it's played for comedic effect and isn't virtue-signaling nonsense.

She didn't lie at first, she genuinely thought she was pregnant. She found out later she wasn't, after which she did use it to see how he'd react. To be fair to her, he was already cheating on her. They were basically codependent, if they break up both of them seem happier. She even becomes a model.

he wasnt cheating, evil semen demon wasn't real

why does Erica gets a pass from Anon Babble?

I wish I looked like her(him)

faggot all that was already in the original game that you clearly didn't play

wants a dominant woman

gets a man

poetry.

I'm pretty sure it was in the original, but I could be wrong though.

based. its funny how even vincent calls out the own games narrative of him being a "cheater" and literally leaves satan speechless

nevermind it's real
i played it like a year ago mustve have been not paying attention

She didn't do it on purpose, she jumped the gun when she missed her period. She wasn't actually planning on entrapment Vincent
The beauty of Catherine is that Vincent is an immature, indecisive manchild who just wants to stay in a holding pattern forever, and Katherine is a controlling, emotionally distant woman who ultimately wants happiness for both of them, but can't stand just being Vincent's girlfriend forever. It's what makes it a compelling story, both the principal characters are relatable in their hopes, fears and motivations, and also clearly wrong in what they choose to do about them. It's such an engrossing, relatively nuanced representation of adult love that I'm eternally seething that Atlus refuses to ever do anything like it again and will instead make Persona-adjacent games about teenagers until the end of time

SEX. WITH. KATHERINE.

In Full Body (forget if these are in the base game) there are flashbacks to Vincent and Katherine's past, they got together in high school/college and have stuck it out until the events of the game. Vincent basically got lucky and got Katherine before she was too jaded to want more from her partner at the outset, and when she did want more, she was too dug in to want to break it off outright

Cute

Good banter with the gang

Looks like Ronald McDonald

Yes, and Katherine is a manipulative cunt.
They were horrible for and to each other, and both deserve to be unhappy.

This. I suspect the game being less commercially successful than other projects is a result of it appealing to a fanbase that doesn't really exist for Atlus.

a fanbase that doesn't really exist for Atlus.

more like a fanbase that doesn't really exist period.
People who like anime aesthetics don't play that kind of games and people who play that kind of games don't like anime aesthetics

What do you think about the fact that Full Body adds multiple routes so that Vincent can basically escape his commitment from K and still end up happy?

Seems to fly in the face of the message of the gsme's original narrative of "Either man up and commit or break it off, because going with C is not gonna end well."

This pasta?

less commercially successful

Why are salesfags so stupid, it sold fine for the time it released and was pretty popular. With even journos saying it was good.

Vincent can basically escape his commitment from K and still end up happy?

Already a thing in the original if you get Catherine true end. Also that bullshit isn't the message, it's that you should be consistent and true to whatever kind of life you want to live. Which is why the ending is based on both the questions at the end and the meter, with you getting fucked over if you try to go for C despite your meter being on the K side and vice versa.

it sold fine for the time it released and was pretty popular.

not in comparison to Atlus' actual popular franchises like persona.
Why make a game not a lot of people will play when you can just make another persona and make millions in revenue

because, as someone on Anon Babble said in the past (if anyone has the screen cap feel free to post it), being trans was only one aspect of the character and the character was still well written and likeable. Unlike in modern games where being trans is the character's WHOLE IDEA AND PERSONALITY, it's reinforced constantly and thrown at you, and on top of that the characters aren't even likeable. It's simple really.

Why are salesfags so stupid

missing the point this hard
