Yeah, that's a pretty normal endboard. You can often extend a bit further or get Pinguicula on board too, but if all you can get is Sera+Raff then you probably had some other traps/hand traps in hand which means it's enough.

Pretty much, Dionaea can reset the trap you discarded for Holeutea, and you can have Arachnocampa protect the backrow

If you draw more extenders like the field spell and a spare Arachno rather than traps you can go Pinuicula first to nibble on their GY, then raff or make a Redoer for a little more interaction.
It's basically always better to draw more traps though.

Blue and jet are limited, starter is limited, all to 1 and that's it. You lose a little bit of starting hand consistency but you can still load your deck with tutors and handtraps, add a third live ki-sikil, play three secret passwords if you have them (or shit like cynet mining idk) and you can 1 card cooombo until your opponent concedes.

I leave a bot grinding the event overnight using a selfTK deck and when I come back from work I receive all the gems and play a couple of games with my Madolche deck on the event to have fun and not stress about having to grind gems myself.

Hot take: I think powercreep has reached the point where Block Dragon of all things can come off the banlist. We have more degenerate combo decks than Adamancipator, and I really hate Block Dragon and Adamancipator.

Played 8 games of Evil eye in the event and won them all, people surrender too quickly sometimes.

Raidraptor is the best to use if you go first and go uninterrupted (i.e, versus other loaners) but the Infinitrack generates a lot of advantage. It seems pretty reliant on Outrigger though.

Never, they already fucked up the latest support royally (wisteria should have been a normal trap and selene a link-2), KONMAI clearly isn't interested in helping out this tri-type because plants already have it too good, insects are one good card away from fully exploting resonance insect and becoming broken, and reptiles are simply unsalvageable lest they give them transgender-eyes/FIRE levels of support.

If you spend your resources wisely In other words, pull from packs that have multiple URs you want, and craft cards from packs that have only 1 or 2 URs you want then you'll end up with a good reserve of crafting materials over time.
Looking at my UR collection, I have over 60 URs I can dismantle that I have more copies of than you'd ever want to put in a deck. And a bunch of shit tier URs like Malefic Truth Dragon or Volcanic Doomfire.

Once you have your basic hand traps and extra deck staples they just start stacking up whether you're building dumb pet decks or for the newest meta deck.

The only reason to hold onto Junk Warrior is for time travel events, or in hope that a year from now they'll release new support that uses him like how ASS Dragon uses the original Stardust Dragon.
IP is one of the best extra deck cards in the game, to the point that it could be banned some day so is maybe worth keeping even if you have extras.

I still use Starving Venom in my ED despite Garura existing, because in a board breaking scenario, there is enormous value in one breaker summoning another. Starving Venom is basically the only way to clear a full uninterrupted Blackwing endboard backed by handtraps.
A Garura-like effect is the minimum to make Ultimate Slayer viable. If you don't plus off the discard, you might as well run Sinful Spoils Subversion as your generic, because it's just as powerful and game breaking without needing the dedication

Unironically just run 5head at that point, he starts with 5k atk to begin with, has zero restrictions on mats so you can even use tokens, and is both protected in battle and completely unaffected by all other card effects, with a cost that you will not pay if summoning it at the point you said.
With Irmistil you're clearly supposed to summon it early to gain off the Dogwood effect, then build it up to 8k total if they don't pop it on your next turn.

Irmistil isn't great but requiring 3+ monsters makes him far easier to summon than Link Dragon even ignoring that plants often lock you out of non-plants.
Sunvine Thrasher is usually better though.

There are actually a lot of monsters in the game that are good in spite of having no protection, because you don't summon a monster like Accesscode on turn 1 and then sit on it.

Only if they have something like Baronne that needs to chain to it. 99% of the time your opponent would have already used up an effect like that while you were getting the material required for Accesscode. Accesscode still eats shit to anything like a Drident or Imperm unless he was given protection by something like Gatchiri or maybe I:P. But that's probably still on you for letting things get to that point.

Anyway, Irmistil sucks but not because it lacks protection. Because it's just a 5k beater which plant decks don't even need.

Cracking Baronne and Savage was a pretty big thing about it, but it's still pseudo-protection in a way.

Having a monster "just sit there" is bad. It's really really bad. It's not something you want to ever do. You'd rather link that monster away for IP 99% of the time because quick effects that interrupt are better than monsters that sit there. A towers monster at least drains the opponent's resources by forcing them to do suboptimal plays to remove it. But something that just gains LP is easily ignored in favor of gaining control of the game.
It doesn't matter if Konami designed it to sit there and gain you LP because that is not something you ever want to do in the modern game. So it's not even worth considering.

Irmistil is best viewed as a 5k beater for when you're plant locked and that's really it. Which has its places but is unimpressive.

I never saw Accesscode destroy a Baronne/Savage that still had their negates live because that would require the opponent to let the opponent play unimpeded way more than is reasonable.

Past formats need context. Tear existed, so cards that are good against Spright like Super Poly weren't run.
I remember someone wondered why Bujins could ever be meta in one of the events last year, well at the time in the TCG our format had x3 Kaiser Colosseum, x1 Vanity's Emptiness and x3 D-Fissure, Heavy Storm was banned and Imperm didn't exist and Bujins ran Honest.
Bujins forced you to contest their monsters in battle, preventing you from removing them any other way, and then they had protections in battle. It was so annoying and it got Kaiser Colosseum banned.

always open in bulks of 10, because if you get really unlucky with your first pulls the game will give you a guaranteed UR for your next 10 pull, this doesn't happen if you do it by just buying one at the time

5k for secret packs is enough for me going in fresh, selection packs you can spaff in as soon as you have enough for a ten pull but should pay attention to in the last week so you don't leave it on a guaranteed UR pull

Most people are ending on IP instead of UDF though which into raigeki means linking your whole board away into Apollousa and praying your opponent is on xyz.

This is what I have after 6000 gems, those first 10 packs had an Atypus and then I got another. Double Atypus feels bad but it's only a soft once per turn so who knows maybe it will come up.
No Rafflesia hurts but I'm happy I got at least one Sera.
At this point the only stuff I'm missing are URs, I'd like two more Seras, two Rafflesias and one Cularia. I think this means I'm done with the pack and will be crafting the rest.

I'm not an expert plaptrix player, but you almost never need more than 1 pingu or atypus. Cularia isn't needed either, if you end up with sera and 3 bodies (very common situation without extenders) you're better off summoning s:p and then reviving sera with holeutea in GY. So basically you only need 2 more sera's and a single rafflesia. When the newest support dropped i spent 4k in it and got everything i needed, then my remaining 6k were spent on mother nature's ensnare and i didn't pull a single sera, but when i crafted them i got 1 of each rarity. Even if the deck becomes too slow to even compete at the lower tiers, i'll keep playing it just for that, it literally chose me.

But i played trains strictly because i liked going second, breaking boards and then swinging for game with liebe, and if that didn't work out i overlaid zeus for a one time nuke. Tenpai can cuck a whole board with a single card, and it never fails to kill.

I'd just aim for a single Rafflesia. Toolbox options like Asophiel or Aussa into Accesscode come up more often since Raff is mainly just a turn 1 summon. You could consider pulling until you hit one Raff/Cularia or two Sera. But just crafting them now makes sense too. You could also just cut Cularia since she doesn't come up much.

The problem with vrains is that the characters are fucking boring.

Cularia very rarely comes up but she's basically a guaranteed win in simplified game state and I'd be kicking myself if the game ever got to that and I didn't have her.
Rafflesia will eventually get cut to 1 probably but I'm being a stubborn waifufag and getting the traptrix cards before the staples so the deck will probably be more trap heavy as I shove in trap holes in the other staple spots. If you only run 3-4 trap holes 1 Rafflesia makes perfect sense but I'll probably be running 7-10 of them for a while so a second Rafflesia might come up.

Yeah that's all i cared about with trains, going second always and killing, and if it didn't pan out i had zeus as a backup plan, which wasn't enough sometimes. Tenpai can go first and kill 90% of the time even if you're a fucking idiot, play under shifter, run 25 non engine, and only fadra isn't a one card combo.

She's my second favorite first one's allomerus but she's rarely useful unless you play the deck pure. Traptrix ragnaraika only needs 14 extra deck cards, so that last slot can be her or the other giant tree abomination.

My favorite is Genlisea but she's just not very good. Sometimes you can just use her in place of Dionaea when you have an extra material but usually she's just a brick.
