FFG did a great job, for the most part at least, with their entire line of 40k RPG's. Took some convincing for them to go with a more crunchy system, but it turned out pretty.
A few of them played Rogue Trader and now we're tabling the idea of doing a campaign for it. I'd prefer Deathwatch, since I have a few of the actual books for it rather then PDF's, but it is what it is.

5e is very straightforward to get into and people mostly do it as a social gathering that happens to have a game involved. Unlike 4e, which was just awful, 5e is just kind of dull once you figure it out.
