Everything modeled has rigs for the bones, what would be impossible about it, Riders and 06 had some fuck-huge proportions.

Because both 2D and 3D iterations were fine, only 06 dropped the ball with the in engine cutscenes rather than the FMV's, which was the 2nd best part of the game next to the soundtrack.

I don't really care about that, I asked "why?" make any change in the first place? Or at least, one that made the feet and hands so fat instead of making them smaller so the head and body were the more notable features? It's kinda basic body language for good silhouette handling.
It think it fucked up Knuckles's "upside triangle" shape the left one went for. Definitely looks more fitting of the "strong character" look they went for. The right just looks like he's going to trip on his own feet because they are as big as his head. I don't know what makes that hard to get. Never asked how well the games sold or whatever.
