Got a dentist appointment on Monday. It's just a cleaning but I'm dreading them telling me I have another cavity. Feels like the moments of pain are the only real things, while ordinary days fly by so fast they may as well not be real.

roguelite where you play a wizard. the wand/spell building is one of the most interesting mechanics i have ever seen in a game, learning how to build an overpowered wand is like learning a programming language. it seems fairly straightforward at first: move down, get to the boss, kill it, win. but there's so much more to it. lots of little random optional puzzles that you might not even realize are puzzles, lots of hidden mechanics that once you start learning them gives you a much better idea of how the world works, a much bigger world than you might realize at first with alternate win conditions if you can find them, and the whole world is simulated by the pixel a la world of sand/sand physics simulators. the last point means an incredibly interactive world. an enemy can shoot you, miss, hit a lantern, the lantern will spill oil and fire, spread all over the wooden floor, the floor will burn away, blow up that explosive barrel, which will leave a gaping hole allowing the toxic basin to flood where you were standing which you can then turn into water with alchemy by pouring a couple drops into the sea of toxic green

its only okay. shonen rom com, there is not much to it. a little bit hornier than i thought it would be. its not bad, but it is definitely intended for a more young adult audience and i think i am a little too old to properly enjoy it at 30. it's got an alright premise. loner dude who believes in aliens, popular girl who believes in ghosts, they bet each other that the thing they don't believe in exists. turns out they both do. loner guy gets possessed and gets ghost powers, popular girl gets probed by aliens which unlocks her psychic potential. i feel like the difference in their powers isn't far enough, the girl's power should've been more alien focused, as it stands they both just have spiritual powers. there seems to be a heavier focus on spirits than on the aliens.

Lament Of Innocence and Curse of Darkness might be good starting points since both are pretty much a hack 'n slash games with RPG elements, little to no platforming.

If you want a 2D game as opposed to a 3D game, try out Symphony of the Night, this game in particular is kind of a power fantasy since Alucard is insanely OP even early in the game. There are platforming challenges but they're not difficult at all, especially with later power ups like double jumps and bat transformations.

I thought that after so many years the online would actually be dead, but it's good to know it's kept alive by the community.

How much progress on the secondary missions like Taxi Driver, Vigilante, etc.?

I've done Vigilante on police bike, Pimping and Courier missions in LS; Paramedic in Angel Pine; BMX challenge, all 3 Chiliad bike races; trucking 4/8 missions; made $10K on burglary for the achievement and max stamina. Sprayed 100 tags and collected 24/50 oysters. Gonna do Taxi in SF (because it's pretty small) and Firefighter in LV (so I don't need to climb steep roads on the fire truck).

It always amazes me how smoothly Snake animates in that game.

Is it harder than Metal Gear Solid 1? I am not sure I could beat it today.

When I first played MGS1 years ago it seemed insanely hard, but on a replay this year - not as much. Ghost Babel did seem harder to me, but can't say for sure if it actually was or that's because I played it for the first time. Either way, Ghost Babel is really challenging at times, especially on Very Hard. Took me incredible amount of time and attempts to beat the second to last boss, though it was partially my fault - didn't save any rations for the fight and probably missed body armor.

This place is so fucked it couldn't possibly make it worse.

i played 10 years ago in high school but got filtered hard by not knowing what i was doing and playing on hard instead of normal. i made it to engineering before realizing i was cooked and stopped playing.

I'm fine but a little annoyed. A friend is dealing with getting evicted and what they're doing is annoying me. I'm about 25kg too skinny for how tall i am and I don't like it. Been skinny all my life and while noone has ever tried to mess with me since i turned around 16 or so, I want to feel like i can protect myself in a fight if it happens. This is also why i want to learn a martial art in addition to gaining weight. It also just doesn't feel good being a skinny guy because I desire to be muscular. I drink a good amount of milk but the biggest reason i have had trouble gaining weight is because I start to eat too late into the day because I'm not feeling hungry, which leads to me not eating much by the end of the day. Yesterday i only got in 1700 calories. I know i can eat enough food, but I'm just not trying hard enough.

The Bond movies (Aside from Casino Royale and onwards) are barely connected. Just watch whichever ones interest you. So far the best ones I've seen (of the first 10 or so) have been Goldfinger, Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun. Watch whichever you want honestly.

What does it play like?

Dragon Quest Fan Game. Plays like VIII but in 2D.

I had to google it. Is it an actual Dragon Ball sequel, or a reboot?

It's another story squeezed into the "10 years of peace" at the end of the manga, and it happens right before Dragon Ball Super. It basically expands on the Demon Realm Dabura is from.
So far the Animation is nice, but it really feels like a promotional anime for a game than an actual new standalone story. They even introduced fast travel and healing items today, so I feel like they're going to announce a game soon that's going to use all of those features.
It's a fun watch, though. The Art and Animation is great, way better than whatever they fuck they did with the first 3 Sagas of Dragon Ball Super. No 'DBS Episode 5'-tier garbage, yet.
PLAYAN and DRINKAN sound pretty good.

For the honeymoon we went to Washington state and explored Rainier, Mt Olympic, the rainforests, and puget sound. We want to move there. I've traveled the country a few times over and never seen such beauty. Just incredible. Their climate is all over the place nowadays so it's a little hard to predict which areas are going to get constant storms and which will be under increased fire risk as they've had some really abnormal droughts.
