I'm doing 5
Wild Arms 2
Brave Fencer Musashi
Digimon World
Ape Escape SotN
Anon...
Oddworld was not better on PC. Why do you think it was?
I played it recently, wouldn't work with controllers, couldn't rebind it easily and the resolution options are fucked. Had to emulate the PS1 version.
Final Fantasy 7
Symphony of the Night
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
That's a very hard one.
Crash 2
Musashi
Breath of Fire IV
My list would be endless.
Dino Crisis
Silent Hill
Resident Evil
so many Crash 2
I thought Crash 3 was more popular, no?
Tomb Raider was shit on PC. For the past 25 years its been reliant on shitty fan mods to attempt to get it as good as the PlayStation version. Always fell short.
I just replayed them all last month and I'd give 3 a slight edge over 2. I understand that a lot of people prefer 2 for less gimmick levels, though.
Nope. Crash 2 is the best.
3 is my favourite, but 2 is an objectively better crash bandicoot game.
It depends on who you ask. 2 has more pure platforming while 3 has some fun fucking around with gimmicks while also introducing time trials.
Megaman Legends
Ape Escape
FF7
2 is the easiest, 1 is the best. 3 is interesting even if the gimmicks tend to fall flat. The actual platform levels are better than the safe and easy crash 2 levels.
2>1>3 in terms of quality.
3>2>1 in terms of my personal favourites.
Lol 2 is a lot jankier than 1. 1 has the only interesting crate challenge which is the majority of all Crash games. 2 and 3 are simple get them all with no challenge.
Lol 2 is a lot jankier than 1
Names zero examples.
:/
Consider playing the games to find out why.
Doesn't answer the question again.
I replayed all of the games last summer. 1 is jankier than 2.
Please post examples anon, it's almost as if you don't have any...
Symphony of the Night
Final Fantasy VII
Tekken 2
You don't understand how a game you can easily skip over a ton of the obstacles, get collectibles way earlier than you're supposed to with exploits, can easily run on the background environment to bypass gameplay is more janky than a game in which you can't do this? What did you play the shitty remake?
silent hill
abe's exoddus
klonoa
Such a fucking hard choice

You can do this in Crash 1. Why do you think you can't?
Starting to sound like you never played the games anon...I've been playing all 3 since they were new.
Feel free to share how you can get red gem early in Crash 1.
Sure. Once you answer my question. I asked first so it's only fair.
Please provide examples
I've been waiting for over 10 minutes. Post some or I'll have to accept your concession that you never played the games.
See: Why filibuster so pathetically? It works better when you haven't been answered. Now it just looks like you can't think of a retort and are just wasting time.
Silent Hill
Ace Combat 3 jp

Concession accepted. Thanks for confirming you were talking out of your ass.
You can keep replying if you like, but you already conceded the argument, so I'll just keep reminding you that you lost (and i won)
Thanks :^)
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Threads of Fate
Tomb Raider III
Damn, this is actually really difficult to do.
Grandia (just beat it a few weeks ago, still great as ever)
FF9
Jackie Chan
Crash 2.
Popolocrois.
Tomba 2.
There's just too many good games for this thing.
I'm not a fan of the motorcycles and jestskis in 3.
Try the Saturn version of Grandia, it's significantly better.
You're as bad as this as you are at Crash 1. Nice trooncase btw.
And this confirms there is no jank in Crash 1...how exactly?
Legend of the Dragoon
spyro 2
digimon world
Simple as
If there was you would have given an example by now. You're terrible at this.
Saturn Version
Interesting, didn't realize there was one. I played it on my ps5, for some reason when I looked at it on the ps store it was FREE, i told my cousin to look into it and it was 10 bucks for him. I bought it on ps3 ages ago but don't know why they would give it to me for free now, but I'm not complaining.
I've now moved onto the Star Ocean 2 remake, but when I get another craving in the future I'll def check out the saturn version - i hope it cuts down on the time between battles and going back to the world maps, that shit killed me
If there was you would have given an example by now.
Why would I? That's not what I'm arguing.
You said there's "no jank in Crash 1".
Prove your claim correct..
Why can't you do it?
RE2
Suikoden 2
Crash 2
Saturn version is the original one, the differences are significant. Left is Saturn version, right is every other version.
Breath of Fire 3
FFT
Crash 3
Man I really need to replay BoF3, that game is great
Dino Crisis
Gran Turismo 2
Tekken 2
what the fuck? they padded out the maps? i'm gonna have to do more research into this, you're blowing my mind right now. Still a fantastic game in every way though
Oh anon, it's everything. PS1 version halved the resolution of every battle background. They completely broke the water effect in the PS1 version.
damn, thats rough. i wasn't really playing it for the graphics though, if I cared about that I would've bought the HD remaster. very curious to see the differences in maps for myself someday

Nice
The HD port is the same as the PS1 version just with some smoothing filter.
I love the soundtrack for 3 the most and I love the bosses. Even the gimmick levels are fun
But Crash 2 has more traditional platforming and the perfect difficulty
Not a single mention of Syphon Filter
I understand that its a top three only, but thats kinda disappointing.
resident evil 2
castlevania sotn
gran turismo 2
Harvest Moon: BTN is one of the few games I always go back to
Remember when they said the Steam version would be the best of both versions and not just a PS1 port?
Pregnation 1
Why Suiko and not Suiko 2

Breath of Fire IV
Because its westernslop, not only that the PS1 really doesn't have a lot if any good over the shoulder TPS, that genre already sucks but aside from maybe Gungage (more good for its presentation and music than anything else) and one of the games in Die Hard Trilogy i can't think of anything else on the PS1 that is remarkable
It's really fucking hard to choose three games as favorites in the PS1, but ultimately
Parasite Eve 1
Super Robot Wars Alpha
Suikoden
There are plenty of really good games between the Front Mission trilogy, Tokimeki Memorial, Gunparade March, Silent Hill, the Resident Evil games, Ace Combat 3, Fuuraiki, Breath of Fire 4, etc. .
The HD remaster also appeared on Switch, but yeah it's still a lazy port of Grandia instead of what was promised.
Come to think, the recently announced Lunar HD remasters are from the same publisher.
Yeah but Lunar should be fine unless they go out of their way to fuck it up.
