Frankly most fighters suck for the reasons you say. Amateurs to regular, ok players actually play these fucking things as it's meant to be played and have fun with it.

Yeah, I used to absolutely play the shit out of Soul Calibur 2/3, Third Strike and Destrega when I was playing with my CS classmates a decade ago, but now that I really don't have friends to the same degree and my mom and dad are too old to get it, I haven't touched it in years. Kinda sucks but it allowed me to do other more substantial things with my life so c'est la vie. Still wish I could find friends to hang out with on a semi-regular basis and just play some fighting games while talking about how life is treating them.
