The rubber to gold extra cash effect only applies to the first layer of the bloon, but if a trap eats a bloon affected by it, the game thinks ALL of the bloon was rubber to gold'd.

I tried it once and actually couldn't beat it since I didn't take farming seriously, I'm not sure I'm going to bother with coop this week because I want to finish it.
I've also read elite blasta specifically is bugged currently, resulting in paragons dealing way less damage to it than normally.
Paragons deal extra damage to bosses and even more extra damage to elite bosses, but it seems this extra damage to elite does not apply to blasta so you have paragons dealing shit damage. For reference, a degree 20 ace right now deals less damage to it than a non bugged degree 1 ace would.
