DEATH NOTE Killer Within
Raito with the chud smirk
gonna fuck misa in the ass
I stopped watching after L died
Near won, and you lost
Cringe and likely a trans "fujo"
No I mean I got bored, not that I was upset he died.
Slightly less cringe then.
We're all cringe here.
KIRA SUS
Series with demons death gods, supernatural elements, and a book that can kill anyone,
The manga confirms the afterlife doesn't exist despite the existence of said supernatural things.
Dumb writing. This is edgy newgrounds levels of writing.
They couldn't afford antialiasing.
dumb american can't understand japanese believe in reincarnation instead of afterlife
lol
why is it so blurry
except near and the femboy are way more fujo bait than l ever was
It never says theres reincarnation it was confirmed by the writer they cease to exist when they die.
Did he come up with that halfway through, since it was specified that users of the notebook don't go to heaven or hell. Or was that just in the anime, only read the manga once.
What's more cringe? Being a Anon Babble dwelling weirdo or a normie slave to your base instincts raising a family doing normie stuff?
You be the judge.
the answer might be none of it really matters
has untraceable supernatural murder weapon
immediately gets narrowed down as a suspect in a world with 8 billion people
needs the help of two gods of death and a slave-girl with magic eyes in order to barely beat L before being caught
He was beyond retarded.
Did he come up with that halfway through
Probably more than half, since Ryuk said Light's dad "went to heaven" after he died, but then they changed that in the volume's release to just "died"
They later said the heaven or hell thing was just that they don't go there because it doesn't exist.
in the manga the scenes the same except Light deducts that means that no one goes to heaven or hell and ryuk confirms theres no afterlife.

Low budget Death Note game in 2024... Why bother?
low price
day one 60 dollars of dlc
yea you can go fuck yourself with that bs
anon, your creampie?
Why is that shit not free on PC? I wanted to convince friends to play with me but now it will be harder
I have gripes with the anime and with the manga. They both suck after L dies. I still deeply adore the show regardless of how flawed. If you want a truly good Deathnote experience, go watch the two live action Japanese movies released in 2006. They fixed Deathnote, and it's the best version of the story period. They added great new twist that are some of my favorite in the franchise and the ending was WAY better. They eventually released a new film called Death Note 2: The Last Name which introduced Near finally and it was so laughably bad, it was easily one of the worst things I have ever seen. Glad they took Near out of the main show and out him in some new side filler bad movie. The first two films though are absolutely peak.
one person leaves
whole game ends
have yet to finish a whole game, refunding this shit
i dont get these kinda games, maybe im just stupid
Been a while since I watched but how did Light get caught and Kira being narrowed down to Japan?
I like these kind of deduction mafia games but too bad it isn't free with all the cosmetic dlc it has.
L looks at the dates/times of death of every criminal who died from a heart attack
Realizes that they all occurred during the same few hours each day
Specifically during the afternoon/early evenings in Japan's time zone
Deduces that Kira is likely in Japan because of this
Deduces that Kira is likely a highschool student because that's when students get out of school and have the most free time
Deduces that Kira is probably in the Tokyo area because it's where the most people live
Broadcasts a fake "worldwide" announcement calling out Kira, it's actually only being broadcast in that one area
L's original plan was to air the broadcast in different parts of Japan one-by-one until he elicited a reaction from Kira
Light takes the bait right away and kills L's stand-in, unknowingly confirming L's suspicions
He basically just used pattern recognition and made an educated guess, and got lucky due to Light's own hubris and spite getting the better of him.
And yet fujos never stopped crying about L's death.
Light thinking he's the smartest person in the world and tripping himself up because of it is a recurring theme and especially crops up after he feels god-like control and power like at the start.
There were a ton of things Kira could have done to mitigate any chance of anyone ever narrowing him down
use notebook to use more creative deaths than just heart attacks
use notebook to plan the time of death for random times rather than use the default
Use it sporadically rather than setting a pattern
not respond to obvious fucking bait
It's already out?!
They really sent this one out to die LOL
Guess it'll be subscription fodder within months
Why is he look like that??
he who? like what?
See a blow up of a Flavor of the month indie game
Studio execs want to capitalize on the hype
By the time they release a game to compete, people have moved to the next FOTM
Repeat
Only the lind l taylor mistake was big and lets be honest they couldn'tve made the plot work without that
What the fuck were they thinking
lmao really
story of a young man ruining both his life and the lives of others all because of a messiah complex
It's like Light's Dad and L said, having the Death Note ended up being more of a curse to it's user than serve as an actual benefit.
lower crime rate
ruining lives of others
t. criminal
dies
oh shit
replaced by two faggots
dropped
I'm gonna drag the fuck out of my series so I can have exactly 108 chapters because dude buddhism lmao
what were they THINKING
dad dies as a result of his shenanigans
sister suffers from ptsd and is wheelchair bound
killed innocents to avoid capture, including those who had families
drove a woman who loved him to suicide
The afterlife not existing in Death note is suppose to give more weight to Light's actions, it hammers in the finality of L's death, if the afterlife existed, viewers could still get some sort of comfort knowing that L and light's dad are in heaven watching the events of the series unfold, and that invalidates the story's themes
except that light figured out criminals to kill mostly by watching mainstream news - in japan a country where the police can beat you into signing a confession and get away with it
Death Note is one of those stories that you had to be there when it was at its height of its popularity to really enjoy the aesthetic. Otherwise you're assaulted with poorly contrived plot points that happen for the sake of progressing the story.
Starting with japanese criminals was also a dumb move
He also went after fodder instead of people actually above the law like politicians and other rich and powerful people.
And he pretty openly wanted to off NEETs and anyone else he personally deemed worthless after he got rid of the criminals.
wtf?!!!?
I dont remember Kira being this based???
And he pretty openly wanted to off NEETs and anyone else he personally deemed worthless after he got rid of the criminals.
Incredibly based.
Nigga it's a manga they cannot expose that the government is corrupt, especially in Japan where everything is sugarcoated and authority is absolute
Matsuda completely breaking down and shooting Light in pure blind rage for what he did to his father despite being the biggest Kira supporter on the investigation team up until that point was one of most kino payoffs I've ever seen
He was also very cute.
japs are clueless about christian themes, and it's a miracle light didn't try to kill god in death note anyway. Its the best we could have hoped for
Killing Raye Penbar one day before he would've fucked off was stupid but it could be seen as Light just having bad luck.
But instantly switching around the times of death one day after L informed the Japanese police about his theory that Kira is a student was beyond stupid. It showed directly that he has a strong connection to someone from the police force leading to L calling the FBI on him.
The trope of turning a joke character and giving him a moment like that is pure kino
Absolutely on brand for Light though. For all his superiority and god complexes and "GENIUS INTELLECT" he never got around the fact that was a Jap and incredibly narrow minded, like the world beyond Japans shores didn't matter/didn't occur to him.
Its humanising because - thats how a lot of japs think
How do you translate "notebook that kills anyone whose name you write into it" into a game?
exactly, they live on another planet. A jap would've done as light did and killed some Chinese and Korean politicians
It's an amogus clone
Specifically during the afternoon/early evenings in Japan's time zone
Deduces that Kira is likely a highschool student because that's when students get out of school and have the most free time
see, that's fucking bullshit, why a highschool student? Why not elementary school? Why not a NEET? Why not an adult with a government job? It could've been literally anyone except a salaryman who has to job until 9pm
Deduces that Kira is probably in the Tokyo area because it's where the most people live
again, bullshit
writer suffered from selective gary stu disorder
The government being corrupt and overbearing is a common theme in japanese media though
Its just ironic that most japs I meet seem to range from fairly satisfied to politely saying they could do a better job when asking what they think of their gov.
Which is such a juxtaposition from most western countries where people wanna put the gov's heads on pikes
I mean anyone with that notebook would start by killing criminals in his own country and it's not like people will immediately know what's going on.
uhhh... money???????????? the reason people make video games?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
So this shit is basically Amogus but with Death Note characters?
A puzzle game where you're meant to find the person using it, starting with simply what L does and having just location and times of death available then using tools at your disposal to narrow it more and more.
It'd still probably suck but that's the only way you can make an actual video game without abandoning literally everything relevant to the series outside of the title.
yes.
For real, I don't think anyone would buy this slop. They would have made more money if they made it free to play and just sell cute skins.
kek
€10 (€20 if you want cosmetics for your characters) for a knock off Among Us with a Death Note reskin
Meanwhile Among Us is €4.49 and is on sale right now for €2.69 and all the cosmetics are unlockable in-game
Nah
Its just ironic that most japs
it's a cultural collectivist culture thing, as opposed to western individualism
if a jap has too strong of an opinion he might have an influence on others, and that shit's taboo. On par with not shaving pubes
Was there ANY way he could have won without dying?
Hard mode: It has to be after he revealed himself to Light and Misa.
Kira is among us...
That' not how you swim
He could have shot him at any time. A part of the theme between Light and L is that they both take it too much as a game.
not that guy but Light turned the world into a utopia where a big majority of people lived in constant paranoia, fear, and desire to "murder" people they don't like by framing them for being criminals. the world also didn't become any more or less fair because most criminals and illegal organizations continued their work way more secretly and professionally than before Light got the death note. not to mention that Kira and Mikami murdered fuck ton of innocent people. Kira kept killing tons of skilled agents who could've done a lot of good for the world simply because they didn't agree with him. Mikami kept killing a ton of ordinary people who simply didn't support society enough because of either laziness, depression, or living in the wrong environment
the world became safer but it didn't matter in the end because most people lived more miserable lives just like people in the Soviet Union under Stalin. Light didn't give a fuck about any of that because he never really cared about making the world a better place or making people happier. he just wanted power and to be worshipped. he only cared about himself
the entire message of Death Note is that power corrupts and actions don't justify the means. the author of the manga (Tsugumi Ohba) wrote Light with personality traits he personally dislikes and made his story end in the most brutal, pathetic, and embarrassing way possible on purpose
L knew he was going to die in episode 25. He should've taken Light with him. He had nothing to lose.
Don't the CEOs in the amnesia arc actually say that word for word?
Shueisha compiled the entire manga and rereleased it as a 2400 page book
6.4 billion
The Black Edition is better
In the 2006 live action movies, they changed the ending, and I absolutely loved it. Light still wrote his name down in his Deathnote. L is believed to be dead (and plays dead). Turns out L wrote his own name down in the other Deathnote when he had possession of it, allowing himself the maximum amount of allowed time before dying. Since his name was already in a book, Light's addition to his book didn't do anything. L shows up in the final scene where Light dies. L then lives his last few days in peace before he dies. They allowed L to outplay Light in the final moments by sacrifing himself instead of replacing him with the retards nobody likes.
L should've just tested the notebook in secret instead of announcing his plan, although I'm not sure that would've been possible with Rem there.
The Black Editions also corrected some mistranslations
There's speculation that Death Note was meant to end when L died. I saw this post on Quora a while back but I can't find it but someone on Reddit quoted it
"Ohba and Obata’s next work, Bakuman. In Bakuman, Ohba and Obata tell the story of Ashirogi Muto, a team of manga writer and illustrator trying to make it big in Shounen Jump. They are obvious stand-ins for Ohba (writer) and Obata (illustrator).
In Bakuman, Ahshirogi Muto brings up the issue of mangaka being forced to continue stories way past when they intended them to end, which is typical of a hit Shounen Jump work. To combat this, they decide to create a hit series that is uber popular, but make it a point to end it at a definite point instead of letting it continue endlessly. Ashirogi Muto even complains about those the problems of being forced to continue the work (story is half-assed, no longer feel like doing it, etc.)
This story was Reversi, which in Bakuman runs for some 50-chapters before they end it by killing the protagonist irrevocably. This pretty much coincides with the chapter count where L dies in episode 25 (this was chapter 58 in the manga).
Anyone who hasn’t read or watched Bakuman should read it. I think it’ll shed a lot of light and open your eyes regarding Death Note. This is the scene in Bakuman where they end Reversi conclusively, just as planned."
and Death Note also went on a hiatus after the L arc ended, which means the authors might have not written past L's death and had to take a break to come up with new material and there is also speculation that L was meant to win like in the films and they were forced to change it to him dying to keep the story going

L then lives his last few days in peace before he dies.
Anon didn't you see L: Change the World? He spent his last days alive fighting bio terrorists
not that guy but Light turned the world into a utopia where a big majority of people lived in constant paranoia, fear, and desire to "murder" people they don't like by framing them for being criminals.
wow so much worse than having majority of people being braindead consoomers that ignore every major crime that happens, see epstein shit etc.
the world also didn't become any more or less fair because most criminals and illegal organizations continued their work way more secretly and professionally than before Light got the death note.
Average criminal wouldnt be able to suddenly become more secret and professional, most low iq ones would get filtered and a lot of criminals do it because they arent afraid of the repercussions.
Kira kept killing tons of skilled agents who could've done a lot of good for the world simply because they didn't agree with him.
They should have focused on stopping crime instead of guy stopping it.
the world became safer but it didn't matter in the end because most people lived more miserable lives just like people in the Soviet Union under Stalin.
random comparison that has no basis.
the entire message of Death Note is that power corrupts and actions don't justify the means.
he's shit writer then because Light's actions were justified and improve the world
I try not to think about that movie.
Did you read it?
Well a neet could kill whenever they want. They’d probably kill at 2am.
Free if you have PS Plus
And this is why it's good to be a sony chad instead of a shitty whitoid pc troon
be neet light
kill in early afternoon
L never catches you
bravo miyazaki
pottery
Is it any good?
What would be the first name written down in the Deathnote if Anon Babble collectively had to majority vote on it?
It's about Naomi Misora trying to catch a serial killer in Los Angeles. L has a cameo in it and Mello narrates the novel. It's set a year before Death Note
anonymous
why did they come back to do the spinoffs then
Claimed it earlier for "free" but didn't download it yet, whats the early verdict?
Yes, I own it
It is pretty good. We need more Misora Naomi content
L actually elaborates further on this.
An elementary schooler wouldnt be mature enough to handle the consequences of mass murder, and would be too scared to use it widely
An adult would use it for monetary gain, which Light wasnt doing
A neet could do it at any time
So the reasonable deduction is a high schooler with a sense of grandeur
What did they mean by this?
Entire Lobby closes if a single person leaves
People leave when they don't get the roll they want
People leave as soon as you sus them out
Yeah this shit is garbage.
That's BS I own How to Read and the only thing that's remotely close to that is that Mello and Near were going to have the name of the other
Naomi should have been the MC of a death note game where she works under L
The hours at which the deaths happened lined up closely with the free hours a student would have, and it's unlikely to be a significantly younger child just by logic. At first they weren't attributing the deaths to some inscrutable supernatural means and were assuming some conventional means were being used to kill people surreptitiously, assisted by the fact that Kira rarely if ever used means which couldn't be attributed to some unknown conventional mechanism, which means it's probably not a young kid, regardless of how ignorant and callous they can be
A NEET would be killing at a much wider range of times, and it couldn't have been a government functionary or a teacher because their hours don't line up with a high school student.
L didn't deduce that Kira must have been operating in Tokyo, he made a decision to proceed down the list of the largest cities in Japan until he got a hit, and Tokyo, being the largest city on Earth, happened to be it.
Yes. The point of Death Note is that it would take one specific kind of arrogant retard to get caught with such a broken power. It's as much about hubris as it is about the Columbo style detective story and the problems inherent to playing God.
it would've been based if there was 18 year time skip with Misa being the mother being a huge twist desu
It's a massive reach though.
For one an elementary school absolutely could use it, in fact there's another Manga with a similar concept using aliens, Dede Demons Destruction, and one of the characters is an elementary school girl with a zealous childish sense of justice that uses the alien's devices to "fix" the world and get rid of "bad people".
A neet also needs to sleep, and besides it could also be someone who works on part time shifts. Both can still have delusions of grandeur about fixing the world. There are many shows and anime doing that very concept. Korea recently released a drama about a conbini worker who did that.
The assumption it's a high school student is simply silly. Because it's not wrong but it's also definitely not right by any merit. That way of narrowing is ridiculous . I mean fuck, even normal salary men have breaks. Not everyone sits at their shitty little cubicle all day.
Shut up retard
what level of pic related is required for death note usage?
You're exactly what the writer is warning of. You're a immature retard with a god complex that doesn't understand the nuances of life, just a typical ignorant tyrant. This is why you'll never amount to anything, and why no one should ever have too much power.
you can get banned for spoiling
Just pick a random country each time
Everyone keeps saying the lobbies close if anyone leaves, that is not encouraging to hear right before I try it out, lmao
An adult would use it for monetary gain
holy projection
Even spectators? I might have unintentionally caused a room to drop earlier if so.
lol
How is this anime still popular?
I accept your concession, loser.
namecalling is not an argument, sorry retard
imagine if they went with Ryuk concept art design desu. yaoi femcels would also go nuts
You never made an argument, just delusions of grandeur and misunderstanding how morality, crime and punishment work.
Just like your shitty tyrant idol.
ez
How do you adapt a story where everyone who plays already knows who the killer is into amogus?
umineko moment
its a game
I like Bakuman more
Not much of a game if it ends in 5 seconds as anyone who knows the first thing about death note immediately votes Kira out
what did he mean by this
have you even seen any gameplay of it?
No? Why else would I be asking how you would turn that into a game
stupid ass bitch has never played secret hitler, or mafia, or amogus, or-
everyone just votes hitler in secret hitler it's so obvious
Just did the tutorial, starting my first match now. I really doubt i'll ever play this after today, i fucking hate how it looks
Taro Kagami is best Kira.
The Death Note pilot is the best version of the story and has the best ending.
aaaand the host left 2 seconds into the game and sent me back to the lobby.
game with no blurry soap in this day and age
omw to buy it
death gods existing MUST mean humans are super special and have souls that exist forever
get killed on the first day of investigation
you can't even fucking float around and spectate, your just stuck looking at where you were killed until the match is over
Good god this game is poorly thought out.
doesn't just fade to black and deafness to simulate Mu
not gonna buy it
does the game end if you leave
you don't die in real life
did they even try?
Not sure, wouldn't be able to find out if i left to begin with since i'm not playing with anyone I know. Its pretty funny hearing everyone screaming accusations at eachother over the mic, i'm still watching the match as I shitpost in various threads
aaaaaaand L is dead.
false, you can spectate anyone
They mean that L would have identified the roofies Misa would need to slip into his drink
Using what button?
Is there any Netflix Deathnote content?
Taro Kagami is best Kira.
2nd.
How long do you think it'll be before the servers get shut down? I'll give them a year.
I thought a huge drawback of having Death Note in your possession is that you are guaranteed to go to hell once you die and that's why someone would refuse to use it?
good morning minto
faster unless they get vtubers to promote it
smart
i remember reading it years ago and enjoying it
A Misa Misa fashion game would have been better jesus
Didn't this just get announced like 2 weeks ago? And it's already out?
I wanted to say 3 year minimum, but 663 active players on steam is MUCH lower than I thought it would be.
Still, it's not like it's free to play, so I don't think it'll be a fast death. $10 is reasonable for an Among Us clone. It all depends on if the game is any good or if a big streamer gets a group of 10 others to play it.
It's just a joke Ryuk says to Light to spook him. The only guarantee was that Ryuk would end up writing in Light's name in the end. Still, it's only Ryuk saying that all humans return to nothingness (Mu) when they die. While it's fair to just assume that's also the author establishing the rule, I'm not sure how any shinigami could know about other realms they themselves haven't been to. There's a lot of things never revealed in the death note universe that probably only the shinigami king himself could elucidate on, which we never see.
character is so overpowered only a deus ex machina can stop him
shinigami king killed a zoomer once he got a hold of the notebook
With all the recent reveals that Trump was into cucking other men, it makes his cameo all the funnier.
Alright, playing as the Kira Follower is actually pretty fun.
do you know who Kira is or do you have to guess
he shows up in red text
Is this just amongus with a Death Note skin?
Yea re-read it not long ago. Absolutely bullshit rule change. At best it should've had him get told the rule while still possessing it.
What the other anon said, you have to work together
Frankly, I'd start with a high value target that no one would suspect. Let's say a top 100 CEO. He goes down, next target is someone on Death Row. They go down, Next target is going to be someone I know, in an unusual way. Like, someone I went to school with. Let's say, they break their neck while jogging. Three points of data, confirmed to work? I start eliminating known criminals in Mexico, starting there and then working through virtually all known narcotics divisions. I have this done by having them be shot by the police. I do this exactly 14 people at a time, every 4 hours, on every fourth day, for a week. Next week, I shift to a different country, and change it up. 12, every 2nd day. Some weeks, I might take a break, but I ensure to avoid my country. I might get tracked down eventually, but it will take a long, long ass time to do so. Most importantly, I don't let media influence me. Taunts, information? Wouldn't matter. I'm not in this for any sort of god like power or justice. I'm in this to just completely screw over those who abuse others. That's it. Drug peddlers, pedophiles, mass shooters. Of course, there would be red herrings along the way, but as long as I'm erratic with it and avoid anything local beyond the confirmation test, I should be fine.
I am kira
How old are you?
Shinigames don't play by human rules, they're just bored deities
Is this the Nintendo switch version?
Honestly, Light biggest mistake was not the death of Taylor but that he kept killing criminals using confidential data from the police data base, if there were no more criminal names aired on tv, he could have moved the operation to other country and keep it like that until they eventually start to give news again on jap criminals.
Light using confidential data pretty much gave L a giant IM RELATED TO SOMEONE IN THE INVESTIGATION signal.
You aren't missing out on much since the show goes downhill afterwards until the ending which was kino.
I recommend the live action movies if you want to watch an adaption (that is in some ways more faithful than the anime) where L wins.
I would just write in that everyone dies by tripping and falling down some stairs
How the fuck are they gonna link some guys having their shoelaces untied to me?
its a free game, they worked on it enough to be appealing but not enough to make big losses if it flops and dies on a month, i hope it survives enough to get some decent QoL updates because this shit is fun.
Just make it look like everyone had really bad gas.
I'm actually surprised how much I'm enjoying it, there really is some battle of wits aspect to this game. People keep calling me out as the suspect because i refuse to speak on mic lol
Where's the fun changing the rules to fuck over someone who can't see it coming. Exploiting human green where the rules are clearly laid out and then people begging for reprieve after first agreeing to said rules and then fucking around and finding out is one thing.
Fact Willem Dafoe played Ryuk
He was the best Ryuk we've gotten
always online multiplayer garbage
you know what would have actually been cool? being able to create your own character and a shinigami gives you the death note to play around with. maybe even get the original writer involved and be a sequel to the series or something.
that sounds gay, an amogus clone death note game surprisingly works for the IP, unless its a VN, the fuck are you gonna do on a SP game?
You could make a game like detroit become human where you play a detective trying to find kira instead of a vn
kill people? you could have a world like this .webm but you kill people instead of...taking pics of girls panties.
im a Anon Babble dwelling weirdo who is a slave to my based instincts and raising a family
3 minimum
that sounds gay
I know something that sounds gayer:
an amogus clone death note game
1 person leaving the match kicks everyone back into the lobby
have you played it?
Open up the player list and you can click someone to spectate.
play with friends :^)
awwwww look at this sad mentally unstable serial killer :(
all he wanted to do was chill out and brutally murder people all day :(
those stupid meany policemen had to shoot him in his pretty face and make him sad :(
I feel so bad for him :(
if killing bad why police kill him
The scene is about the death of twisted childhood idealism. Kids think stupid shit on the time. He got to act out on it a long time and it grew on top of who he was.
There's no reason for a NEET to only do it during the afternoon, and an elementary schooler probably wouldn't have the work ethic to be nearly so methodical about it
And again, it wasn't as if he was 100% sure, it was just a hypothosis, which he ended up proving true
The game is very much stacked in Team Kira's favour so long as the two coordinate.
I never watched the anime, but everything I see about it makes it sound awful, like it completely missed the point.
so long as the two coordinate
with randoms? good fucking luck
Sayu did it, she killed all those bad people.
they didn't. he was killed by Ryuk. Near wanted him alive and locked up in prison and so did all the other agents. Matsuda was the only one out of everyone who wanted Light dead
awwwww look at this sad mentally unstable serial killer
This but with Mikami
sounds like a shitty copout
Why did you reply to xher
a future doctor died :(
Its probably the best point of the series imo. He got Ryuk to do a bunch of shit to him so frequently you wouldnt be shunned for mistaking it for sympathy. Especially after what happened to Misa's shinigami. Its a nice vibe check at the end that it's all entertainment.
based this is what true sanity looks like in the modern world
you didn't miss much, its all downhill after.
the author makes Light stupid so the series can end.
oh he loses to an L clone that grew up in the same orphanage and its just terrible.
what's the point tho, doesn't that just mean detectives lost because some ghost guy kills him instead of putting him on trail
not really. Near and Aizawa's people were law protectors. not murderers. they had to scream at Matsuda and use force to stop him from executing Light
The police already won. They had him cornered, neutralized his Death Note, and dead to rights. If Ryuk didn't take pity on him and he would've spent the rest of his life rotting in a maximum security prison anyways.
Not really. He lives in a society. He pays taxes. He was already shot and bleeding out. They have his number.
I thought he had like a cult following, couldn't they just break him out
Silent majority doesnt like him. Governments would want him dead just for legitimacys sake.
I mean you can write up any contrived story to have that happen, sure. But the point is that Light already lost by that point.
idk it seems more like everyone lost to some shitty god and their magic notebook
We're going in circles. Either way, I think we can both agree the law won and Light lost.
x left the game. returning to room.
x left the game. returning to room.
L dies on first day
x left the game. returning to room.
x left the game. returning to room.
x left the game. returning to room.
L dies on first day
nah, both law and light lost
Ryuk is a reader self insert. He's just there for entertainment. It's the reader closing the book.
For my first dozen or so games where by some miracle I had a full lobby of randoms who weren't just fucking around; we were able to coordinate quite well. After those games it did go to shit after I ended up with retarded kids.
In one game the investigation team was convinced I was Kira early on, when I was the follower. I ditched the IDs I had on Kira, and when they arrested me they stopped the accusations. A day later Kira slips up with about 20 seconds left and everyone gets suspicious. I called him over using the communicator and he gave me everything just in time before they arrested him. Now the investigators are fighting amongst themselves because they're reluctant to acuse the same person twice without hard proof. The L ended up slipping up because with five players left, he uses the L messaging to say the remaining two investigators were suspicious, giving away his identity.
Does anyone like Death Note besides people who read it as teenagers and like the stupid ass every character is 15 steps ahead bullshit
I think Matsuda's last words to Light are a damning indictment of good winning vs evil, but you do you.
He's just like me frfr. I did like a lot of the "everybodys friends" bits. They even let you have that with light being memory wiped.
Ryuk is the source of the weapon tho, he can't be a simple self insert
that actually sounds kinda fun. wish i was more sober to actually play
cANt HaVe ThE BaD GuY WiN BeCaUsE ThAt WoUlD Be tEaChInG BaD MoRaLs
Imagine the way millenials would be right now if L won. No edgy persona's. Everyone would think the smelly neet stands on top.
thoughts on white Misa?
The real Among Us with randoms experience.
I think you misunderstood me. I was seething over the last part where Light loses. I believe that last part only exist because it would have beeen bad lesson for light to win.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought she looked strangely anime/Misa-ish.
Light was going to die in the original ending that Ohba planned too. The TV version of the anime even hints at it. You see Ryuk getting ready to use his pen after realizing how evil Light is
status quo good
change bad
I mean you literslly described what they were thinking
l4friends!
Shinigames don't play by human rules
but they play by their own rules throughout the whole death note story
up untill the end of that spin off story
you are seriously low iq if you defend the rule change
You might be surprised to learn there's people who are both those things
Genuinely bullshit, every time I remember Death Note I remember that ending
light is 100% an egomaniac undone by his hubris in every possible reading of the text EVEN if you think his killing philosophy is good for mankind
light is UNIQUELY bad as a messiah nobody else could have fucked up hard enough to get tracked as fast as he did using a supernatural killing tool in a modern world
the original American live-action adaptation of Death Note started production all the way back in 2009
the writers around the time originally considered Zack Effron and Brie Larson to play the roles of Light and Misa
could've been better than the final Netflix product desu
final Netflix product desu
good news!
To be fair, the anime ending is kino just because Masuda was going for the kill
Honestly I don't think Death Note would be solvable in current day, chose targets at random from the news in our overly connected globalist media cycle and that's it.
That wouldn't actually work. The death note requires a person's birth name to work. Changing your name won't do shit.
I've wondered about that. What happens if you're not given a name at birth?
not choosing every politician in every country
I'm really curious what would humanity even do at that point
Jenna ortega as misa, Jaden smith as Light.
It requires a name and a face, so I guess you'd just write down "that loser whose parents didn't name them" while thinking of their face.
Then you're like a demon. It works off the whole logic of "names are powerful seals".
Fr? I kinda wanted to try
That's also a hot option desu, imagine it happens once and never again
Near instinctively knows fake-L is Kira and tricks Light into doing the most retarded things, on top of getting lucky
He completely gives up and goes "Well this new Kira is just too smart I can't do anything about it lol" just to show how bussin and big brain the new MC is
I no joke like the netflix movie
will you be watching the new one?
moi nyymi
YOUR SON IS KIRA, JAMES!
I like how Ryuk always has the same expression but you can tell he was just like
what the FUCK bro
during this scene.
Would still be solvable if we keep the same characters. Light has the biggest ego in the world. He'll find a way to slip up.
its called SOVL
guys why dont the players in among us just vote the guy who has the imposter role out? Isn't that the point of the game?
P Diddy as Light, Justin Bieber as Misa
that game is gonna die quicker than that Konami Crimesight game.
And Crimesight at least had a cool concept and was a new IP. I'm actually sad the servers closed
Intelligent wife lilypichu so good at catching kira
honestly a first person game like the ship would work better than some top down shit
has she and uhmm i forgot his name but the acne dork had raw baby making sex yet asking for a friend
3d is too advanced to navigate for zoomers
The game is pretty fun, but
if anyone disconnects mid-match, the game ends
only one map
battle pass shit on top of a paid game
premium purchase skins on top of battle pass shit
Releasing at a bad time for that. Vtubers are gonna be all over the new Holocure update for the next few weeks.
What happens to you if you die after using the death note? No heaven or hell, so what?
Void Stranger is a game that rewards inquisitive thought. It looks like a basic block-pusher puzzler but its much, much more. Do you like exploration and knowledge-based progression? If so, give it a try. Be cautioned that its perfectly normal and acceptable to bounce off it once or twice. Its hard, but it gives you lots of options if youre attentive enough to notice them.
It showed directly that he has a strong connection to someone from the police force
Light was a cocky shit, he wanted to rub L's nose in how he was a step ahead of him.
reddit writing
you just die
In the official Death Note audio drama all humans go to the shinigami realm when they die and L goes to the shinigami realm and meets the shinigami king and he ends up returning to earth and shows up at the meeting in the yellow box warehouse
tentative
Fanfic where Light digs up L's body and rapes his corpse
Also
no music from the anime
I dont get it
8 billion people
jeets niggers and chinks are not humans have souls or even the fact the death note note work on them because they are like insects
Why did they give him an english name in the first place?
no, he says there's no afterlife if you use it
the thing is, there's no afterlife if you don't use it either lol
a country where the police can beat you into signing a confession and get away with it
So like the US
No in US you would hang yourself
this is actually kind of cool
ChatGPT, randomize initial conditions and generate a new answer to the previous prompt
It's like before you were born.
This screams 2006-2009 FFdotnet bullshit
Specifically during the afternoon/early evenings in Japan's time zone
Which is early morning Brit-Time, or Late Night in California. Each would be a completely reasonable time for someone with an afternoon or Graveyard shift.
It's only by sheer coincidence that Light was a bog-standard Japanese kid with a standard schedule, and not some kind of Otaku, or L would've never pinged Japan at all.
I dont normally play games with a mic on, but this one its kinda crucial. Makes it much easier to boldy lie about having my ID stolen so I can throw people off my trail when I'm Kira or his follower
THE OLYMPICS
HE ONLY GOT BRONZZE MATSUDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Bamco cancelled a bunch of games in development after the disaster of Blue Protocol
That included Nardo and Wan Piss games
Amongas Note dodged the chopping block
You know that whole thing about smart characters beibg only as smart as their writer?
L's intelligence began and ended at reading the script.
Reminds me of Breaking Bad where every "ingenius" scheme would break down with the most minor deviation from the intended path.
TTS L
I don't know what I expected
I hope your dog gets cancer.
I refuse to believe a live action movie is better than the source material. I simply can't.
This is the ultimate way to filter a real fan of Death Note. If you quit watching you never liked the show, you just liked how L was a wholesome quirky heckin' chungus.
what was Misa's sexiest outfit?
The show went to shit after L died so it checks out.
This game definitely didn’t cost them much, very likely even lower than the most barebones next One Piece or Naruto game they could be making and got scrapped, so might as well throw it out there if it is ready to ship it.
You are not a TRUE eater of shit!
Gee, I am ever so ashamed.
I don't really like L but his replacements are trash
Will I like the live action jap movie if I think the animu was overall dumb and cringe?
The ending of the live action movies is 100% better than the anime, it's no contest.
He looks like he's farting furiously.
