fucking this. Everything under the sun with a screen can emulate GBA; you can buy a cheapo chinkheld for less than 10 bucks that'll get the job done, but DS and 3ds are the biggest pain in the ass to emulate because of the dual screen gimmick, which makes using actual hardware appealing.

DSi was kino as fuck and had a battery that seemingly would never run out. I didn't touch mine for like 2 years, then went to turn it on and it still had like 50% battery

Flashcards are simpler to use, I'll give you that, but the SD card on DSI just werks after you set it up. Also an R4 clone + micro SD card can't be cheaper than just buying an SD card by itself, and if you already have a fullsize SD card or Micro+adapter laying around, then you don't really need to spend money on a flashcard.

R4 clones tend to come with a dirt cheap microSD with Wood already installed, not optimal at all but it does get you started

They're still ubiquitous for the same reason 3DS emulation took near console end-of-life to start getting acceptable, it was easier and better to just get a 3DS or 2DS and hack it. For flashcarts it's the same difficulty level for better results, lower cost of entry depending on if they throw in a shit cheap 4GB SD card

It's only happened to me once with the PSP 1000. Even than it's not as bad as the one in your picture. Mine still turns on it works but there is some other issue that I have no idea what it is. I'm pretty sure it was my fault because I kept it in the bathroom while I showered and stuff.

checked my psp because of this. got it from a friend 13 years ago, battery's still fine. slotted it into the PSP and put the cover back on (without force) just to check.
