Best tcg on your phone

Why aren’t you playing the best card game on your phone?

Also what is your favorite deck to play. Mine is arbok and pigeott

IMG_1618.jpg - 768x432, 73.81K

Is the new event stamina consumed on entry or on win? My decks suck, and I'm afraid of losing on the harder difficulty.

Why aren’t you playing the best card game on your phone?

I prefer the PC client of Eternal, thanks.

have to spend money for digital ""goods""

nah

Are there goonable girls and cute boys in it?

I don't play games with micro transactions

Sorry I'll pass then

Why aren’t you playing the best card game on your phone?

Because Yugioh Master Duel is censored in the west and you can only mod the japanese art into the PC version.

Why do you Pokemonfags get to have cards that let you draw 6 in a single turn?

I havent played since the gameboy game, when were energy cards removed? The random energy system I can't say I'm crazy about.

buying cards

buying fake cards

want to just open packs and look at cool cards

event forces me to play the shitty watered down battle mode to get certain cards

):<

only girls in are misty and sabrina

zzz

I got the Charizard card that has the long animation on pull.

I'm torn on the battle. Its so simplified, but also kind of took the tedium out.

100 packs for $100

Is this the best deal in recent mobile games?

After about a week of casual play there’s already nothing to do but random online battles. They should have launched this shit with double the number of cards, because we’re apparently not getting the next full expansion until January.

non existent gameplay
there's nothing to do in that dogshit skinner box

nothing to do

The whole point of this game is to collect cards. Have you completed the dex yet?

You already did the Lapras Event?

Why do you Pokemonfags get to have cards that let you draw 6 in a single turn?

We have worse RNG, so it balances itself out.

Feels good acknowledging the existence of non-AAA card games and spending my time NOT playing hot garbage.

when were energy cards removed?

Only this game apparently.
Pokemon Tcg Live is how the physical cards play, and energy cards is still a thing over there.

Digisisters...where is our game...

On win. It's also dumb easy, just bring a pauper electric pile and autobattle will win 6/10 games for you even on the highest difficulty - closer to 100% on anything lower, just can't out-DPS if they turbo out both Lapras and Starmie turn 2

-2x volt / electrode
-1x blitze / zebstrika
-1x helioptile / heliolisk
-And the usual trainer line (craft giovanni if you don't have at least one, it lets electrode get over the KO threshold here in particular)

This game is basically the Duel Links of Pokemon TCG. Some mechanics were changed to make the duels go faster

its never a solid singleplayer experience

always a shitty multiplayer cashgrab

The OG TCG Online's Single player card league was pretty good

i dont know, i prefer to get cards regularly so I get stronger after each fight, not grind 10+ matches for 1 booster

digital tcg

no thanks homo, I like my cards to have value

With the PC tcg version, you can scan your pack QRs to get digital cards.

Blaine and chansey nuke deck

the only interesting thing about this was the trading, but its not implemented yet

NTA but this one worked for the normal rarity mission, thanks. Now I need to do the same on Expert.

i have opened a fuckton of packs and i still have no deck to play with. So i just log on to open the daily packs and that's it. Garbage game tbqh but i maybe it will get better once i get a deck (if ever)

anon your rental decks?

buying

who said anything about buying? i'm f2p and i have 300 cards so far, with every rare except for 2 from the packs i was opening. i even got 3 different gengar ex cards (my favourite pokemon), so i'm pretty happy.

if anything, it's a way to enjoy the collection and art of pokemon tcg WITHOUT having to spend exorbant amounts of money.

Getting Moltres EX opens up every fire line, scollipede's copeable. Same with Misty, get her & a free Lapras EX and you can start waterturboing.

I just splurged on an pika tenpull and got nothing but an eevee fullart

Just reroll, the game is like 2 weeks old and the new sets arrive in like late Dec-Jan

Pin Missile

Tails

Concede

I mean to play against people. Since AI is too fucking dumb so it doesn't feel like a challenge until you get to the last difficulty where the AI have good cards and you're still with shitty rental decks.

I only friend japanese players so their JP cards appears on my WP.

I swear the coins are weighted to make you lose

God I feel you.

play a quick game before class in college

running a mewtwo ex deck, opponent runs dragonite

dragonite runs draco meteor

three hits on mewtwo and i lose

Somehow I don't think it's random.

how generous is this game compared to runeterra? i dont mind putting down a few bucks but it better get me a comfy stash of cards without havig to deal with wallet warrior deck opponents

Gives a large amount of initial packs and you get 2 free packs a day (3 if you buy the premium pass). Decks are only 20 cards so it's not hard to make a good deck quickly

I've not used any timer boost items. I don't have anything to use to make a decent deck. I don't want to waste the items so early but how am I supposed to get anything otherwise? Should I just use them?

You can only run up to two-ofs, you get 2.5 free packs daily (plus like 50 start-of-account extras), and the game only has one set as of now; run through them all and you'll have /something/.

The especially nice thing is that rarity only really gates shinier, sexier art variants; you can get the homely Articuno EX, the Sexy Articuno EX, or the Even Sexier Articuno EX, but they all do the same thing and count toward the same 2x deck limit. No need to highroll for much, at least as of now.

Ideally (in my opinion) you'd save them up for a 10 pull, but if you desperately want cards now, I see no reason not to go for it.

Yes you should use them, this first initial set is mostly likely the core set future sets will build off of

Look in the shop - see how there's a limited stash of purchaseable ones for tickets that refresh every month?

Buy them all out and use at least that many. You'll get more from every event and daily login missions, just pull until you have *a core* from this set and then sit on enough to tenpull once, maybe twice from whatever set comes next. Rinse and repeat.

okay that doesnt sound too bad, i'll give it a download
but only cause i'm bored

I haven’t played Runeterra, but I have played Duel Links and this game is much better than DL regarding card prices. In this game, each card has different rarities, and you can directly buy the card you want. Obviously higher rarities cost more, but if you just want to duel you can craft the lower rarities for a cheap price using ingame currency.
EX cards are the actual meta cards you’ll want, they’re unique and more expensive, but you usually need 2 or 4 of them depending on how competitive you want to be. In DL you often need a lot of UR and SR cards in your deck without any way to craft them manually, and the gems needed to pull for packs are extremely hard to come by.
Another good thing is that new packs are released every two months or so, giving you time to pull the cards normally, do the events or save up currency for pack openings.

Yugioh is the only TCG where draw more cards for free is inherently broken, every other TCG has another form of resource management aside from cards in hand to balance themselves around.

Because I'm unfamiliar with any card that came after the GBC game and don't really want to have to catch up.

still no important EX card, only exeggcutor

lvl 13

is this considered bad luck or not? I haven't seen the collection of other players and I don't know the drop ratios

PTCG but even more babby mode

No thank you

haha very fun card

I've got plenty of EX cards at 15 what do you have exactly?

That would be a great card if the deck size wasn't 20
If your deck is optimized as fuck you're just giving your opponent another chance at a gamebreaking card whilst doing 0 damage (or none if you lose the coinflip)

Is it like regular ptcg or is there a catch

On the other hand, virtually all YGO decks have "SEARCH, THEN SPECIAL SUMMON, THEN SEARCH" so drawing is not needed anymore. Hell, good decks end up with the same hand size after comboing, which is fucking stupid.

Depends on what you want to play, really. I wanted an elect deck and got ZapdosEX on my normal pulls, so I stop rerolling after that.

it's more streamlined, like how Duel Links is to YuGiOh.

I pulled a Mewtwo my second pack, do they do that to everyone to get them hooked? Either way, kinda fun to get a notification to open a pack a day even though I'm gonna avoid the battle part because I can't build decks in any card games I play to save my life

what's the difference between the booster packs (mewtwo, pika, chari)?
should i focus on one? what's the sovlless meta choice right now?

gachaslop :(
gachaslop (pokemon) :O based based based!

Go first

High disadvantage with a probable loss

Go Second

High advantage with a probable win

it is fun, so far at least
got a Zapdos and it slaps
also

weak to electric

Each pack has different cards depending on what you want to build.
Soulless=Mewtwo

Depends on which deck you want to play, going first is best if you want to evolve asap, like running an Exeggutor deck for example.

363 cards, exeggcutor, starmie and gengar EX, full art charmander, rapidash, gyarados, lapras, nidoking, koffing, pidgeot, ditto and porygon
I don't know how to sort by rarity

is there a tldr for each playstyle? do we have a general thread / rentry?

Even though Duel Links is super stingy with gems compared to how many you'll need for dupe URs, I much prefer its method of box pulls. It sucks doing all 180 pulls just for a single copy of that UR you want, but there's at least some kind of finish line in sight. I don't think there's anything like that in TCG Pocket.

attach energy to big basic pokemon and use the one attack it has
there's nothing more to it and no other way for you to influence the match
everything else is decided for you

but anon you get a free cardpack EVERYDAY for free!

Best tcg is on gbc with two very cool romhacks and isn’t gacha slop with watered down rules and systems

It's not even the best Pokemon TCG app, even if TCG Live app is kinda garbage at least you play the real game instead of this baby shit

You can go to HIS site to check decklists

pokemonmeta.com/top-decks

Every deck will play similar but with some sort of twist, like the Mewtwo deck requires Gardevoir in the back to feed him energy, or the Pikachu deck requires you to have a full bench or elec pokemon to do more damage. etc.

what? it's an autobattler? there's no concepts like rushdown or control?
last i played pokemon cards was when the gameboy (color?) released and it had a bit more to it than what you just said, prize cards were a thing but i forgot how it all worked

this game is way too simple for a tcg :(

there's no trading.
there's no actual cards.
it's barely even a game.

Cant even sell my cards either to make money
this fucking sucks

start

can't use energy

this is too punishing

Can play gyarados starmie if you have Misty and rapidash ninetales with Blaine. If you can get Kangaskhan through tickets that would be good too, she fits in every deck pretty much

well actually you're just buying the license to use the cards

fridgemode misty

what were they thinking?

Just play decks that aren't censored on mobile like I do. I'm still rockin 60 card Eldlich going into 2025.

Year 24 of TPCie failing to make a Pokémon TCG game as good as pictured related.

have over half of the current released cards already ine one day

Pretty fucking rad.

only 3 usable decks

Guess PvP will be aids for months.

So just to be sure, there's no benefits to opening 10 packs at once vs just using my hourglasses as I obtain them, right?

Those are your tier 1s, there are a lot of tier 2s at the moment

you get cards in whatever language the game was when you open boosters

gay game decided to put some random language at the start

no way to change until tutorial ends

half my cards are in a language I can't even read

what a great game

Why would you handicap yourself for no reason othern than being fucked in the ass by S-tier?

It's okay but the meta is already solved
Needs an expansion after just 5 days of existence, not a good sign

except if you're blowing away something with like 4 energy cards and 2 evolutions on it, that's gonna take a long time to recover

Because the gap is not that wide (yet)

caring about pvp in a collection game

Give them a Maxx C for energy or something lmao

All packs have the same amount of luck, so it doesn't matter if you 10 pull or 1 pull. If you just want 1 card from a set, then it's better to do singles so you don't waste the remaining 9 packs in cards you don't want or have

this is the most soulless menu i've ever seen
blank background with white interface elements
did they forget to hire artists?
the music is garbage too

Why aren’t you playing the best card game on your phone?

Oh anon, I have been. And now I'm taking over your thread to shill.

Played a lot. Finished my mewtwo deck and I have a pretty good dark deck that's fun.
The games great. Only complaint is some of the rarity stuff seems weird. Crafting is WAY too expensive for lower end stuff. Trading might fix that though.

yeah I really enjoy waiting 6 months to get a singular card, poggers
mr brode's wild ride fucking sucks

6 months to get a singular card

What in the world are you even talking about.

art sucks

your dogwater game
there's delayed gratification, then there's this shit where you have to sit on your ass for months on end playing sub-par decks
... or make a 'gratuitous' donation to the brode ozempic foundation

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
I LOVE SUPER HEROES
I LOOOOOVE THE AVENGERS
I love when captain America says "avengers... assemble" it makes me pog.
And then iron man goes pew pew pew.

I'll start doing battles when I get my Dragon deck up and running.
But I guess a Lapras wouldn't hurt for that, either. What do I need to do for one of those, just play Solo games against the AI?

yes, just do the lapras event and you'll get one eventually.

I wouldn't think a Dragon deck could afford to pump 3 energy into a Lapras desu

The Lapras event is kinda tough. You fight against 4 levels of the deck, the last one is a gaurentee to drop a promo card, the rest are random, so you want to spam the higher level one since you can only do it so many times.
You should be doing the ai solo stuff anyway since it's good for levels and they are mostly easy.

3 Energy

Damn. I didn't know it was a 3-per. I was thinking of that old original set Lapras I had with a 1/2. Oh well, still wouldn't hurt to grab.
Thanks for the info, bros.

You're never going to unlock less than 1 new card a week, and that's at the late late game when you've caught up with the release schedule.

bika bika :DDD

277723.jpg - 251x345, 38.25K

Bros, I fucking love Lapras so much

I hate his event, can't grind the max difficulty if I just win 1 in 10 matches

Bro, I love fucking Lapras so much

to be fair, you don't lose event timers if you lose, they only get consumed when you win.

how are you so bad
just build an electric deck that the AI can handle and auto battle, it'll win like 7/10 times
the only time itll lose is if the opponent high rolls the misty supporter and sets up a lapras super fast

If Pichu is anywhere under Pikachu

Lewd!
e621.net/posts/4924895

except when you get a super speshul and totally not throwaway variant or random dupes. my fucking ass "never"
and that still doesn't excuse having to wait half a year for certain cards to show up on spotlights or having to spend like 70$ worth of premium currency on it, currency you generate very VERY slowly.

I know your shit game, and I know exactly why I stopped playing it.
the only people still on this shit are mazed retards clinging onto the sparkly shinies they hoarded, there's no one new coming in or coming back for that matter for good reason.

I'm surprised how good it is. I thought I would have a problem with it being a "lite" version of the game, but in some ways, it actually improves it.
I just hope they keep the momentum for events, new cards etc.

Anyway, I love the Dragonite deck I made. It's a bit risky to set up, but once I do... I win.

have to make an account

Just post it

I would very much like this troll card.

I should just reroll at this point

What a harem

This is one of the most subtly predatory mobile games I've seen.

Each [currency] is 1/12 of a pull but they load you up with them early and with bloated numbers so it seems like more

Takes 3 days of dailies to get a single extra pull

Wonder Picks take between 1 and 3 Wonder Shekels (from what I've seen so far) which is 12-36 hours of waiting, on top of a time limit per pick

Boosters are only 5 cards so "two" pulls is the equivalent to a single real booster (at least in America)

Event Shekels on top of all the other timegated currencies that also have a 1/12 of a pull currency with an extremely tight FOMO window so with moderate luck and no money invested you're missing out

Collection focused so FOMO here is arguably worse than other gacha games

Customary 5 different premium currencies for specific areas with some overlap

Built in Battle mode that rewards people who spend the most money which is impossible to keep up with outside of cash or extreme luck

And to top it all off it runs like complete shit and there's an annoying amount of extra inputs you need to do just to open a pack and register the new cards. Well, "register new cards" doesn't happen all that often I guess because out of the 12 or so packs I've opened I've seen at least one repeat per pack which is just wonderful to see with 65 cards registered a week into its lifespan.

wrong. picrel is still unironically the best mobile card game ever made.c

1730832507882.jpg - 616x353, 170.88K

As a beginner to the game (besides the great GBC one from way back), is the Butterfree passive skill worth building around? For like a sustain comp, probably with Erikas and some beefy life stealing frontliner like Venusaur maybe. Or is such a deck far too slow for this game?

file.png - 367x512, 351.8K

Best tcg

We don’t have the t yet

Chink gachas are way worse

seems kinda weak but I've only played the AI ladders really and only a couple online matches. I'm free to play and I assume online is full of whales that put out legendary ex cards turn 1.

yeah same with the wonderpick. get that fancy full art card
drip feed them dopamine until they want more

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES

IMG_4018.jpg - 1170x1759, 1.38M

Too slow, it requires too much setup and by that time your opponent might have a pokemon that can do 100+damage per turn, so your heal won't matter much.
If you're running a stall deck, then it's probably ok.

having more than one three-stage line in your deck is just asking for trouble imo
I'd try it with exeggutor ex or maybe beefy normals

it probably leans towards too slow
3 energies for 60 damage is really underpowered so this guy would be mostly bench support, and the fact that he's a stage 2 makes it an awful lot of setup when a potion or an Erika would be just as effective at turning the tide

youtube.com/watch?v=_85cqcPxmdA I like Hatterene more than Gardevoir. When's our girl getting added? Also my cards are fucked up

pulled immersive Mewtwo and Gardevoir from the Mewtwo pack

Wonder pull EX Gengar

Guess I'm done with that pack.

pulled for immersive Pikachu and Charizard and get nothing for days

Wonder pull EX Blastoise

Goddamn the Wonder picks are rigged as fuck but it's the only band-aid for Free to Play players. The PvP has a soft skill based matchmaking, it likely reads the power gap of your deck and only puts you with those. First 2 days I got matched with NOTHING BUT 2 EX and regular Mewtwo and 2EX Pikachu dudes for days. I think the current matchmaking needs a little work, but the real work will be what Rank evolves into. I think for Ranked it should be: 40 card decks, 4 active bench, 3 prize cards format and it should have all the music from the GameBoy Color Pokemon TCG.

I'm not sure how to feel about Energy when it comes to Ranked format and how upping the 20->40 deck limit will be filled with 10 energy cards lol. One thing I have to say as a YuGiOh and Pokemon 90s boomer is that the addition of 300HP+ cards is absurd like YuGiOh paragraph texts, as new cards get added (January is the next season from the leaks) I want the upper limit to settle around low 200s HP. Like Blissey is a Gen 2 Pokemon and the original Chansey I believe was 120HP, so EX Blissey or whatever vanilla Blissey will be knocking at 200HP's door. I also think right now Water decks are too strong, with Electric and Psychic being just about even. Gardevoir can make Psychic Gengar and Mewtwo spiral out of control, though Electric is technically better on paper due to low retreat costs and high impact damage. Fire decks fucking blow dicks if you don't have the EX Moltres, I have EX Charizard and it's pointless without a designated energy battery pack Moltres.

Oh for sure but that's why I mentioned subtlety, there's ones much, much worse but they are in your face, this is happy nintendo pokemon time! Here's 240 hourglasses, isn't that a lot? Look, you have 94/252 cards, better fill that out and not miss a promo or you'll forever be one short! Look at how generous our pulls are, you have 5* chances to pull a card you want (20% of the time) from Wonder Pick. Oh darn, looks like you were 30 minutes short on pulling from the pack that had 5 full art cards, maybe you could spend a stopwatch and 3+ Wonder Shekels to get it, perchance? :^)

Best tcg on your phone

shitty mini-format where you can only place 3 bench pokemon, have no control whether you draw an energy or not, and going first results in losing 99% of the time

Fuck no lol

I wish every gacha was like Master Duel, the crafting/dismantling system is amazing

regardless of your opinion of whether its good or not Hunter Arts are inarguably a gimmick

And to top it all off it runs like complete shit

Hi third worlder. How's that shit Android phone working out for you?

buying

YOU assumed I'm giving them a cent, that says more about you than me.

The energy shit is the fatal flaw of the game mode, it actively punishes mixed decks because the energy draw seems to not be weighted whatsoever so you might pull 10 X energy in a row with 1 X pokemon in the deck.

Too slow for sure, you don’t want to be committing to that many state 2 lines.

I played against dnite once and he did not get a single lightning energy until the last turn of the game when it was too late. That shit should really not be random and should just alternate instead, very stupid.

If you don't have one immersive card by level 8, your account is bricked for bad luck permanently btw.

Why do you Pokemonfags get to have cards that let you draw 6 in a single turn?

Your deck sucks if you're not able to combo off into your whole deck. No, your Dark Magician deck isn't topping ANYTHING Yugi-boy.

235236236236.png - 645x692, 896.03K

I see, I did get the impression it was pretty slow, committing to a Stage 2 just for a pretty measly heal when I see some Pokemon throwing out 100s of damage. Oh well, thanks for the info anons.

That's not the point, why do you need a phone from the last 2 years to be able to show literal PNGs with a minimal UI?
I can run the DQ8 mobile port flawlessly, what the fuck is a card game's excuse?

We don't want andjeets

Anon, my Samsung S9 from 2018 runs this pretty well

I feel like going first is more of a current card pool problem, rather than a design one
if we get more evo's with passive effects or strong one energy attacks it's probably gonna even out a little bit
exeggutor and weezing are already pretty good examples of strong mons to get out on turn two

I do agree there's some problem the way energy is handled, specifically how mixed decks are handled and how retarded the tempo on certain energy generators is *cough* misty *cough*, but that can be fixed with a few small adjustments

Runs fine on my iPhone 14, a 2 year old phone. ;)

sonia.png - 305x817, 149.26K

a 2 year old

And mines some random low end Android from 2020 that as previously mentioned can run a PS2 game perfectly fine but this brings it to its knees.

Post model

Good taste!
I can't get grass-types almost at all but I too am very happy to have this card in the collection.

buy dodgy sketchy Android phone

wtf it barely works with new games

Third world in this thread.

Anon, it might be time for you to get a better phone. It works fine on my machine.

The fuck do you do with it though? Stall the game? You're still gonna lose with that no damage

apple.com/iphone/

Prices gatekeep the third world from playing Pokemon TCG Pocket

Pretty much, meanwhile you setup Dragonite and win.

Yeah whatever update rebranding they did to the original pokemon tcg, bunch of money grubbers. I collected all the cards prior with excess packs just from trading but they removed the trading in a trading card game. Just lol, what happened to T in TCG

best card game

That's not poker

I did. I don't have Zapdos or Pikachu so my best cards are shit though.

Because I can't do a much being F2P plus a hoarding maniac, I am not using my clocks until they add a set with waifucards I want.

a brand new unlocked S10+ is like $250

bleeding edge

huh

These are all hags, where are the actual waifus?

my device is not supported

file.png - 808x1000, 768.37K

Play with Venusaur and Kangaskhan i've seen it work

Paleozoic got top 8 at a regional a couple days ago.

Kangaskhan

If it had a second move that was like 30-40 power with 2 energy cost it would've been a mandatory card as a filler for any deck. Sometimes you need that consistent punch to knock something out than rely on coin flips.

I need her

I use psychic energy only Gengar and Weezing deck because that's the good stuff I got by luck of the draw. The Koga card lets you do really fun stuff so I don't mind.

What about Farfetch’d? it's 40 power for 1 colorless energy?

Farfetch'd is a great card when you're starting out but I don't think it will be mandatory for decks.

You play it to stall with its 100hp while you build up your bench, any damage you deal with it is just a bonus

Farfetch'd is a great early card like he said while you're putting a deck together. That 40 damage adds a shit ton of pressure and there's enough 1st evolution Pokemon like Kirlia and Haunter that can get fucked in 2 hits by Farfetch'd. But the reason I recommended Kangaskhan is that it's high HP and high damage output are so good it should be a recommendation even on an end-game deck that you're filling a gap with. An EX Kangaskhan would be bunkers. Actually an EX Farfetch'd only needs like 110HP and 50 power move with a Pokemon Power that makes it immune to status ailments. I also think Water Pokemon and Haunter specifically should be getting "flip a coin to add confusion".

That's actually cool, I haven't played since Gouki format so please forgive.

It's been decades since I did anything with the Pokemon TCG - why the fuck do they make going second so fucking overpowered? I should at least be able to put an energy on my dude if I go first

Too bad it's not the original TCG Kangaskhan lmao

a 100 HP wall with a 1 energy card draw

You can win with luck if you yeet his mons and he has no pokemon to put on board i saw it happen.

Going first also lets you to evolve first, right now not many decks benefit from that.

S9 chad

didn't think i'd meet another of my kind here. still running great after all these years.

Because they’re retarded and also let you attack going first if you can get energy and you can play supporters on your first turn. Anyways, I activate Misty going first, flip heads 5x in a row, and attack with blizzard before you have a chance to play a single card.

Explain "going first allows evolve". I've literally had a basic Pokemon card on the field of turn one and I can't evolve until next turn. If I go second, my basic card on the field is safe on turn one and I have to evolve the next turn. Both players have to wait one turn to evolve anyway. The only real winners of this would be Electric and Water decks who can rush out Starmie and Electrocde.

The very first tun you can't evolve, but when it comes around back to you, you'll be the first player to be able to evolve, but right now the card pool is too small, so most cards prefer going second, I think Exeggutor deck likes to go first right now.

So yeah just few Stage 1 Pokemon benefit, which is a small pool. A Charmeleon/Wartortle/Ivysaur aren't scary on their on evolved quickly.

have multiple Charizard EX

can’t for the life of me pull Moltres EX to make it work

I’m getting salty. I don’t even like Charizard.

He's saying like (for example)

I go first
I play Exeggcute
You play Ponyta and flare me for 40 - Uh oh!
I evolve into Exeggutor EX and tropical swing you for 80 and win

Just look at プテラ on twitter nips have fun with him

thicc

get to the final Lapras fight

Win this battle without the opponent getting points.

>>>>Going First!

Well in master duel, you can play banned cards and ruin your opponent’s chances. Pokemon is for kids who want to play fair…

If not, then it's not a TCG, It's just another gacha.

LOCK ME UP

there's a trading feature but it's still locked and forthcoming

Mumu player is the only one that works

Mumu Player is the only one that can run this, but it only goes up to 720p no matter what resolution your use.
If you want better visuals run scrcpy and mirror your phone screen into your PC.

they both executed their ideas well. apples to oranges, but im giving the edge to BotW because it rewards creative exploration methods

shoddily emulating a watered down facsimile of a card game that is a watered down facsimile of a video game

whats happening in the webm?

aerodactyl's move makes you flip a coin, on heads you yeet the active enemy mon back into the deck
enemy had no pokemon on the board anymore so he lost

game decided by coinflip

opponent one pkmn out

aero bounces cuno to deck

opponent has empty field, can't continue play since no benchers

F2P btw, spamming Mewtwo packs is finally paying off bros. Now I'm just missing haunter and my deck is good to go.

345737348.jpg - 1179x2556, 1.35M

The game is, unironically, too consistent for its own good.
Also fuck professor oak (of greed)

I'm rocking that and a 2 star gengar ex.
Playing a retarded gardevoir, gengar ex, mewtwo ex deck. It's cool.

That's what I'm going for, packs refuse to give me haunter.

why did they make Bill into Professor Oak when there was already a Professor Oak card back in the day? (Discard your hand and draw 7)

1588445155881.jpg - 728x546, 74.66K

Good luck mewtwobro, hope you get it soon. Don't waste your craft points.
I was on a similar situation not getting articuno exes for my full art misty, but today I got blessed with the Lapras ex event which is a perfect replacement. Fuck the mewtwo packs for a while.

I got two mewtwos and four (4) waks, and I never got a single gengar. I was just not meant to play gengar.

powercrept out of the game before he even had a chance to appear

Justice for my King.

are god packs real or are they just a meme

sorry poojeet, gotta get a real phone instead

because I rerolled like 5 times, didn't get any good pulls whatsoever, started questioning what I'm doing with my life and then promptly uninstalled it.

They are real, I got an ex pokemon out of wonder choicing one
They are disclosed on the pack distribution as a 0,05% or something like that

you can see them listed in a special section of the pull rate chart

oh i thought that just meant the chance for the rare card to pop up, not the whole pack
but that's kind of ass. 12 hours wait time for that itty bitty chance?

fuckin Expert Lapras just got 8 fucking energies on his Lapras EX on turn one from Misty lmao

>have multiple Charizard EX

I'm getting salty

Misty was a mistake.

it's a bit faster but that's it

there are basically two sets of droprates

Do people not have at least one EX deck by now?

what level are you?

The section discloses that a normal pack has a whatever % chance of pulling each type of rarity (and within that rarity which cards), and then at the bottom tells you the rarity of a god pack and the rarities of cards within the god pack.
Not like any if us will pull one, it's crazy unlikely.

You can open like 50 packs within the first day of playing if you do all the solo battle stuff
plus just fish them with wonderpicks, thats what the system is there for

what deck do I shoot for as a f2p?
ex would require 500 rerolls, the best I was able to do was 1 pika ex 1 zap ex

15, did you finish the free shit that gives you like 10 packs?

Expert Lapras tried to Turn 1 Misty me

didn't get any Heads

gave me JUST enough time to scale into a Dragonite and sweep the board before Starmies started decimating my board

FUCK YOU
YOU WATERY BITCH
YOU GET WHAT YOU FUCKING DESERVE

You can open like 50 packs within the first day of playing if you do all the solo battle stuff

Done

plus just fish them with wonderpicks, thats what the system is there for

Done
I guess I'll uninstall, luck games aren't meant for me

You can build different decks by just opening a single pack (mewtwo ex/pikachu ex/articuno ex…)
Other decks maybe require you to open multiple packs, for instance exeggutor is on charizard and venusaur on mewtwo (but if you choose your first pack as a charizard you're guaranteed to get an exeggutor ex)
Just pick an ex mon you like and reroll your acc until you get it and some decent support.

Finally a TCG gacha that respects my time. Fucking "dailies" can kiss my ass.

I hoarding my clocks until they drop a set with an Iono's card or other waifucards like Lillie or Skyla.

I managed to make mewtwo f2p pretty easily, but if you just want cheap shit

You get a free exegg or wak ex for free depending on your starting deck, and those decks are both solid. IIRC, you get wak for starting with mewtwo, exegg for zard, and arcanine for pikachu. Blaine decks are all one pointers which makes it cheap, lapras is from the event and you can probably go lapras 18 trainers like people did for articuno, arbok pidg, various annoying weezing decks like weezing dragonite, melmetal is also not bad

Why in the world would I play a glorified card pack opening simulator
The worst thing is this is going to do well just off the Pokemon name, no other TCG would ever get away with this

Oh is it a tcg emulator-

in-app purchases

the Pokémon company

Oh it's dogshit.

They exist, you can also get them through Wonder Pick, they cost 4. You want to save your wonder pick currency for when those appear.

just play poke tcg live if you want the actual game, doesn't even have in app purchases and just gives you everything for free

I think it costs 4 because of exegg and moltres
cost always goes off of highest rarity afaik

Are you guaranteed a basic on your starting hand always? Yeah I get the articuno ex decks now.

Full art gym leaders are also 4

Yes, you mulligan until you get a starter. In the actual pokemon TCG, it works similarly, but for every time you mulligan, your opponent gets to draw a card to discourage (unsuccessfully) decks doing this, but there is no penalty for a mulligan here so running 2 ex pokemon is completely fine.

My biggest gripe with the game is that it got rid of resistances. It makes the game too hyper-offense focused.

Is there a way to determine if there's a god pack in your line up? I guess it wouldn't matter as much if you do a bulk pull, but if you're pulling one at a time, some of the packs look different at times. Or maybe that's just for visual flair and they all have the same chance, and whatever you pull's already been predetermined the moment you spent your stamina.

That seems fairly busted on a game with essentially a 14 card deck because of oak and pokeballs.

yeah I just noticed, point still stands
there is a chance you'll get a trash god-pack that'll cost 3

These are the retards who have opinions on balance that need to stfu. Regardless of the shitty tcg

probably wise, i dont know what you expected from a tcg

yeah I really don't like all the ways the game has watered down from the real TCG
It's still fun, but a 60 card deck with traditional energies and 6 prizes would allow for way, way more strategy

Then don't play it

Weakness are better than in the actual tcg though, double damage is retarded. Also noone wants to turtle 40 turns in this shit except miserable dregs

I don't like resistances. Decks are already forced to be monotype basically due to how awful energy works if you have several types, and I'm already at a disadvantage when playing against Venusaur with my stupid coinflip Marowak deck. I can conceivably still win though as is, but with resistances, there would be literally 0 reason to not scoop immediately when I see a green card.

no one wants to turtle 40 turns

GIVE ME MY BOY

I'd like to see some kind of flowchart of what I should be spending my tranny flag money on
Like obviously two of every trainer, but is it worth saving up for some of the premium currency? Or should I just burn it all on hourglasses

Buy your monthly hourglasses before they reset

Just one (eirika and misty look boring) and her art ingame is meh, compare it with you pic.

You get one of each trainer doing the advanced tutorials
Saved you a bunch of trooncoins

Pikachu EX is broken OP and needs nerfed.

woah thanks

Go into the shop and buy 2 of all the support cards you don't have yet like potions and X speed. Those are cards that should be taking up literally half of your deck and you don't get them otherwise.

im doing the tutorial shit like that other anon suggested now :)

The tutorial will not get your potions and things. They are only in the shop for like 2 flags a card. Scroll down if you can't find them.

I wouldn't call this powercreep. Imposter gives your opponent so many cards that it's better in a mill strategy instead of being used as hand disruption like Red Card.

green never resists fighting

The tutorial will not get your potions

kek

Scroll down nigger.

pikachu, mewtwo, and charizard are the best decks

WOAH it's almost like the meta is playing out exactly as the devs planned!

It's not a matter of the deck just being good, it is just far too easy to get pikachu sweeping the board for 90+ damage a turn. 2 energy and fill your bench with trash and you are good to go. No other deck is that easy to pull power out of. Need to either cost more energy or do less damage.

Mewtwo and zard are definitely below pikachu. I don't think zard is really all that great.

I think I should just stick with my Mewtwo deck (I also have an Articuno deck, but no head...). My luck has gone down the shitter and hourglasses are becoming scarcer. Better save up for whatever the fuck comes next.

the way they stripped down the game makes any stage 2 pokemon really hard to justify

No other deck is that easy to pull power out of

What is Starmie EX

tcg game

can't play the tcg because of how little cards it gives

no, I will not give money for this!

There's just so many consistency issues that come from including them. There's like no draw in this game besides 2 research and no ways to search nonbasic pokemon, so you have to just draw into your kirlia and charmeleons or you'll just get ran over by literally free 90 damage.

That need to be evolved. Pikachu you just play.

You didn't say that. You just said more energies or less damage

I said that in relation to how to balance Pikachu EX. Starmie also does 90 damage but you have to go through Staryu to get there.

But you get a free deck designed around getting assblasted by the solo mission!

Slowpoke gets the best cards.

sv1_en_204.png - 734x1024, 392.86K

this game is dogshit lmao
after you finish the solo missions all that's left is the card opening dopamine hit simulator and playing the bare bones shitty simplified online that is just an excuse to show your card collection to other people

i decided i wont partake in any activity that would bring revenue to nintendo/the pokemon company due to the palworld lawsuit snd all of the other bullshit they do. i rather stick with yugioh.

YGO toddlers are snoys

lmao it fits so well

not like konami is any better, greedy fucking soulless people

I play and enjoy both MD and this

game gives me urges to buy real cards, something I've never done or cared about (marketing worked)

buy a single booster off of amazon

get this

Wish it was something better than a nu-pokemon furfag bait mon but whatever

In english, of course. google was giving me shitty results.

Because that game isn't on phones yet.

Generic Interchangeable Character #5

Uh huh

you can make the same argument for almost all anime characters

Number 1 on iOS

So THIS... is the power of mobile... kek.

Maybe if the meta wasn't ex pikachu and ex mewtwo where they are so easy to set up and start sweeping

That's hilarious, that other player must have been pissed. 9/10 this shit wouldn't work, but when it does, you have to make the other player seethe.

There's like no draw in this game besides 2 research

pokeballs and meowth.

Pokeball can't get evolution pokemon, and if you run meowth, you can't get guarantee something good off of pokeball. Meowth also feels really ass unless you just hard open it in the active or open a 1 retreat cost pokemon + x speed. If you have to retreat to meowth to attack with it by wasting energy, it's just a dead card making your pokeballs worse.

Pokeballs only drawing basic cards makes them very powerful as they are cards you are guaranteed to be able to play so long as you have board space.

wont run on my emulator
shit game

Also, use them before you use your research to thin your deck of basic cards meaning the research won't pull them.

The way I do it is so that I stay above a certain threshold. At first I told myself I wouldn't go below 100, now I wont let myself go below 200. I've only used hourglasses maybe 7 times since launch. I was using the pinsir deck for a while but now I have something alright I can use, and I'm probably 3 days away from a solid deck.

Yeah but I mean it doesn't solve the problem of it being hard to find stage 1 and 2 pokemon, and if you run meowth, it won't even guarantee something good from a ball. If you draw into a pokeball and it gets a meowth while you have a pokemon you can't retreat from for free in active, that shit is useless.

Use the pokeballs first. This thins your deck of basic cards meaning the research will pull out the higher tier stuff more often.

ive never owned a playstation. i only ever owned an n64 and then emulated everything else on phones and laptops.
theyre not the abusive company using their money to sue whoever they not like into bankrupcy.

buying

retard. I was pretty happy when I got the cubone, he's the best pogermon afterall and that card art is 10/10

sure, eric

Somehow I don't think it's random.

I saw a lot of people compain about coin flips and they really do feel unfair. I cant really say why, something just feels off and there's so many people saying the same

Post your IRL shines? /JPN/ umbreon gang here, it's written in unteanslatable hieroglyphics like the movie mew so you know its special

Fuck you for stealing like 25% of all my tcg holos Charlie, I KNOW it was you

Might be because they are truly random which means that sometimes you do get 10 tails in a row but for you playing the game that happening to you feels unfair.

I understand the concept of deck thinning. Does not solve the issue. You still have to just hard draw into them with so few draw cards.

You get a resource to get a card of your choice when opening packs but you have to open 100 packs to pick one EX card

First you only need, at absolute most, 6 pokemon in your deck (after all evolution) as you have 4 slots on the board and can lose and replace a maximum of 2 pokemon without losing the game. You can go as low as 4. Having less pokemon to work with makes drawing what you need and playing it easier. Having duplicates of pokemon also helps as it means there are 2 of whatever card it is you need to find in your deck. About half of your deck should be support cards. Every single deck will contain 2 pokeballs and 2 professor's research at minimum.

nice collection, I might start mine soon actually.

Damn I've been sleeping on that card then.

1200 hourglasses for an ex

I dunno about this...

How the fuck do you niggers have so many cards?
The game JUST came out

Can you duel npc's or anything? Is there a story? Otherwise I can't care about it. I just want a lite version of the gba games.

There is a vs AI mode as well as PvP. There is no story, just battling.

You're aware that you can get items that shorten the wait time to open packs, right? and that there's daily missions? or are you a retard that only opens 1 pack every 12 hours instead of actually interacting with the game?

Because I'm too busy playing the better game, The Bazaar :)

file.png - 1280x720, 1.83M

Nta but it's a super reasonable amount for 5 days of play, assuming you took the free premium trial + burned all your resources.

Picrel, ftp since thursday. Golbat and one other were wondertrades, cant recall

wasting hourglasses on these shit sets

couldnt be me LMAO

Why aren’t you playing the best card game on your phone?

I don't think I'm autistic enough... I don't even like trains!

Different anon, but I'm saving my copious amount of time wasters for a set full of shit I care about. I'm not KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOpilled enough for these starter sets.

thanks op I had no idea card games were saved again, it's been a long while since gbc

answer someone elses questions

fags decide to enter the convo and talk about completely unrelated shit as if anyone cares about their taste or what they prefer

is there any reason turbospergs think people give a shit about them or their opinions?

I don't play things on my phone.

Isnt deck size cap 20 cards?

not the normal 60?

I'm going save all my everythings ready for the super duper mega set and get everything in 1000 years

I'm just waiting for the inevitable Team Rocket packs. I can wait because we all know for a fact they are coming.

let's get physical bby

Reckon it's worth using up up golden hour glasses to do the Lucky Challenge (Chansey Challenge in English? That one where you can draw Chansey or one Meowth) and get as many limited time promo cards as possible for future trading?

Currently yes. It's very obviously stupid though - half of everything's just trainer cards, and running just 2x articuno EX against 18 non-pokemon is a completely viable strategy - so expectation is there's gonna be some fine-tuning. Half of all the viable cards are completely reliant on coinflips too, and the energy system's just straight fucked in a way that makes dual-color decks fully unplayable.

It's still fun-ish but in a real jank way that won't hold interest longer than a day or two. Currently collectorfagging's the main draw.

I play too many damn card games. I think learning one more would drive me insane.

$100 for literally nothing

Wow so based bros

this one is extremely simple
you can't even respond on instant speed/spell speed 2

Go first

Lose

Can you give any recommendations? I'm open to anything, this game is braindead tedious and with barely any deck variety

that's a really neat feature. always liked the physical cards with other languages.

Does this game not have the original pokemon cards? Those are the only ones I care about.

not playing in japanese

embarrassing

1460337894992.jpg - 629x749, 136.9K

Electric decks are always good fuck that type

When trading comes in you might be in luck with those.

meanwhile my Zapdos and Jolteon flip 4 tails 99% of the time
