I've been leveling MCH and crafting housing items this week.

I’m not on Dawntrail yet. I’m still on Endwalker because I read every quest text and dialogue in the game.

I still didn't get past m6s because I don't have a static and PF legitimately cannot do it for some reason. I had an easier time PFing FRU than I did m6s. Starting to consider just quitting the tier because I can't imagine dealing with this every week.

Getting the clear is the difference, but the longer that things go on, the more shitters clear and clog reclears

Off the top of my head, things like Viper and Warrior in M6S being mandatory because of how much value they bring to the add phase. Or Red Mage having an awful time in M7S since there's a lot of times where you're not going to be able to do your melee combo on the boss for extended periods.

All the issues the players are having is most likely because the playerbase has gotten progressively more retarded since HW because of the game's revolving door philosophy where the game is designed and catered specifically towards new players at the expense of old players, meaning the playerbase gets consistently worse at the game as time progresses.

Most 11 designs are boring and weirdly "realistic" despite actually not being realistic at all. Like they're cartoon armor but in a setting that's supposed to not be cartoony. It has a very off-putting look.

I did notice that, Vana'diel's aesthetic and the game's own artstyle really doesn't allow for a lot of the traditional designs, or rather it won't step outside of its own artstyle for long enough that it would allow for them. One of FFXIV's perks for artifact armor is it really doesn't fucking care what its own artstyle is when designing armors, they're designing either a character outfit that would appear for a job-holder in a FF game or they're outright modeling and texturing an older character's armor into FFXIV. Like how Trueblood armor in Stormblood is the Dragoon ensemble from 5 (or Kain from 4), or Seventh Hell is a much more garish take on Vivi.

I get that they want to limit people mindlessly gathering by limiting GP recovery, but it honestly just plays out the same way most of the time, people gathering and doing nothing else.
Some people gather while waiting for queues, but honestly I feel like I need to be in a "gathering mood" to do it.
If they changed gathering to make it more like crafting in that all your GP recovers after finishing a gathering point, they could instead gate players (and by players I mean bots, the only reason that the current system exists) by creating a timer that prevents you from gathering in that area after you've collected a certain number of times in said area, in-universe as some sort of conservation effort. Players gathering collectables to level and gear are already teleporting after every collectable rotation anyways, so it would only hamper people trying to collect a bunch of one specific item in an area. They could obviously disable or change how many gathering attempts proc the timer based on whether the location in question is the only place you can collect things like materials for splendorous tools too.

I'm talking about the missions in the new Cosmic Exploration thing. There's nothing else to gather there BUT mission items, so once you complete one of the missions in there you basically are forced to just stand around and wait for your points to recharge before you're "allowed" to try the next mission.

Yeah, like all of this looks like what would happen if you told an AI to generate costumes based on FF12/Tactics, it looks like those games, but without any of the flair or style that makes them unique and memorable. It's halfway beween those and "realistic" designs.

Souleater should have been a warrior thing where maybe they have less autoattack delay with lower health, then there's that 90+ DRK skill where when you take damage you get a buff, another easy berserker type ability. Coil had DPS checks, Gordias had ridiculous DPS checks because it wasn't balanced for crafted gear. Midas had insane DPS checks because that was when savage raids were still savage. Starting with creator they made savage extreme difficulty instead.
