Which video game characters do you personally find to be the most evil out of everything you’ve played? By that I mean, which ones are the most evil considering the resources at their disposal- for instance, a normal human could be just as evil as a galactic warlord but not destructive on the same level.
For example, the first one who comes to mind for me is Kefka from FF6.

Bottom left is Nyarlathotep from the Cthulhu mythos. He's basically the most human-like of the Outer Gods. Most of them are indifferent to humanity and sort of amoral, while Nyarlathotep is outright malevolent and enjoys torturing humanity and driving people insane.
The Qu are a hyper-advanced hivemind who conquered humanity and then forced them to evolve into whatever they wanted for their own amusement over millions of years.
So basically they're both entities who treat humanity as their playthings.

He is the peak of all evil in the book , a literal elemental of evil. I get it, Blood Meridian is le popular n shit now but that doesn't mean the Judge isn't somehow not an extremely vile and malevolent character. The whole Glanton Gang at least had some sense of morality that the Judge would chide them for, the Judge had no such thing. He's like the Iago of the entire work, every evil thing in the book revolves around his.
I think something that a lot of people forget or overlook is that SHODAN isn't just egotistical, she's completely delusional. She wrecked one space station and convinced herself that she could take on the world because she's a machine that doesn't know any better. There's this bit in the first game I like where she's hyping up her plan to fire the station's laser at Earth, convinced it's going to wreck the biosphere and set her up to rebuild everything in her image. Then when you check the correspondence from Earth they just say "Wow we have to stop that laser, if she fires that thing she could kill a couple thousand people".
It's an element I really like about her character because it centers her better in the story. She's not a person that's just evil, she's a machine that's as broken as everything else in the station.
SHODAN probably isn't even the most advanced AI in the verse either iirc

I played him as a heroic character and found it more satisfying narratively that after his many and sometimes diabolical incarnations somehow nobility and empathy have been drawn forth in this one.
SHODAN is legit the most advanced AI in the setting. She's going through teething problems of being sentient in the first and in the second she's drunk her own kool-aid and think she's god because she made life, even if she wants to destroy the many any way.
I've always thought her belief in her own divinity due to creating new life and having alleged absolute power over them was interesting since humanity by her logic should be her gods for creating her or at least extended the same position.
