Skyrim

Redguard rap

Just wait for the UE5 Skyrim remaster they're 100% going to do.

What do you want in it?

Duel weilding and blackshouting

I want it to be made by another studio.

All I want at this point is a cool world to explore and get lost in
Combat will be garbage but I can forgive that

quests that can be completed in a myriad of different ways

joining any of the guilds locks you out of joining all of the others

if the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild are present, the ability to destroy them through a short quest chain

a class system so you can't master every skill in a single playthrough

deep and robust customization options that actually heavily effect how you play the game with many options for traits/races/back rounds/classes, a male Redguard warrior who used to be a farmer will have a completely different experience to a female Altmer mage who used to be a noble for example

marriage options for every race, both male and female, with some being the companions you can meet in the game but most just being regular people you can meet in the game

fun, well written companions with fully fledged backstories and questlines that have plenty to say and will actually leave you if you do shit they wouldn't approve of

I fully expect that ES6 will have none of these. It will be even shallower than Skyrim was.

Are they so creatively bankrupt they are setting the next game in the most used province in TES again?
There are so many interesting provinces they haven't touched so why rehash Hammerfell yet again?

I really doubt they'll even manage that after Starfield. Jeets slapping UE5 assets on an over twenty year old game and it selling well gave Bethesda an ego boost after Starflop, so it's pretty much over.

Which studio other than Bethesda could make a good TES game?

You don't need a system to not complete every faction on one playthrough.
You could just not complete every faction on one playthrough.

Owlcat or Larian
I really want a CRPG set in the Elder Scrolls

There are so many interesting provinces they haven't touched so why rehash Hammerfell yet again?

Because desert setting is easier to do than exotic and alien elf country setting.

I want to join the Aldmeri Dominion/ the Thalmor and lead them to victory against the races of man

i want a well written main quest and side quests
is that too much to ask?

I want Bethesda to try making a game that includes player skill expression just one time as an experiment

This. If Bethesda had the choice of doing the bare minimum or putting in extra effort, they'll always choice the former.
Yes, it is.

Because shoehorning niggers into everything was at its height when they announced it (not the original "teaser" in like 2019, that was so vague they clearly hadn't settled on a nation yet)

so

How much exposition did you need in Oblivion or Skyrim?
It would seem " Gates to Hell are opening, go close em" or " Dragons bad, go kill em" are perfectly serviceable backdrops.

Hammerfell in the South, High Rock in the North.

joining any of the guilds locks you out of joining all of the others

Fuck that, make Larian do ES6 like a normal Elder Scrolls game, Divinity 2 was jank but dope as hell. Lmao'ing at Owlcat though jesus christ nonononono.

Mods would fix that if they ever went that stupid.

Dwarf Return rumors

more developed cities and towns (make it FEEL like more than a couple of buildings with 6 inhabitants)

Evil Elf Empire quest line (with either the option to join the Aldmeri Dominion as an Altmer/Bosmer/Khajiit, act as a spy or saboteur for them as any of the other races, or to simply fight against the dominion)

mutually exclusive guild memberships (if you join one, you cant join the others)

intelligent analysis about the collapse of empires while Tamriel deals with the death of the Empire

futa mods

Yeah that guy is retarded holy shit. Locking them behind skill level-checks like pre-Skyrim would be just fine.

>uses creation engine 2

did you miss the memo

Being able to join and become the leader of every Guild is fucking stupid and makes the guild quests feel like something apart of a checklist that you have to do with everything character regardless of how you are playing them. Good RPGs aren't afraid of locking content depending on your choices. If the only "roleplay" options you have in a RPG are what quests you don't do then its a shitty RPG.

NOOOOOO, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO EVERY SINGLE QUEST EVERY PLAYTHROUGH

Skyrim really is babby's first arr pee gee.

Being able to lead every guild is stupid.

Then don't do it.

I don't think many people care about the RPG thing.
They just want a game they enjoy playing.

This is actually a contrarian take on nu v

He can't *not be able to*. You're able to whether you do it or not. His point is that simply being able to is stupid.
I partially agree, but you shouldn't be instantly locked out of a guild because you joined another one. The guilds should just treat you differently when it makes sense to do so.
Mage's guild and Fighter's guild are competitive almost to the point of antagonism, so you can flip your allegiance if you want OR be in both if you prove yourself worthy to them both (skill checks and quests)
No one treats you differently if you join the Thieves Guild because no one knows, unless you constantly get spotted doing thief shit.
Same with the Dark Brotherhood; if you're a sloppy murderer other guilds will shun you but if you're agent 47 nothing changes.
We just want this shit to make sense.

If you don't think you should lead every guild you are under no obligation to do so.
If you are concerned others are playing the game "wrong" then don't.
You are not in charge of anyone's fun but your own. You are able to play it the way you deem proper. Give others the same courtesy.

On your mages guild/ fighters guild natural conflict I don't see it.
They serve entirely different purposes that have no natural conflict.

I could see if you were given the choice of backing the guards or thieves guild but in general there is wide latitude between the guilds.

dwemer stuff

I hated their ruins in Skyrim.

Lmao kill yourself faggot

More like Hammersmell

I WANT TO BE ABLE TO DO EVERY SINGLE QUEST EVERY PLAYTHROUGH

Correct.

There are so many interesting provinces they haven't touched

Such as?

Black Marsh has under ground aquatic highways you travel by getting absorbed into a creature and brought to your destination.

Some people apparently think you are enjoying the game wrong.
It has been that way since at least Morrowind so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

They'd literally just have to hire 10 superfans and give them all the power of creative director.

Just hire modders

Lol no.

has under ground aquatic highways you travel by getting absorbed into a creature and brought to your destination.

As cool as that sounds being in lizard country a whole game sounds shit. Black Marsh would better as DLC.

Native sexlab support.

The problem isnt that you CAN join them, it's that you can basically complete them without doing any of the actual things theyre known for. You can complete the theives guild without being stealthy. You can complete the mage college without casting spells

That is probably why they played it safe and are going back to Hammefell for the 5th time.
Keep it nice and safe.

Why do you have to be a stealthy thief?
Nothing wrong with punching people and taking their shit.
Was the Mafia stealthy?

See that Flame Atronach? You can fuck it!

You still don't get my point; joining a guild should have some actual ramifications on your playthrough outside of 3 canned greetings from guards and shit.
It makes perfect sense that guilds would come up against eachother naturally in the field when working at cross purposes either by design or by accident. There's a ton of narrative room in guild dynamics to actually have interesting interactions between them instead of the binary Yes You Are In Guild or No You Are Not In Guild that typifies Bethesda's absolutely shit tier writing since releasing Oblivion.
Off the top of my head there could be some sort of Daedric/Dwemer artifact that is being abused by some dickhead in an abandoned fort/crypt/cave/village. The Fighter's guild is being paid collectively by the surrounding towns kill the dickhead and destroy the artifact. The Mage's guild decide that they want to control the artifact after eliminating the dickhead. Naturally you are now in conflict with dickhead and his goons while also dealing with the opposing guild.
As a bonus maybe the Thieves Guild gets contracted to steal the fuckin thing as well, so they're up against three opposing forces and can play them off eachother.

I promise you, the guilds not historically having this kind of conflict is because of Bethesda lazy fucking writing and not because of any purposeful world building. We should be demanding more from this bunk ass dev team.

It has been that way since at least Morrowind so if it ain't broke don't fix it.

in Morrowind joining a House locked you out of the other two. the guilds also had quests that put you in conflict with the others and prevented you from joining, although I think they were optional quests. you also needed certain skills to rank up in the different factions, meaning your character build determined to some extent what factions you could progress in.

You are correct their is potential for conflict between guilds. It is not a natural conflict.
There is no reason the Thieves guild has an inherent problem with the mages guild.

Honestly there is more reason for them to be cooperative than antagonistic. Well the DB is the clear exception in that case.

Outside of the main quest the only lockout in Morrowind involved joining the thieves guild before getting the code book quest from the fighters guild. If you do you can lead both and if you don't you can't.
Not really a choice to make as nobody gives you an ultimatum.

Largely unlimited training made the progression spreadsheet largely irrelevant.

The natural conditions of envy and greed are enough to have guilds come into conflict with each other on AT LEAST a case by case level. It doesn't necessarily have to be all out war in every town because they have both a Mage's guild and Fighter's guild. Either or both could be contracted to protect some wealthy individual who is concerned about attempts on their life or attempts on their wallet. This shit is so easy it writes itself. You have to know by now that Bethesda hasn't done this in a compelling way is because they simply lack the ambition to try.

What do you want in it?

It to not be in Hammerfell

Outside of the main quest the only lockout in Morrowind involved joining the thieves guild

and the great houses...

You have yet to make a compelling case as to why they should exist in a state of natural conflict. All you have shown is they could.

It would make more sense for them to be amicable towards each other. Mages would need guards for expeditions. Thieves might need to research an artifact.

What is the logic in being openly hostile to non competing guilds.

Should bakers guilds be automatically hostile to a porters guild just because they are both guilds?

The great house choice is the lockout from the main quest.

i tht it was the thieves guild not some nigger gang. the lore behind the thieves guild is being stealthy anyway.
