It looks better than 5, but that's not really saying much. It's mentioned as being very easy, and the dumbed down backend mechanics and weapon types are only in service if you like the characters carrying the experience.

Can someone atleast confirm if the town layout had any effort put into it? The biggest issue I had in RF5 was that the town felt like an idea of a town that a child had drawn. Especially how weirdly far away everything was from eachother and stuff like the oddly massive bath house and store insides.

I'd argue the most standout design is either Mona or Furina, while for their other game its Kafka without question

theres not a single thing it does better than 4, every system is either a direct copy or a downgrade. combine that with the horrible graphics, the nonsensical town layout, and the mediocre cast and generally uninteresting events and it's hard to recommend. if youre a diehard fan of the series youll probably find something in it that you enjoy, but for someone with just a casual interest just skip it

Basically you don't need to restart the game if you want to marry another person unlike the past games. The game creates a checkpoint that you can come back to and then you can pick another one.
The way it was explained is that you can hop to another dimension like a quasi-NG+ and marry a new girl in that dimension and return to your original one whenever.

All the status, skills, items, and story progress you get from Lover(1) Route is going to get carried to the Non-Lover Route where you can then go for Lover(2), Lover(3), Lover(4), etc etc.
It's basically a quasi NG+ mode and a better save mode because you don't need to do a lot of shit that you would have to do by saving in different slots that would take you back for days, weeks, or even months back.

The funny thing is that is pretty much why the director stated that don't expect to have gender selection for Persona because of the standard they set with P3P, but the thing is when you offer gender selection that should be the level of effort being put in. It's why I don't really care for gender selection all that much in games in general because they really don't do enough to highlight the differences between them. It isn't even all "Who can you fuck anymore" because most games just make all the characters you can romance bisexual and all the romance plot lines are written to be gender neutral or don't make sense because they obviously lean towards one gender over the other.

I’m not really surprised about the perfect dodge since that was in 5. My main issue is whether or not there’s at least some design thought put into attacks. There was no reason to use anything but Gatling Comet for mages and Naive Blade and the 4 or so skills that can actually animation cancel for melee attackers.
