I think the main problem here is that teenagers like to experiment (and it's their right) but HRT and surgeries are not as reversible as the people peer pressuring them make them believe so once they realize there's no going back they end up suiciding. Crossdressers/drag/homosexuals can go back and forth just fine if they feel like it, so letting dumb teenagers change their lives forever is plain vile. It's also revolting because it's common knowledge in their communities that for them to "transition" well, they have to start early so there's an inherent push towards getting them medicated as young as possible.
