See, the thing you gotta understand is that while theres countless parallel universes, each with their own Earth, Mars and UAC, theres only one Hell. They can invade any dimension they want, as long as someone helps or accidentally lets them.

So far Hell has invaded three universes: the one from 1, 2, and 64, the one from 3, and the one from 2016 and Eternal. Doomguy is from universe 1 and eventually ended up in universe 3, while he never visited universe 2 and everything there was handled by a new guy.

The fun part of Doom is that it uses mostly conventional weapons against literal demons.
