I'm not going to say it's a flop, but a $450 last gen powered console with $80-$90 games is going to be a hard sell for a lot of people in the current economy. If it does succeed though, this paves the way for a lot of things becoming more normalized within the industry.

Right on launch day, yeah most retail units were sold out. I was able to walk into a Walmart a couple weeks later and get one. I have no doubts the Switch 2 will sell every single launch day unit (scalpers+the people who will buy everything Nintendo), but after that they'll be sitting on shelves until Christmas.
Switch 2 is available online in UK. The console is over priced, you're better off going to japan and buying it in a few months when they restocked since it's far cheaper

Lots of people don't know this but a lot of the people working for these stores can cancel someone else's preorder and reserve one for themselves. That and they can help family and friends reserve units too, there isn't gonna be shit for upwards of a month or two. Even the original switch was hard as fuck to get on launch.
