Gets incredibly lucky by inheriting Demon's Souls, which becomes a sleeper hit

gets incredibly lucky by inheriting Demon's Souls, which becomes a sleeper hit

just remakes it but bigger and less coherent with Dark Souls

gradually, over time, keeps remaking the same game but worse, and all of the talent that made those earlier games feel so quirky and dynamic disappears as the series becomes streamlined into rollslop

gets a megahit with Elden Ring and immediately sells out, releasing a terrible DLC that takes two years and somehow feels half-finished, a movie, and a cheap spinoff sequel

Is he the single most overrated dev there is?

his newer games aren't worse, they're more successful and they're making money

He looks like he kill his roomate and turn them into soup

I am really fucking mad about this. Everything that made soulsbourne appealing and interesting was thrown out. The vacuum was then filled with fucking trends like battle royal circle bullshit, a grindfest weaponselection and fucking heroe-type avatars. This shit has legitametly no reason to exist, there is nothing artistic or intriguing or whatever. It is just shit. Another frenchise utterly destroyed. Interessted to see what is next tho.

Since when is success a measure of quality? Is Fortnite one of the best games ever made?

they need to make money and they made money, so their projects were successful, they don't give a shit about some abstract measure of "success" that you or I might define

i do have to wonder how much of demons souls was actually miyazaki.

Explain Sekiro and AC6 then. The masterpieces

Demon’s Souls was an abandoned project when he took over. He was able to make something interesting because his higher ups weren’t really invested at that point. The most innovative decisions, like the invasion system, were Miyazaki’s work.
Now he’s kinda stuck making the same game over and over because it’s what the audience wants and expects.

Exactly and their newer games are worse.

These hate threads are pathetic. He didn't even direct the new one.

I agree, their game design took a nosedive right after bloodborne. Most devs are just greedy so when their projects turn popular they look for what people like the most, make it more casual (so that it appeals to more than just the autists) and ramp it up to 11.

they need to make money

why?
they already made billions
why do they NEED to make money

Is that Mark Kern?

Nightreign is proof why they just copied Demon's Souls over and over again - the moment they try something else it all fucking falls apart.

Elden Ring is the best From game and the best game of the 2020s
Nightreign is great, and better than demon souls

I'm pretty sure Miyazaki wanted to stop making Souls games with Bloodborne but DS2 was made without him and DS3 was made against his will, Elden Ring was what he wanted to make to begin with but couldn't due to limitations. Sekiro and AC6 are him making (or at least starting, in the case of AC6) games he actually wants to make.

Oh and I forgot to add that I'm trans, not sure if that matters.

Eat me, tranny faggot. Name what fag trash you like that you think is better than elden ring.

Morrowind.

Dark Souls

muh miyazaki bad because he only makes ""soulslikes""

it's so fucking weird seeing people keep bitching about this

imagine if Romero and Carmac were still making banger FPS games in the style they pioneered and some obnoxious retards would be complaining about them not making games in some random other genres instead, or were claiming that they are hacks for not doing something drastically different

it's especially stupid since Miyazaki's games are plenty different takes on the genre he created. Dark Souls 3 was the only game that was just a straight up sequel, and that was already in development and was greenlighted without him, while Demon's Souls was a failed oblivion-clone before he got free hand with the project.

inheriting Demon's Souls

The project had zero direction, he was basically allowed to turn the game into whatever he wanted. He is the reason why the game is the way it is. The idea that he "inherited" it is ludicrous.

He is the reason why the game is the way it is.

You know some people actually played the King's Field/Shadow Tower games and know that 99% of what people attribute to Miyazaki existed in those games. He basically just made it 3rd person and copied Berserk.

Um darksouls is actually bad

Don't forget he sold his soul to shittendo with dawnblood or whatever the fuck that was called.

Everyone here is a spiritual shareholder these days.

The difference is that miyazaki films are all different creations with a different vibe. There is no course of difference with rollslop from Fromslop games. They just don't do anything unique past the first one. At least the art direction might change from one movie to the next.

just remakes it but bigger and less coherent with Dark Souls

*taps sign*

Neat worldbuilding but dogshit everything else, especially combat. For context, Gothic came out 2 years earlier
Poorly balanced babyshit easy game and of the end game branches of the world, two are mediocre and one is just bad

You've obviously never fucking played them

jewtroon awards

keep seething goy, but it's the truth

Dark and gloomy oh we are so fucked light is dying out in the world.

Yeah and?

no argument

I accept your concession :)

no argument

you know this game started a new genre that's still popular to this day, almost 15 years later?
your impotent seething is delicious

Each one has significantly different gameplay. Also only two of them have "light is dying!" plots, and one of them ends with ", and that's a good thing"

Demon's Souls. Nothing since has reached it's peaks.

Miyazaki doesn't direct the gameplay. Hell he said himself he doesn't even beat the games. He's entirely focused on the atmosphere, lore and world itself, which are always impeccable. Fromsoft is second to none in breathing life into their concept art.
The gameplay is suffering but the entire team's faults cannot be laid entirely on Miyazaki's shoulders.

I swear some of you act like directors build the entire game solo.

stupid weapon upgrading system with bad weapon balance

poise isn't invented yet

half the bosses are gimmicky pushovers

magic is completely busted

healing still uses consumable items because estus wasn't invented yet

started the trend of not having level music for some stupid reason

pvp was worse than bloodborne

Buy a chicken wrap

Bite into it.

Ingredients shit out the bottom all over my lap.

FUCKING MIYAZAKI

The gameplay is suffering

No, it isn't. The only From game since DeS with any degree of gameplay regression was DS3.

They have a giant global fanbase of tens of millions of adoring gamers now. Once something like that happens, Nip companies go into full kike mode and squeeze everything from the IP that they can. Think of Pokemon, Dragonball, One Piece, etc.

Pokemon - the most successful multimedia franchise in history. The games are atrocious slop made on a shoestring budget.

Dragonball - one of the biggest anime/manga franchises ever, responsible for putting anime on the map in the west. The animation quality of Dragonball Super was so fucking bad that they had to apologize and go back to fix some of their most egregious issues

This is happening to FROM and Souls now, whether you like it or not.

Demon's souls and dark souls 1 are considered the best for a reason. Enemies and bosses had sensible damage numbers based on how readable their attacks were and how fast or slow they came out. Later games did away with this, considerably buffing boss speed and reducing reactability while keeping the damage absurdly high. A better game developer would have reduce boss damage to make up for how difficult they are to learn now.
Instead they just put a checkpoint outside the boss room and you're expected to die a bunch of times to learn them instead of being patient and attentive in the fight and being able it overcome it like that.

Nightreign is better than your favorite game

miyazaki wasn't in charge of nightreign you dumb fuck retard bitch

Games Miyazaki actually wanted to make

Demon’s Souls
Dark Souls
Bloodborne
Sekiro
Elden Ring

With the exception of Elden Ring these are all amazing games. Elden Ring is at least better than the shitty Dark Souls sequels.

its not like he is the president of the company right

Blaming japanese companies only like the west doesn't do this tenfold after a single success.

wojak poster

lol

Being the president of a company means you make all the games by yourself.

dude uhhhh kings field am I right???

Tranny poser, KF was a dogshit DRPG with next to nothing transferring over to the Souls series. The only people who care about KF are posers who saw a gay video essay on it and think if they say its a good/their favorite game that people will think they are so refined and cultured.

There's a reason why dark souls 2 and 3 were about endlessly repeating cycles leading to a world rotting and falling apart.

Demon's souls and dark souls 1 are considered the best for a reason

Considered the best by retarded zoomers like you who confuse nostalgia for quality.

Enemies and bosses had sensible damage numbers

You being a fucking retard at building your character doesn't make elden ring's damage numbers unreasonable. On my first run by the end of the game I was fucking walzing through the game, not even dying to any boss from at least the fire giant until finally Radagon forced me to actually get good instead of just beating people to death with my big sword before they could kill me.

Later games did away with this, considerably buffing boss speed and reducing reactability

Of course they did. DaS and DeS are babyshit easy.

Instead they just put a checkpoint outside the boss room

Nobody ever liked runbacks

Elden Ring is the best From game and DS2 is the best souls game

Immediately attacking people with mindless accusations doesn't make you look smart.

sip n shrug.gif - 220x177, 101.19K

He also made Armored Core 4 and For Answer

>Later games did away with this, considerably buffing boss speed and reducing reactability

Of course they did. DaS and DeS are babyshit easy.

>Instead they just put a checkpoint outside the boss room

Nobody ever liked runbacks

Were they hard enough to make the runbacks an issue, or were they babyshit easy? Make up your mind.

Nothing I say could be more insulting to you than your own admission that your HRT dulled reflexes are just too slow to engage with elden ring's combat

He's right, thoughever...

Is he the single most overrated dev there is?

Yes but it will take most people 10+ years to realize it.

anon, games like dark souls, sekiro or bloodborne are about as different from each other as hayao miyazaki films are while still retaining certain key themes

the only similar Miyazaki games were dark souls being a more refined version on demon's souls formula and elden ring being an open world iteration of it

The only thing that I agree with you was that elden ring's setting's themes were a bit too similar to dark souls', but I assume it has more to do with the fact that they had to work together with GRR Martin, who himself likely tried to make material based on what was given to him from From's previous games.

Runbacks weren't an issue because of boss difficulty, they were an issue because they were pointless tedium.

Were they hard enough to make the runbacks an issue

Thats incredibly dishonest of you because you know people just sprinted past shit, which the games had literaly no answer for, the only exception being hilariously das2, because its the only game that has a big fucking delay on the fogwall invincibility.

You should know people didnt like boss runbacks because they were long and boring.

The chink monkey game

It would only be pointless tedium if you died to the boss, meaning they clearly weren't babyshit easy.
Maybe you should be more consistent in your arguments instead of defaulting to taking the opposite stance to whatever makes your brain produce the bad chemicals you lizard brained creature.

They were that easy, games just sucked ass in 2010.

Im not the same guy, im just saying you should stop being dishonest, you know most bosses were easy, the exception didnt make the rule, but on the rare occasion of boss death, runbacks were never fun because all you did was sprint past shit.

Excuse me, gamers just sucked in 2010

NO THEY WERE EASY I UM I ERR UHH

just face it, they're difficult until you learn them inside and out and THEN they become easy. It's called mastering a game, and insisting that you forgot your difficulties with it to begin with just makes you look retarded. It doesn't say anything good about you.

you know most bosses were easy

I died more to Artorias than I did to any boss in Elden Ring.

Taurus Demon was the only truly challenging fight for newbies when it came to bosses but even that can be cheesed with a player knowledge trick, which means its a shitty design.

You are just retarded and From is a worse company for having listened to players like you desu.

I died quite a bit too Arty too, but outside of him and Manus which both reach double digits, none of the other bosses took more than 3 tries, yes, even O&S. They were easy, and you being better both at From games and at vidya in general doesnt change that fact.

than I did to any boss in Elden Ring.

Did you spirit summon for Malenia?

No, they really are that easy. To the point of being completely trivial. This is obvious by the fact that later game bosses in elden ring still require some effort even if you've played it a lot, while DS1's major bosses are total pushovers once you're not brand new to souls games

NOO DESIGNER-SAMA I NEED EASY FIGHTS I NEED TO BE ABLE TO BEAT WITHOUT HAVING TO ACTUALLY FIGHT THE ENEMIES. NOO LET ME HAVE A WAY TO MAKE THE ENEMY KILL ITSELF NOOO! DESIGNER-SAMAAAAA!!!

Even spirit summoning against Malenia doesn't make the fight easy, he's just full of shit. Even professional dark souls challenge runners shit their pants at Malenia, especially when they realized there was a phase 2.

I personally would just be happy if he kept making Dark souls 1 or bloodborne with different settings. Heck even with Elden ring the early-mid game exploration is the best part of the game before it devolves into rehashes and 'omfg look at this anime bullshit boss. How cool will it look on XYZfag's youtube channel????' so if they could grab that part and use it again Id be happy.

Or better yet, fucking make Sekiro 2 already with the Journey to West crap even if itll just be buddhism with a different colour this time.

You've never played Elden Ring or Sekiro. You are a shitposting tranny retard.

Believe it or not, difficulty does not make something good.

Stay mad, ER is the greatest game ever made

Capra Demon?

First post in the thread

Schizo immediately goes off one because I think Dark Souls is better than Elden Ring

Faggot is too fast to shitpost he doesnt even realise I like Sekiro which despite it being new

KYS

he's pretty simple to be honest, you just have to dodge a lot. The dual-bosses would be mid-difficult for anyone in the series though due to how time-consuming they usually become.

I find it funny how many ways there are to hate fromsoft

absolute haters claim all games are the same

oldest nostalgia fans claim THEY CHANGED TOO MUCH and das and des were the best (some even hate das like op) and want all games to be slow

fans of specific titles hate that other games arent ENOUGH like their favorite title (das, bb and sekiro fit here) and should all be COPIES but with different setting skins

Its really crazy how everyone has a problem with From with different reasons, guess thats what happens when you get big like them.

Its no different than hating on a specific Square/Enix game series but liking the other.

You're so up your own ass.

First post in the thread

You're a LYING shitposting tranny retard

No Id rather rather they make new games good than just copy their old games. However Id rather rehashed things with different colours than bad practices being done. I thought they were doign bad stuff with Dark Souls 2, then Bloodborne came out. Then bad stuff again with Dark souls 3 (this one actually being more than 10% redeemable than DS2) only to follow it up with somethign great with Sekiro. That isnt being a nostalgiafag, thats liking good aspects whilst deriding bad practices. I even like elden Ring until it gets to the bossfights that just designed to be annoying to get free marketting and tryign too hard to be epic. The late game of Elden ring is a fucking dire slog and the dlc is even worse for that. And yet its sold well so the bad practices will be repeated. I dont hate From, not yet anyway. But they can easily end up like any other company that gets complacent or follows bad trends even if theyre the ones creating them. I want them to make good games, not shit ones.

The game being pretty hard is better than being too easy

My first post you stupid ESL cunt. The fact you cant tell that I meant that is telling.

It depends on how its hard. If its a genuine test of skill then fair, if its just numbly forcing certain builds, being obnoxious (basically the last 3rd and all of the DLC for ER), or being a stat check then it can fuck off.

being obnoxious (basically the last 3rd and all of the DLC for ER)

define obnoxious

Gay

As someone who could dodge most delayed attacks the first time i encountered them just based on reflexes, yeah i agree. the later part of ER felt way more trial and error. The first part I felt like when i died it was because i was being greedy, in the later parts it was more like i was being surprised a move had an AOE portion. One of the most egregious examples being the ground AoE from the death bird that kills you in half a second if you happen to be standing the wrong spot which you wont know about until after it happens.

Thats not to say there were no trial and error tier attacks in the early part (watch dog delayed sword slam) but they were more rare and usually didnt 1 shot you.

Retarded coping cunt

Stuff like Radahn in the dlc where the game throws out most of the mechanics and turns it into a game where you have to dodge 9 million attacks to only get time to do one attack back. Some fag will comment 'erm akhually you need to do xyz' which misses the point. It doesnt feel like the same game compared to earlier and it feels like its there purely to be visual. Sure you can cheese the boss but that just ends up ruining the point and its not fun. in the dlc I didnt feel any satisfaction of beating the boss besides thank fuck I can move on. Horah Loux spammign aoes endlessly where you have to do certain actions rather than have 'your turn' last a reasonable time isnt fun. Radagon is also crap, Elden Beast is mid. Malikith just anime backflips everywhere. Thsi is also where the game forces every build that isnt trying to be a speedrunner pro to have super high vigor and no matter how much you level it you still mostly die in 2-3 hits rather than 3-5. It makes the stat also feel redudant much like ADP in DS2. Madir in DS3 is another example but thats mostly the health pool being stupid where youre better off cheesing with mist etc. From has gradually made the difficulty being more simon says or patience tests than a rewarding back and forth. They can still easily do this as theyve done with Sekiro where even afetr gettign good at the game I liekd the Demon of Hatred. And with AC6 even if you can cheese it with needle launchers.

You are bad and retarded. There are no "turns," and there never were. You are supposed to hit the boss while they are doing stuff, not when they go into a designated "HIT ME" recovery animation. Shield works great against Consort Radahn too.

This is what made me think the game was a mid fromsoft game by the end as it soured the experience on top of the burnout from it feelign too long (the dead part of the game is at the end which doesnt alleviate this). vs most of the late game bosses it wasnt any test of skill it was 'oh lets see what flavour of cheese is needed' or as you said somethign having stupid AoEs for no reason. I wouldnt mind as much if it wasnt basically a death sentence and forced to heal after every hit (as suvriving one fucks you for the multihit ones). Its just not fun, theres no recovery or back and forth. I didnt even bother with Radahn in the dlc after a while as it just felt crap to even try without resorting to some bullshit or spending ages for no gain. I legit went back and did the other 2.5 playthroughs of Sekiro I needed for 100% completion and got more enjoyment out what would be the same amount fo time spent. And that was including Father Owl being the first enemy I had to fight upon returning after ~ 5 years.

Yes so to hit the boss whilst theyre doign stuff I have to dodge an attack and hit durign an opening. Oh wait. Thats what a turn means in this context and what its meant in every other game. Instead of that I could block. Oh sorry you need to level endurance past even a meme level as 1 block even with a high stability shield takes 3 hits (the boss does 5+ in one combo regularly). Youre forced into cheese builds like the finger shield, abusing the perfumes until they were patched, or spammign bleed and rot. Playign mage against him and other late game bosses isnt rewarding. I know how to beat him, I have done it with cheese. Its not the same thing as actually beating it and enjoying the game as its gettign to the point the bosses ignore half the mechanics of the game to be tediously harder meanign you cant take enjoyment from those aspects fo the game. I shouldnt have to put levels into vigor beyond a reasonable amount to have a normal chance. The spectrum of piss easy was the issue before with agmes and From offered a fair challenge where its hard but still worth actually trying its fun. Theyre gradually salami-slicing their way to the other extreme where its not really fun without having to spend an above fair amount of time using other strategies, weapon, builds etc. Theyve made the investment not worth it for the enjoyment. I didnt enjoy the dlc outside of the exploration. Malenia is on the border and she's perfectly fine.

NO NO NO ITS NOT MY TURN ITS NOT MY TURN

You just hit them. Be more aggressive and actually take initiative. You don't need high end, just stop panic rolling and spazzing out every time you see the boss move.

Actually, you only have to dodge 4 times per R1 on Consort Radahn.

panic rolling

The Fromdrone's favorite euphemism for reacting to attack animations as if they were designed with craft and care, how a good developer would design them, instead of waiting for the inevitable, immersion shattering delay that defies all physics just to catch the player out.

The low IQ trick that Miyazaki loves so much, he has crammed multiple games full of it because it's "hard".

Anon I know and Ive done that shit. My point is that its no longer fun or engaging and fucks builds that cant really do that like magic who have to resort to retarded buff stacking overload shit. Your disagrement right now is based on 'you dont know how to play the game, you beat X boss this way' which just ignores the fact that the game becoming that to such an extreme degree is what I and many others (mostly DS and DeS oldfags) dont like and dont want repeated even though it most certainly will as its already been gradually going that way for a while. I was the type of person that didnt take initiative I wouldnt of went and 100%'d Sekiro before coming back to cheese the dlc's last boss. Isnt it telling that lots of people feel like they would rather, not necessarily need to but would rather spend time resortign to that than actually playing the game? Thats indicative of shit game design. Even with my shitty mid weight mixed weapon build I beat Allmind and the other 'hard' bosses in AC6 as it felt fun to try. This was the same for DeS, DS1, some of DS2, most of DS3, basically all of Sekiro and most of BB. With Elden Ring it fails and takes the bad aspects of the other games and uses that as a design goal for the last 3rd and basically all of the DLC. Its not fun or engaging.

wahhhh wwaaaaaaa

You are panic rolling. You can dress it up with retarded inaccurate excuses like

dude dude the boss like uhhh fucking shoots his arm forward at a gazillion miles a second and its like super delayed but also super fast and and its unpredictable and also unreactable and and and-

and the attack/animation in question will be something that is completely reasonable, learnable, and/or predictable/reactable. You see the boss windup an attack, and instead of waiting until the boss's arm/weapon actually releases, you spazz out and roll. Use your eyes ffs

Thats already annoying given theres a 50% chance I then have to run across the arena as I cant hit him. Except DLC dickriders will excuse it despite everyone and their nan bitching about it with the Elden Beast. I may as well not be doing anything which just makes it more boring causing me to fall for the shit this anon describes for the first few times.

No youre just ignoring his point. Instead of learning how the games physics work and developing a muscle memory based on that and visual indicators like in past games, every boss has the attack go slow for varying amount between them before suddenly becoming 200%+ quicker with no real reason beyond 'its a boss, he can do anime bullshit'. The game is makign you learn the boss's physics rather than rewardign you learnign how the game actually works. Even if youre aware of this shit design it becomes annoying as you have to override any actual normal reaction to getting hit. This is why parrying boss attacks has fallen off outside of people who learn a particular boss to make videos for it.

You arent actually replying with any actual design reason to support your reasonign on why its good and are just spammign 'you are shit' when people have said theyve beaten it evidentally using the stuff youre mentioning whilst also thinking its not as fun.

His ideas for DeS were legitimately cool though

All of them removed for DS3 and every game going forward

Why

I beat Midir today again after a year with a completly different build, wasn't nearly as painful as you think. Just hit his fucking head and understand when to disengage.
Also made me truly understand that he's got nothing in common with ER dragons of any kind in terms of actual animations (obviously the gameplan is the same, that being hit the head).

NNNOOOOO DON'T BUILD A CHARACTER USING LOGICAL THOUGHT THAT'S CHEESING REEEEE

The bosses in past games arent anywhere near as hard now but I cant tell if thats due to a skill increase or a bullshit tolerance/expectance growing over the years.

Has it not occured to you that the issue is the range of viable builds is far narrower vs previous games and that such builds arent often the actual fun ones people want to use. I dont mind using an objectively worse build wherein the game is harder so long as its fun and doable without it turning into a challenge run or pure tedium. Again youre replying like a faggot with no actual argument and just taking any one small point in either bad faith or strawmanning it rather than actually making any point on why the game isnt just boring. Youve yet to explain whats actually fun about the mechancis youre defending.

inheriting Demon's Souls

new fake narrative just dropped

I don't have bad reflexes, I'm just reacting to how the attack should be in my head

midwits are genuinely a plague on humanity

are you implying Elden Ring is perfect?

At this point I think of Fromsoft games as an acquired taste with its own fanbase. They're not for everyone, and you could even argue they're not particularly good at anything save art style, but its fanbase justifies the games.

I don't expect quality from these games. I expect a product with precise specifications for a certain kind of people, kind of like that fuck ugly Tesla truck.

He could've continued making dark souls but he literally explained why he wouldn't in a DLC

the range of viable builds is far narrower vs previous games

Wrong

I dont mind using an objectively worse build wherein the game is harder so long as its fun and doable without it turning into a challenge run or pure tedium

Then Elden Ring is the right game for you

He's entirely focused on the atmosphere, lore and world itself, which are always impeccable

Lore

Impeccable

Sure. Let's add half the game's lore into cryptic item descriptions and have the players bash those bits of info together to create a somewhat logical story.

There's some undeniably cool stuff in these games, but the lore is just an afterthought.

For certain bosses it is. This is also true when you account the amount of possible builds builds overall being far greater than before, but proportionally the good ones are a smaller percentage without becoming god tier at the game or avoiding boring tedium. Again for the whateverth time time now you just pick one aspect of a post you have a shit answer to throw out. If you have no interest in providing a good reason then either leave or at least make your shitposting amusing.

Not past a certain point or when I have to flip builds for the dlc. Its not enjoyable for Radahn especially for even more builds wherein the viable AND fun ones are more narrow. Even with such a viable build the mechancis of the bosses still suck dick and arent rewarding or fun to fight.

no no no the boss goes 200% faster and and-

You are literally doing the "durr it like uh goes a gazillion miles a second and I can't react to it or learn it and and and-" shit. Post webms of these animations that fall into this criteria.

you aren't replying with any actual design reason

Because your post and issue is not based in reality. Don't worry! I went through the same thing. When I first fought Orphan of Kos and Malenia, I was in the same boat as you.

that attack is bullshit and so fast

how was I supposed to dodge that

Then I used my eyes and actually looked at their animations. Suddenly, the attacks and movements weren't incomprehensible.

he saved my interest in video games again

No you can react to it, just its annoyign af when it occurs when youre locked in an animation. Even when you learn it its annoying as the atatck essentially becomes somethign seperate from the physics of the world. Why is that attack's inertia so fucked up? It just feels wrong and its delioberately gamey and stands out. I can play around it easily 99% fo the time but its still obnoxious and tellign of when From is phoning it in or trying to make the boss harder without any skill for doign so.

Your post isnt based in reality

But it is, I see shit game mechancis that are there as a way to make the game harder but not actually more intresting or fun to fight at the same time. Theyre there and stand out as either: ways to make the game look more visually impressive and 'cinematic', or to add difficulty that woudlnt really work with the game's physics to try and make the game take longer.

Strawman

Youre missing the point again. IVE ALREADY LEARNT HOW TO FUCKGIN DODGE IT YOU STUPID CUNT. I can and have learnt how to play around it. My and other people's issues with it is that its stupid and no longer immersive or fun. When playign Elden Ring I instinctively expect the attack to be some stupid delay shit and thus time the dodges to account for this until I know what the attacks are after fighting the enemy for the first time (often during that fight). It still feels stupid and there for when they couldnt intelligently make the enemy actually difficult/engaging to fight. Your entire argument is 'you cant play the game' when thats both not true and besides the fucking point.

rollslop

go back to discord, you forgot your dick

Radhan is a shit boss but any build in Elden Ring is viable, they aren't obviously all going to be the same, but the game gives you many ancient smithing stones to change equipment while maintaining your stats, which are what matters most in a buld.
The DLC is great in spite of the bad final boss, not bad because of it.

Even the dancing lion feels obnoxious just in a different manner which is sad as the idea and music for it are great. Its not Radahn tier but the writhign mass with weird hitboxes, the attacks that may as well do percentage damage above a a certain vigor level as it never changes. Most of ER's late game bosses suffer from similar annoying issue and msot of the main dlc bosses suffer from it as well. Radahn is just the perfect example as its the peak of such bullshit which just shits on any enjoyment I had from the dlc. I want the game to be fun again wherein you have the same level and type of bullshit as the bosses the game ratehr than playing vs half baked DMC test builds with Dark Souls jump button edition with an expanded weapon/spell catalogue.

why is the inertia so fucked up?

It's not, doe. Again. Webms, webms, webms. Post em.

If you got annoyed by the greatness that is Dancing Lion, then literally the only contructive criticism i can give you is "git gud".

Reminder that he initially directed DS2 before he was 'removed'. This is something that he admitted in an interview.
This DS2 build were later completely scrapped and redone via a different directors.

So B-team DID completely fuck up DS2. Wow. Thank God he came back to make the real DS2 (DS3, an actual sequel)

Why is Miyazaki being brought up, he isn't even involved with Nightreign.

Its on the lower end of bullshit but I was already sick of the end game bosses crap so my tolerance was probably far lower. The dlc is great for all the mini bosses, exploration, and 'legacy dungeons'.
The base game has several enemies that hold an attack at an angle wherein the strike has already started. Rather than the attack naturally following where it would be it will arbitrarily slow down to delay the hit. Thus making people who havnt learnt that its some shit attempt at From making a feint (Which is a different thing) get caught out when they roll before the attack suddenly either resumes its normal speed or it speeds up as if the game speed has increased to compensate as if the delay was a glitch. This happens regularly enough to be shitposting topic in Elden Ring threads and was in most memes on the game's and its DLC's releases. I shoudnt have to provide a webm for something thats common knowledge. Look at Morgot (both versions), Radahn empowered, Messmer (his mainly being jump attack related), and various other examples I cant recall offhand but know exist from playing the game and talkign about it with other people on this basket weaving forum. Moreso the game isnt fun anymore, and youve yet to explain why its still fun.
