Absolutely no, you must first learn how to use the currents decks (not necessarily meta) to make an attempt in ranked, I usually see decklists here masterduelmeta.com/top-decks

Is Rizzle and MaPiss meta better or worse than what we have now? I just got back and have negative levels of motivation to continue. This meta is so shit. You can spend half or your starting hand stopping a combo only for the opponent to end with a 80% of their best end board. If you use board breakers they can either recur to protect themselves.

Maliss and Ryzeal are powercreep in the sense their endboard is layered. It's impossible to hurt them with traditional breakers since they can quick effect summon from the GY or set from the deck and activate on a new chain. Handtraps are effective only so much as they're the least-worst option. If you struggle with the tempo of Vanquish Soul, you probably get blown out by those two.
Ryzeal can run more handtraps than Maliss at the cost of unique weakness to Ultimate Slayer. Maliss has the more powerful endboard and is literally unbreakable. Traditional GY and permanent removal is also shit against it since it interacts with both GY and banishment like a Chaos deck would.
Snake-Eyes has a layered endboard too but is still very much a traditional combo deck with its plays. Ryzeal and Maliss are the next gen of that.

Remember when the game first came out and matchmaking was full of Duel Links retards thinking their staples were still good in Master Duel? Good times.

On one hand, I like Branded cause it's the one deck with enough support that it doesn't need a slop engine. It can use a slop engine if it goes 60 cards, but unless you're a chink that pays for pick your hand, you're just bricking yourself.
On the other, Branded players are shitters cause they they're the only deck that runs 3x Super Poly and that card is retarded.

Hey, it doesn't lose to EVERY hand trap. You can usually give them a monster to turn off Imperm, and Ash usually is wasted on Palace, or you can go into Golden Allure before committing to your combo which people always use a hand trap on.
The cards are pretty damn strong though. It's crazy that Golden Allure has no once per turn and can revive other copies of itself.
But 3 great cards aren't enough to make a reliable deck.

It's a trap trick that can search one-ofs and doesn't floodgate you for the rest of the turn with the only tradeoff being that you need to use 2 other traps before its search is live. And Lab already likes to throw out their Welcomes early in the turn.
