I decided i wanted to give back to the hobby that has given me so much joy and amazing memories so I have been writing the back story, lore, world building, story, characters, etc etc for a very detailed science fiction mecha war epic game that hopefully i can help other people to make with me one day once i finish all of the writing and share it with them. The goal is to make it as cool and interesting as possible so that people WOULD want to work on this passion project. I know its a pipe dream, but for the first time in my life I am actually being creative and its a lot of fun. Even if it turns out that the game never materializes I will have no regrets. I think having a creative outlet of some kind is probably good for everyone.

i did. i loved rogue trader, but i dont consider it to be good science fiction. its a good game that happens to be... sort of sci but idk maybe im too much of a purist but any setting with magic stops being sci fi to my mind. again, i do love rogue trader and 40k as a whole, but its more space fantasy with science elements like star wars.

i know what you mean, i dont see why it has to be one or the other. Why cant have games that are both narrative and mechanically deep? Good gameplay and a good story? There is no good reason. You assume it cant be done because in the past we mostly seem to get one or the other. But i know that people would enjoy a game that offers both. So thats what i hope to achieve. im working on the story first but im writing it to be completely intertwined with the game and the gameplay in mind.
