And then you have the TCG. The Pokemon TCG is the most profitable card game on the whole damn planet. You could take the next two most profitable, Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh, and combine their profits for the year, and they don't come close to Pokemon.

Because unlike other TCGs where people purchase the cards because they like the game or they like the property it's based on, the pandemic had a lot of bored people flocking to Pokemon after they saw a few internet celebrity retards sell grade 10 cards from the 90's for a gorillian god damn dollars, and now everybody else wants a piece of the action.
Name any other TCG where the overwhelming majority of the people purchasing it don't actually know how to play the game and have no interest in ever doing so.
