I feel like I got baited hard. I finished the demo and wasn't impressed by the game like I was with other parryslop, think sekiro or lies of P. It reminded me of Nier Automata and in a very bad way, especially the long unskippable dialogue or even cutscenes. Eve is a delight to look at but I play games to actually play games not for cinematic experiences. Stellar blade really is like automata, a fake action game hyped up to high heaven

It plays slightly better than Nier automata but everything else in stellar blade is the same kind of slop that shouldn't be in action games. Useless rpg mechanics and skill tree (which was also an issue in lies of P), pointless filler and waste of time in various areas of the game: the yellow paint platforming segments, the "puzzles", the animations when sitting on the chair and many of those little things that add up. There's also the busted and easily abusable dodge mechanic. I approached both games the same way: mash buttons and spam the perfect dodge for common enemies. The demo boss was piss easy to fight with this method but at least the challenge one you unlock after beating it killed me once and for actually not parrying, but I still was able to cheese it abusing the perfect blue dodge that triggers a cutscene.

Not being able to skip any cutscene before finishing the demo was the biggest crime. I shan't be playing this game. I'll only look at eve pictures and be done with it just like I was with troon automata and 2B. Seriously fuck this shit game I fucking hate JRPGs and fake action games

Boss challenge after the story demo was fun. Slapping on the attack speed buff makes the combat so much better.

Mix of a soulslike and a hack and slash game. Heavy on parries and timed dodges. You have combos and air attacks but the latter isnt really needed. You have 4 active skills that recharge as you hit enemies or parry attacks. Hitting enemies with these skills or perfect parrying them reduces their posture and when it gets depleted you can perform finishers on them. Also has QTEs like a ps3 action game.

Only actual problem with the Mikiri Counter blue dodge is that they light up your sword blue to tell you the timing to do it.

If you spam perfect dodge on any boss that is past the very early game you will lose, mid to end game bosses get gigga tankie and have multiple moves that require perfect parrys with unconditional one one shots. Perfect dodge provides almost sub 0 iframes, in Automata perfect dodge provies an insane amout of iframes. Eves parry is a 14 frame window, Sekiros parry is a 12 frame window, spamming in either game increases recovery frames making parry spam also not possible. Teleport is not spammable either as bosses do not spam the available window enough to be worthwhile. You literally cant play this game like Nier Automata and you cannot iframe to win, I lose braincells replying to retard posts like this, be grateful.

the boss mode fight has a regular attack that he does with multiple hits and he will hit you if you dodge toward him at the beginning of the attack. hell he closed the gap several times with the rest of the hits even when I dodged away from him.
that fight alone made it painfully obvious that spamming regular dodges will not save you for every regular attack

Specs - GTX 1660 6GB, I5-9400F, 24gbs of ram, SSD

A few other questions, what exactly is the difference between fast TAA and regular TAA? I cant see a visual difference but fast TAA seems to give a small performance.
Secondly for graphics the first option I personally prefer even though its less fps because medium textures look bad while high textures look decent desu and 50-60 depending on the area is pretty fine however I don't play action games often so I wanted other anons input on if this framerate is okay. Third question is the hair AA just shitty no matter what? For some reason eves bob cut looks pretty good AA wise in the boss challenge but her normal hair has trashy AA. Lastly why does the vram bar say I'm way over 6GB for example the first example I gave puts me at 8.3GB's of vram used over my 6 total yet its perfectly stable? I appreciate any advice/answers.
