On the other hand the success of the switch is good enough reason to push these devs to put in the work though and with the increased power it shouldn’t be as hard as with the switch, but time will tell

The tegra X1 was used in the nvidia shield "console" at least a year before the switch released. This new SoC has a foundation based off of hardware used for cars such as tesla but it's more standalone. So far nobody has found any genuine documentation of the switch 2's hardware which makes possible emulation and hacking much harder.
