Who does this appeal to?
Who does this appeal to?
nobody
What's with the current trend where the game looks like it has a modded fan-made "HQ" texture pack except everything is burry? Why not have a distinct style?
Henry, Ken and Mark, apparently.
Retarded Tendies
The Disabled Nintendies, obviously.
I'm surprised they didn't make this sooner.
There was one wheelchair bound woman on twitter that was happy, that's about it.
Some are just fat and ugly. Not all are wheelchair disabled
Blind people with no legs
If they wanted a demo so bad for this groundbreaking technically called "mouse" why not make a Mario Paint/Flipnote app for the kids?
I can't think of a worse control scheme than double mouse for movement gyroscope remote for basketball actions at the same time.
they did that with ARMS and it didn't go well
It us not meant to appeal. The idea was we have 2 mice and how do we use them. There were 5 better ideas than this one but the guy up top saw wheelchair and instantly realized it is free DEI money.
the same fags that want wheelchairs in D&D
devs desperately trying to come up with a game idea that uses two mice
That's a unique concept though, but I would rather use PC mice, not shitty tiny babby hand mine.
Probably nobody. It's most likely a desperate attempt at a game that uses the fraudcons so they can have an excuse to keep them
this is the ugliest nintendo game ever
theres like no artstyle on it
big ass empty arena and barely any color, they shoulda do better to showcase switch 2 power considering its an launch title
what were they thinking
I wanna see more experiments come from this though, like a ghetto HOSAS setup for space flight sims or mech games. the way you hold the joycons look really uncomfortable for mouse-like control though
Johnny Five, Wall-E, those sort of robots
It's basically a tech demo game, and to show two independent mouse-like controller it's pretty good because that's how you control wheelchairs.
The other one could be tank controls, like you pull left mouse to you and push the right one away and you start turning on spot.
It appeals to nintendo fans
many of who are wheelchair-bound
PC gaming would be better at such a concept though.
It'll flop like arms
it looks fun to me but not something I would pay for in and of itself, but would make a good wii sport, minigame, sidemode in something else etc
arms 2
This, pretty much. If it’s ten bucks or cheaper I would probably buy it.
Me if it was a girl in a wheelchair
LEGS
true, but until OSs(see: Windows) can support dual mouse input with individual cursor control for each, this is the best we got now. Plus PC Gaming has actual sticks, although if the dual mouse cursor control gets worked out then that's a cheap ghetto alternative.
Should've used cute cripple girls instead desu.
Dude user programs can grab multi mouse since forever
You don't have to go through the generic mouse pointer for everything
cool, name 5 games that do that right now that isn't indie trash tech demos to show off that they could do it. until it's mainstream it means absolutely nothing, the fact I have to download a 3rd party app in the first place shows that it's not a common thing.
Game has hackers
RETARD LEAGUE
I wish it was a bit more exciting and a big more rocket-league-y.
I can't hate the concept, and I would like to see wheelchair sports get a cool treatment because they are cool! Everyone laughed at that runner girl smacking another girl on a head as she's winning, but that's like, super common with disabled sports. You get some real whacky-racers type shit go on, esp in bball or the faster racing where you can get big wipeouts of chairs clanging.
Wheelchair fencing also get custom chairs that rotate/leanback and do cool things on. Unironically would be cool to control your slashes with the mouse like old PC games but have to wheel and balance yourself. Wheelchair wiisports would be cool, please believe me.
Every multiplayer trackball game emulated by MAME :)
MAME Emulator
you mean the thing Billy Mitchell cheated with, wow
enemy can start fires with his mind
can't take stab damage unless noticed
man this class is OP
The fucking karens who created PEGI rating and the like. And some nazis at VISA/Mastercard. No they won't play it, they just want to feed you this slop.
Whatever happened to the sports series bro?
at least arms had style, this is as bland as you can get. There is no soul. It's just a tech demo someone might try for 10 minutes before dropping it forever.
that'll be $80 plus tip
tip? who are you tipping?
Nintendo Developers
just like arms that's the switch's gimmick game
he's also a lock in for smash
Hope to see new 3D Mario, new DKC, New 2D Metroid or teases of new Zelda
Get wheelchair basketball with horribly gimmicky mouse controls
game has optional handicap
I love the idea. I’m open to dual mice as a control scheme, and some quarter pipes spread around the environment reminds me of Tony Hawk. Honestly, it was one of the highlights for me. It’s a really fresh idea.
Young japanese are so poor nowadays they accept tips. The service level will fall down and product quality will follow 100%. Japan is over. You can resent greedy banks and big corporations, they stole all the money from all over the world.
We built the robots crippled, as a joke.
Tendies that pretended to like arms who will gladly swallow this up
People who never used a mouse before so 90% of tendo audience
there are Anon Babbleirgins who actually believe this is a DEI game and not something the devs thought was funny
I enjoyed arm's demo, but it's too ugly to play. I'd rather just do fitness boxing.
Crippleball is cool anyway, it's the coolest of the cripple games. Might actually be cooler than normal basketball. REAL is a great manga too
it was more likely, "Make a game using the mouse function of the joycons, but both have to be used." This is like the most obvious use-case outside of faking joysticks with the gyros
why not ask blizzard for starcraft remastered
nintendo users
I thought the coolest proof of concept they showed during the entire direct was that example of how you can use the gyroscope to rotate stuff that you drag around with the mouse.
I’m very curious to see what people are going to do with that, but it’s probably going to get as much use as the IR camera on the old joycons.
Tendies bought Arms so they'll buy this too
FUCK OFF MY BOARD MY BOARD
just make a katamari game
if they put super mario in those wheelchairs, toddlers would be eating it up
use the gyroscope to rotate stuff that you drag around with the mouse
You could just use normal mouse controls for that. Hold RMB and move mouse for rotation, done. Less annoying to use too. Pretty sure I played flash games with that control scheme
your story about your crippled child touched me
i don't know anything about video games, last time i played a video game it was all squares and boops
but i'm going to give you double what you asked for and get you a deal with nintendo
The concept itself is a little bit iffy, but what kills it is the complete lack of charm and personality.
Arms had a iffy concept, but it was full of charm and personality.
ARMS sold over 2 million copies. No way it flopped.
I can't see Drag-x-Drive breaking half a million unless they do something to really spice it up.
it isn't going to be common on switch either
They could re-release podracer.
But you can do it without having to dedicate a button to rotating stuff on these. I think that’s neat.
Wheelchair wiisports would be cool, please believe me.
yeah i agree, more sports with relatively similar control schemes would be far better. this game feels smaller in scope than that metroid soccer game that was on 3ds
people in wheelchairs
retard league
But now you have to rotate the mouse. It's not comfortable to rotate the mouse, it's a mouse
No one
I thought it looks alright. The quarter pipe slam dunk stuff was cool.
Just make a fucking new duck hunt game where you mimic the movements of shooting a hunting rifle, that would be fucking dope man...
Spinning the mouse on your desk like turning the dial on a safe isn't uncomfortable.
if this game was made 20 years ago (yes... 20 years ago is now 2005...), the developers would of made them into robots instead of people in fucking wheelchairs, no matter how """""cool""""" you make them. the robot would be representative of both disabled and abled people. Idk how people not even 20 years ago and back KNEW this shit just casually... it's like all fucking common sense has gone out the window with the mass majority of stupid ass normies. it's gotten lower even thought it was always low.
I kinda see the vision, but I think it'd be a lot more fun to just ride around and try to do tricks in the skate park. Trying to play basketball with this control scheme looked really clumsy during Treehouse Live. But maybe it'll find SOME landing if it's only gonna be 20-40 dollars. If it's 70-80, that shit's dead on arrival.
Also, the dudes would be a lot cooler if they didn't have legs in a chair and were just a torso on a set of wheels.
NO YOU CANT HURT ANIMALS THEY ARE BETTER THAN PEOPLE T_____T
HERE THIS IS ANOTHER SHIT GAME WHERE YOU CAN PET DOGGERINOS
why is it so bleak? It should be more colorful. Sure, its based on cripled people, but that doesnt mean everyone has to be sad
Don't VR games already do something like this?
What other ways could this control scheme be put to use?
rock climbing
katamari pushing
jigsaw puzzles
dial turning
arcade shooting a la Forgotten Worlds or Smash TV
pod racing
VR
not just a series of tech demo games
okay
it shoots sleeping bullets which make duckies sleepy :)
It looks that it will fuck your joycons pretty quickly, I wont drag around those things, they get fucked by normal gaming
all parents are going to buy a shitch poo with cripple crawl for their mixed raced fattendie goblin mutt child just for the small price of $500 console + $90 game!
nintendo won another generation!
oops all warioware
look forward to the newest entry
I'm pretty sure Suda15 had a project based around this
what's her OF
lmao playing all of HL2 and Skyrim in VR was not a 'tech demo'
she's on OnlyChairs you ableist fuck
id rather use worse thing
Lmao
VR is a tech demo, otherwise it'd be more mainstream than it is.
Adam Hills.
shitty tiny babby hand mine
gotta be careful with those
Oh, duh. I bet those are gonna be Crygor’s minigames.
It's for the Last Leg.
let me guess, she is fat american who lost her legs to diabetes?
armored core where everyone is dual shotguns dual songbirds wheelchair
This game gets a outrage thread but not the fact the real tech demo costs money.
why bait threat uses the lowest hanging fruit
Dual mice would be VR w/o the VR.
Looks like a unity 3d browser game that you'd play as a kid several years ago
I still have to pick up specific VR controllers to make it work and then de-VR games in order to make dual mouse input work. It's still not commonplace and Nintendo is the first one to make it more widespread than the tech demo that VR is.
Cripple basketball is probably fun. If it's a f2p game like F-Zero 99 I'll check it out.
What about a game where you shoot dogs to kill bullets?
