Treasure sensor is a rare trait in that it applies regardless of who it's on and works inside skells too.
It boosts up the chance of a golden chest drop. Tyrants inherently have a 50% drop rate on golden chests, so you only need 50% treasure sensor combined on them to guarantee it. Regular enemies have a much lower rate, usually 5%. Though iirc, I think a few have 3%. Could be wrong there. For those you need 95% (or 97%) combined to guarantee the gold chest. You never actually need 100 though.

I actually hate NG+ in Xenoblade games, it's the sole reason I don't feel like replaying 2, NG+ adds so much shit that I don't see the point in doing any side quests until NG+

What does NG+ add to 2? I'm only aware of a handful of Heart to Heart scenes

What's the deal with the yellow information tidbits? Thorough the game, I had majority of the quest, tyrant, treasure, affinity, H2H, etc. segments unlocking with the yellow info box already there, without encountering in "in the wild". Oftentimes, I would stumble upon a person with yellow info, learning about a thing I already did like two, three chapters ago. Is this some leftover from original game mechanic, or did it work like that then?

I started NG+ for 2 but never finished it because I already did 100 hours of invested grinding before they ever released any dlc so l lost the will to continue
now I'm in a weird limbo because I want to replay it sometime but have no idea what to do about this partly done ng+ file I don't want to just get rid of but don't want to start from

In the original they were hints on where to go but I don't think they updated the recon like they do in DE so you'll still get them for stuff you've done

Max TP increases are good if you're having trouble building the count, if you go into the fight with 12k TP instead of 3 you can just refresh overdrive before you run out, purple arts get better at replenishing as the number goes up so if you're running something like a sniper rifle this can be a good crutch

What happened Anon Babble? Was this Takahashi's original intention before the original game came out? Did he resent that he had to compromise by making the MC a silent self insert? Did the team resent X for not being as popular as the rest of the series? Maybe Takahashi wasn't involved for DE to begin with and the new team didn't know what to do with X?

Do play NG+ in 2. It will be worth it for the third accessory slot and the hidden affinity charts, mostly to make challenge mode stages not a huge slog. The EXP shops are also extremely useful, no more Tiger! Tiger! if you want to use Poppi(and you do want that, Poppi QTpi is both the strongest individual blade and the ultimate enabler for most team comps)

Don't think too hard about it and speedrun the story at very least. I felt that too but I'm glad I did NG+ now because there is no way I was wasting all that time playing Tiger! Tiger! and now LoC battles feel more balanced.

because if you are mid way through ursala you NEED to finish that first or go through her Hell again in its full.
There are a few other things that don't carry over, quest items and such. no roc till you re-earn him in story, rex loses hook shot topple till vandham, etc.
but every character will have all their blades back.
rex won't have his master driver use al the cunts hax till you get back there story wise too.
you should max all blades affinity chart. get kos-mos and max her and do most quests.
cause you will practicually fresh otherwise.
you do keep all owned unrolled cores + pack items and equipment though.

I started the game recently after dropping the wiiU version around chapter 8.
feels good but I somehow gets lost in the wild way more easily than in my memories, and I feel like cheating using fast travel in areas I havent visited yet. But I'm like 15 hours in and still in chapter 3 so maybe it's not that bad that the game spoonfeed me that much

I really hope this relaunch made them consider to reuse this recipe again, it feels so good on a proper device.

And she isn't even a good blade nor has a very interesting niche that makes sense for post-game, realistically the only time where anyone will be able to use Ursula at full capacity. I'd rather max out all the shield hammers and I'm already halfway there(did Electra, Kasandra and Poppibuster)

Ironically it will be more difficult to play NG+ "normally" since you probably have maxed out blades and and end fights effortlessly, even with custom difficulty to make enemies much stronger.
