Elden Ring has a few of THOSE enemies

I usually hate when games make me kill dogs but those fucking mutts in dark souls can't die fast enough.

I find the axe throwers worse

Gosh Fallout is such an ugly fucking game

wrong it's gears of war

The legendary jackal snipers of gears of war insane mode. Gears' sound design and brutality really made every shot that barely misses give you a heart attack.

clipclopclipclopclipclopclipclop

HUUUUURGH

whoosh-whoosh

repeat every 10 seconds for the rest of the game

Kleer_SSHD.png - 267x345, 75.47K

set off 50 barbed traps

crippled for the next millennium

behead all trap rangers

is this game good

yes
too bad a sequel was never made

you now remember kleer alley

Total Vikang Death. Push these fuckers back into the sea with warhammers and pikes.

Gears' sound design and brutality really made every shot that barely misses give you a heart attack.

BOOOOOM

Does a pike charge work too?

I just park my archers on the beach and hose them down with arrows. Works against most enemies in the game.
What I really hate is these buff longbowmen whose arrows plow through your units from a mile away. Even shields struggle to endure them, and if there's a pond anywhere on your island, there will be many casualties from knockback alone.

the key with longbow giants is to park units high up behind cliffs, cover, and houses, then rush with shields once they walk into a disadvantagous spot, Sure Footed ensures they take much less knockback, iron skinned lessens damage taken

Why does that look literally like Skyrim

This is obvious, but some islands are totally pettan, open or full of peninsulas.

Usually but you ran the risk of losing cohesion from the recoil. The cunts with the great bows mixed with the giganigga berserkers were the real butthole puckerers. Even smacking them with a warhammer wielded by a big lad doesn't really do shit to them.

kleers are based and incredibly well designed enemy. it's the hitscan scorpions that are annoying.

You think Kleer alley is bad? The beam gun room in Bright Island is even worse

Houses make good cover if you get lucky with the angle, squad boosting things mess it up however
longbow giants are strictly anti troop(like the twin swordsmen), it can be worth sacrificing a house or two to lure them into a bad position
Is warhammer buffed by mountain trait?

An enemy so good that even Nu-Doom is copying them.

LMAO.png - 1829x880, 1.72M

I never saw a noticeable difference between a manlet and the mountain swinging their hammers. Just felt it was aesthetically appropriate for the biggest angloid to use a warhammer. I always found it best lead them up a hill while hitting them with arrows from the sides. Only pike and hammer charging once you've whittled half of the force down.

This fucking avocado will waste all your resources and drag out fights to painful levels unless BOTH your damage and block is top tier the second you enter act 2

To expand for those who haven't played StS

big hit right out of the gate, applied debuff to block

uses a mix of attacks that whittle you down, can life drain

has a big 14 stack of regenerating block that you need to whittle down as well

decent hp pool

You better hope you got strats going because the end is nigh otherwise

unrelated, but how good is this game? i have beem checking it out, but i dont know how it exactly plays

Classic SS have a perfect enemy roster.

turn based then real time
combat is positioning with rock paper scissors
shields beat archers but countered by overwhelming power/giants
pikes beat shields but are countered by archers, jumpers, and huscarls, as well as literally huge swarms of enemeis
archers can counter anything, but have rng acc and can only focus 1 thing at a time
each turn you can go to islands and fight enemies in boat based waves, your goal is to protect houses, which give you income(up to 3 coins) and healing for lost troops
the commander(guy with the flag) always has a sword, and is given invincibility against ANYTHING the game throws at them, unless they're the last one left, then they can be slain
each commander counts as an action by themself, you can take 2 levels in a 1 turn by splitting 2 and 2 squads evenly, or just 1
abilities mix up and give you an advantage, shields do an aerial plunge from the heights, archers do a barrage, and pikes ready and charge down a line
your goal is to get to the last island and make it to the final wave with at least 1 squad left

oops forgot main goal but eh
one of those "Really good game and concept but nobody copied nor made a sequel of it"

It's alright but like most games of that type you can roll some real bullshit setups which may or may not bite you in the ass later on down the line. Pikes are the kings of line holding, bows will be your equalizer and infantry can be used very effectively as attack and defense if you know where to move and how to time them. Pikes are slow to step up and are weak to ranged attacks, archers are weak to melee losing even more effectiveness against shield bearers and infantry are weak against the heaviest units like the big grey boys. Don't expect the last ones to go toe to toe without some positioning and ability spamming because they will bitchslap their asses into the water. Pikes can hold their ground but if you try moving them they will get tossed like ragdolls.

Nah the worst are those wall tanks that can shoot in any direction

Sword-giants make soldiers scared, resulting in the bitchslapping, scared troops attack much less often, the fearless trait removes this, or you can use sure footed/mountain to get a bit more edge
you're much better using pikes/archers against giants, soldiers can only compete with plunge/item

Backstep when they charge you, then attack
Works every time

i hate werebulls more

Tee-hee I'll latch onto your submarine and you won't notice until there's at least ten of me on it!

why, my peenus weanus of course :)

hahah! :D

it's my weeeeeenus peanus! :) hahah

ITT: THOSE enemies - my answer is, of course, my peanus weenus :D

hahaha!

I played it on mobile and it worked quite fine because of the simplified grid-based movement, camera that rotates around a fixed point, and the slo-mo that triggers when you select a unit/ability. One of the better games you can have on that cursed platform.
On the other hand, the grid can make it awkward to place units, aim abilities, block passages, or chase foes, because the enemies largely ignore the grid when moving.

Only 1 long range hitscan weapon in the game, so you better have spent the entire game stockpiling revolver ammo because they're gonna be spammed everywhere in the penultimate level

What the fuck were Valve thinking

will succ 4 power

But enough about politicians

I fucking hate these niggers so much

High lord.png - 284x418, 145.18K

They even admitted that it was a bad design. Then they decided to put manhacks in the sequel anyway kek.

literally just block and watch them bounce off your shield

block

nigger

don't come crying to me next time they rape you then

*wastes your time swimming around the water*

*hip checks you from across the map*
