If they do a good job then I'm not against it.
They can't take shortcuts and they must avoid the hubris of thinking they can outdo the original creators in the fields they weren't at a technologically disadvantage in, like game design and story and voice acting. But if they simply improve the graphics and other aspects, keeping the vision of the original, I can imagine great games can result from that.
