The short answer is genuine power tripping, and the internet culture war doesn’t help. there are moderators that aren’t zealous and don’t give a shit alert from keeping the place clean, but the majority of staff are high on their own farts, they give out vans like candy for first time (and small) offenders and they even post about it in the staff discord for others to laugh.

If you already paid, you paid. Without a severe policy overhaul they can’t take that shit away, but it isn’t impossible to pull the plug. It’s been talked abo it before and the consensus on lifetime premium is that removing it with squander trust to the point where people would pull out - unlike the site CSS/layout change (which is quantifiably acceptable losses as per the discussion lmfao)
