Switch sold like gangbusters and it's a gimmick people not only understand, but also latched onto pretty fast. Plus the current president has a degree in economics, so in his eyes it makes perfect sense to make a beefier version of the thing that picked them back up after the Wii U

Also they did actually consider “super nintendo switch”, but because it can play switch games unlike the snes with nes games they thought it wouldn’t make much sense to use a similar naming scheme
