Youll press 1, 2, 3 a lot. Every 2 minutes you'll press a macro that uses all of your buffs and press 1,2,3 even more for 15s.

stand in the right place

do your rotation

Best out of all the MMOs
Only one that comes close is FF11

as far as mmo combat goes it's fine, some specs are better, some are worse. not everyone likes mmo combat though.

soon to be very fun with the one button rotation
i plan to come back

MMO players be like

yo this gameplay is fire

I never once felt content or had fun from the combat. I have bought every expansion.

Best out of all MMOs

That's not DOFUS.

soul...

assuming we're talking about exploring the barrens weeks after the game came out, it's a lot of fun with bros. probably one of the best videogames of all time

Quick ranjeesh! There are too many non blizzard threads! Make a wow thread, use the basic box art picture so everyone can immediately know what it is! The post subject doesn't matter make it now ranjeesh!!!

hey now, i have to press 1 2 3 4 AND 5

This isnt ff14 lol

It's dog shit tab target garbage. Boomers will say it's the best, but the reality is that these retards never touched a action game in their life and wouldn't know good combat if it hit them on the head. Any MMO with action combat is 10x better by default.

action is a shit genre and i avoid it because i don't like it, not because i haven't tried it

not

fpbp

He could have made anything

He had the money

He had the audience

He decided to make a shitty idle game runescape clone

There are STILL a diehard fanbase who defends BS claiming it has no similarities to Runescape.

you avoid it because your a low IQ ape with a 500ms reaction time

i avoid it because strategy and planning are more interesting than reaction speed

We all waiting for the Riot MMO

I'm not.

Riot MMO

Whos gonna tell him?

you could apply the same to any game,

well you will click alot and pres wasd alot, every once in awhile u will right click

you will mash the a button alot and press the dpad, every 2 mins u will click r3 and l3

fun

when you beat someone its because your gear is better and youll feel bad
when someone beats you tis because their gear is better and youll feel bad
there is a global 1 second cooldown on all abilities, its literally a 1 action per second game.

Action fundamentally doesnt work great for mmos, the only one that really tried was tera

yeah it definitely has the best gamefeel out of any of the MMOs

wouldnt know, I just fap to female tauren

said no one ever

every semi-decent action combat mmo has exactly the same layers of strategy and planning as any tab target mmo you fucking ape

except action mmos killed tab targeting 10 years ago
every new mmo now has at least hybrid combat

he just said it though

Very fun anon, just look at this screen

Name the successful ones then

wowhead

not clicking that shit

excluding china, the two biggest mmos in the rest of the world are still wow and xiv by a fairly large margin. games like gw2, osrs, and eve are fairly distant runners-up.

Any MMO with action combat is 10x better by default.
lol

wtf is wrong with /v these days?

interesting that they're not on top then

how fun is WoW combat?

It feels good to do a lot of damage while simultaneously dodging boss mechanics. It feels good to heal through a nuke that reduces your raid's HP to 10%. It feels good to press cooldowns and blast someone on BGs or destroy a pack of mobs in the dungeon. Mechanically, it's choose target, then use abilities in the right order.

i forgot to press >

i was talking more generally about different types of gameplay. i don't really like "action game" gameplay. if you want to say it's because i'm bad at it, then i should point out i have thousands of hours in civ4/5 and eu4 and i'm absolutely terrible at those games. some people just have different taste than you. in fact, judging by popularity alone, a LOT of people have different taste than you since wow and xiv are still the top played mmos.

i will grant that the only action-gameplay mmo i have substantially played is tera and i just found that boring. but the combat gameplay in wow/ff14 is fine in service of what i actually care about: planning and strategy. i've played action games, i know what they're like, they're just not my thing and having that type of combat in an mmo would not make it better for me, at best it wouldn't make a difference.

depends, vanilla wow most rotations are static as fuck, around wrath/cataclysm it gets better but still nothing amazing until later on. I think MoP struck a good balance between vanilla and retail in terms of rotations and class fantasy.
I decided to level a frost mage in vanilla for the first time ever for anniversary realms and boy did I fucking regret playing that garbage in raids. Literally just frostbolt spam unless it's an aoe encounter then bllizard and arcane explosion, braindead shit.
Vanilla WoW is meant to be played in a banterful guild while you're having a couple beers or cocktails during a raid.

Of course you were born after 2006

As fun as smash your balls with a hammer

literally every mmo outside of wow and anal fantasy.
does that even matter though? dead genre

woah, moongathering is actually fun wtf

the best in a shit genre

and i just found that boring

boring is turn-based shit. the skill ceiling in TERA was a bottomless pit, i'd always find new ways to fuck people up until the day i quit. and i'd improve simply by playing the game, optimizing my character, and trying new things out.
completely different from any tab-target garbage that i've played in the past. i had to grind every fucking day just to watch the number go up, so that then i could fuck people up (the people that didn't no-life or whale as much as me)

of what i actually care about: planning and strategy

the game state in TERA would take place in that same 350ms+ limbo, same as any tab targeting game.
you just wanna watch number go up and slack.
