Part of me’s going to be sad when it’s gone since I’ve played on and off since the game first came out in 2013, and I’m guessing none of my shit will transfer over to VI’s multiplayer.
I’ll never forget playing with Anon Babble on a Bane Plane crashing map back in 2016, that shit was so much fun.

GTA IV IS better than GTA V though. The only thing 5 has is the online play, which is a thing you didn't have with 4, but I certainly wouldn't say it's a positive thing. Consider that GTAV online existing has kept you from having 2 mainline GTA entries that could have also been as good.

V is only better than low effort turds like GTA Advance and London 1961. It’s a soulless, vapid waste of a return to San Andreas with three unlikable characters in a dead city with none of the attention to detail that IV had. Anyone can copy the look of Los Angeles. Rockstar failed to get the feel of it outside of tired Hollywood archetypes we’ve seen for nearly a century. Lack of innovation is what ultimately killed V and turned it into a laughingstock against the obsessive work put into IV’s atmosphere. It was a step backward from what came before, ironically the same accusation levied against IV, except IV is still looked upon fondly unlike V outside of braindead zoomers jacking off to RP servers and jet bikes.
This, although honestly GTA IV’s freemode is a lot more fun despite being way more barebones. It was just pure simple chaos (plus you could toggle cops and friendly fire).

Content wise GTA IV is still king, the devs said only 40% of players finished GTA IV story mode which is why the single player of GTA V is trash.

i think a lot of people are blinded by the dark ages that GTAO caused. V hate is a bandwagon that has less to do with the mechanics of the game and more with the bad taste GTAO has left, which I don't really blame people for. all GTAs are my children and i love them for different reasons but GTAO is really a disappointing child that has made people claim shit like this, which is objectively false. V has far more content, quality of life features, better gameplay in general, obviously far better graphics after how many iterations of the game, the list goes on. "not music" is a subjective and wrong opinion, there is just so much more shit in GTAV there's no way there isn't just as many/more good tracks among the mess. the other shit that bothers people is perfectly reasonable though, like removing the cool physics from ragdolls, nerfing car damage, making the car handling into some forza horizon shit, etc. but most of the shit that is objectively better in IV is just neat little autism features, aside from arguably a more interesting/serious story

GTAO as it was in the beginning was what every real GTA nigga dreamt about. it had enough fun shit to do and was more advanced than IV in a bigger map with more vehicles and weapons. its progression (if you can call it that) has been pretty depressing, other than a few high points that stand out. i don't even join freemode anymore, i go straight to invite-only and grind shit alone or rarely with 1-2 friends. it's a depressing game
It kind of pisses me off that Rockstar had 12 years and 2 new console releases for GTA V yet they never released that single player DLC they promised because of the fucking Online mode.
How hard would it have been to have added some DLC story modes like they had in GTA IV? It felt like they wanted to add more for the characters but just gave up, it’s a shame because the game itself is relatively short for a GTA title too, so many possibilities with the main trio.
GTA4 was made in a time where everything was trying too hard to take itself seriously and be mature. The brown and gritty late 2000s. GTA4 was following a bad trend at the time. GTAV wasn’t even when R* first course corrected. TBoGT was significantly more light hearted and action packed than 4.
I hope every interior is enter able in VI, I hated how many you couldn’t re-enter in V after their missions.
If it doesn't facilitate online play microtransactions it won't be in the game.
