if you really want to use weapons just steal everything you can get your hands on, enchant what you can, and sell it to the mudcrab merchant or creeper and just pay for training, levelling weapon skills is incredibly tedious and the weird fusion of FPS targetting and percent roll based hits just feels really fucking bad when you have poor skills

the game in general just really encourages you to break it with the magic system. even when you master the game you really aren't playing it for the gameplay, more the setting and ambience and charming jank and satisfaction from making crazier fucking spells and items

Short Blade isn't tedious at all to level, it trains pretty damn fast. For any other skill I guess that's the case if you don't know how to have it be fairly high at the outset, but even then you can just use a trainer to supplement a few levels.
A lot of writers do that regardless of fictional races, even TES. Though more commonly you'll see "person".

I don't like any iteration of glass armour so far. The Morrowind version looks like something from an 80s mecha anime. The Oblivion one looks like a Chinese knockoff action figure - that toy you're too embarrassed to show your schoolfriends. The Skyrim armour looks like something one of Thanos's minions would wear into battle against The Avengers.

Oblivion's is the only one I dislike, but I actually like what they did with it in the remaster. Glass armor is cool.

Just installed TR for the first time. This is pretty nice, ngl. Sadly I'm opting-out of using grass mods in the mainland, since it seems the ground meshes are constantly getting tweaked over time. At least that's my assumption with floating grass everywhere.
