Talk about it.
Xenoblade X
Laziest thread award
goes to coom thread #47534773779
which xenoblade do i play to grind thousands of hours?
game for tendie kids who are too stupid to understand real MMOs or their mom wont let them buy a subscription
60 dollars for a decade old game
no thanks.
maybe I'll emulate it.
This one.
Having played the original, and knowing what to do/where to find things, I still ended up putting 200 hours to 100% the game.
understand MMOs
the top MMO at the moment encourages you to install as many cheats as possible and just added 1 button rotations. At least most people just play this game vanilla without any cheats.
Yes
At least coomposters don't beg other anons to make their threads interesting, unlike OP
Does it even have the cheats CEMU has? The game would be unplayable without rhem.
Just got the Ares 90. What all do I put on it to make it OP as fuck?
Yeah instead they pollute the board with off-topic garbage, much better
too stupid to understand real MMOs
neither do weakaura/dbm users like you KEK
Custom WP Atk on the Agashura cannon.
Opening Art DMG on everything else.
Either X or 2. You're either grinding for materials, material tickets or weapons with semi-perfect rolls (you're never getting perfect rolls stop lying to yourself(me)). Not to mention the exploration which isn't a grind but will take a long time. And then if you're crazy you can do holo completion and if you're dead inside there's achievement completion.
2 has you grinding for 99% of all Blade's affinity nodes even if you'll never use said blade. The last 1% is if you're dead inside and decide to complete the Vess, Gorg and Vale's crafting nodes which are a whole lot of grinding the loading screen for no reward.
How would you guys rank all the xeno games, from gears to saga to blade?
Nothing, it comes fully ready to one/two-tap 99% of the game. Now's the perfect time to go get your revenge on Go-Rah
pal copy
Heres your bump, but im not participating in this thread.
Based and succinctpilled. Now buckle in for the next thousand hours of collecting bug parts, overkilling indigens, and praying to RNGesus for that one stupid drop.
I only watched the cutscenes for the Xenosaga trilogy and played Gears up until a random encounter stopped me mid-jump on a particularly slippery platforming segment so I will not be ranking them. The moment Xenogears gets a mod that fixes the Gears jump physics, call me and I'll give it another spin.
That said:
X > 2 > FR > Torna > 3 > 1 >>>> FC
Plot device mech that can access the afterlife is significantly weaker than a copy of it that puts some wheels on.
I rank the series pretty much the same except maybe 3 beating Torna. Haven't played FC though.
Coomposting is Anon Babble culture
I doubt it really matters but you can upgrade the original a shitload
It's okay, but it really is the weakest of the bunch.
Imagine Xenoblade 1 combat but no vision, no chain attacks and the only party comps you can make WILL have one of the following:
AI Shulk
AI Melia
Sharla
There's some good music and cute heart-to-hearts but that's about it. The antagonists are particularly awful, even by Xenoblade standards.
It's like a 6/10 game in a series that never scored below a 8.5 before or since.
Chapter 13 really felt phoned in, in a lot of ways.
I guess the planet at the end is in the same universe at the end of 3? Guess Takahashi will join them up at some point.
He uses 'tendie', he's a sonyfag who doesn't even have games, go easy on him.
Gameplay wise it's bullshit but story wise it makes sense
Samarians weren't necessarily planning on using it as weapon
they're more focused on the magic bullshit it's capable of
Elma doesn't actually know everything that it can do
humanity and her assume its primary function is being a weapon
they base the first skells from it, hence why it shares it stats with level 20 skells
they work on improving skells once they have resources from Mira
I guess the planet at the end is in the same universe at the end of 3?
Hard to say, guess we'll have to wait and see. One thing's for sure, if it IS in the same universe, then it either isn't Earth, or it's set far into the past or future of post-XC3 Earth, since that Earth didn't have an orbital ring unlike some OTHER planet from the Xeno lore...
For infinite rng grind, it's the weapon/armor/skell weapon grind in XBX and the macha accessory crafting in XB3.
For a super long grind with a definite end point, it's maxing out affinity coins in XB1 and maxing out all the affinity charts/idea levels, trust levels etc in XB2 including for Vandham.
For the truly insane who want a super long but not infinite rng grind, it's maxing out idea levels in Torna. Most people don't even know that's a thing. But it's completely evil and I highly recommend against it.
The wheels one is made with vita parts and yggdralith parts too.
I’m trying to make a ground build after ignoring it all game this is cancer the odds of getting what you want are abysmal
I would settle for getting just 1 good trait on the weapon to avoid going mad. I say this while still trying to grind for a raygun with ranged attack and ether attack despite already having one with ranged attack, ranged accuracy and TP gain.
Remember to switch to the class that uses the weapon you're trying to get and to set party members who use that weapon if you're not already.
The trick is not wanting too much. 3 traits, all good and specific good ones you want it asking too much of very very low odds.
yeah you can max it's attributes out, which i guess is because you only get the one and can't really do it over
How can you rank 2 so high? First one?
Is it possible to complete the game solo? I hate having to have party members because they keep getting in the way.
Yes but also no. You don't actually need them at all but you probably want to work on affinity to unlock some stuff and sometimes they force you to carry dead weight along
How can you not rank 2 high? Ignoring anime titties it improved over XB1 in leaps and bounds. Better world, better music, better sidequests, better plot, better combat, etc.
How can you rank 2 so high?
It's mostly the combat. Despite being completely different, X fans can probably enjoy that it gives you a lot of freedom with how you want to break the game. Even if players don't get deep in to the combat they'll most likely find a team synergy to get a driver combo lock going which really feels rewarding.
I don't think anything else about it is particularly strong compared to the rest of the series outside of its music.
First one?
My first was X, then 1 (Wii), 2 and 3.
The game can be cheesed both on ground and skells playing solo. Ground builds require the right talents to stay alive while skells just need a decent amount of grinding for the right augments. You'll one shot pretty much everything but a couple super bosses at the end of the game in a skell.
Riddle me this: if annihilation events destroyed Mira, then how come I'm still getting minerals from my probes?
Checkmate, atheists.
Same reason you can do online missions. So you can still grind while doing the last chapter.
this game is WAY too grindy, wtf
SEX WITH NEILNNAIL!!!!!!
this xeno election quest
Holy kek
So do the Qlurians ever get added to the race info tab in the menu?
He doesn't want to pay the pizza tax
What are you, poor?
yes. it reiterates that they are born artificially, which neilnail hints at in her 2nd am
he doesn't see value in a pizza-based economy
The only good bug is is a dead bug, right?
Works on my machine.
Did you enjoy Clair Obscur?
born in a tank
no wonder they look undercooked. they should leave them in longer
Sorry for the off topic but anything I should work on before doing NG+ in Xeno 2?
I've unlocked all blades, maxed out all affinities except for fucking Vess and Gorg. I've cleared any side quest in the menu but I don't know if there's more left in the world, not even sure if it would be important.
Shit's fugly
Did you obtain the Dilaton Chips from the treasure chest in the World Tree you can access after beating Ophion? Did you make any progress in challenge battles?
Haven't played it yet because I heard the Steam Deck version was pretty bad and I'm too busy with X.
niggas still pissed they can't make Lin naked
Better world, better sidequests, better combat are absolutely things that X had first. I understand that better music is subjective but I love Sawano’s X soundtrack; plot is definitely a step down if you only consider what the “main story” is and not all the environmental and side story worldbuilding
120hrs on old emu version
i'm eventually going to finish it. i still don't know how overdrive works yet i killed telethia with a meme build. on ch 11 i think and i finished up all the side quests i could find, so i think i'm ready for end game, whenever i get around to it
Make sure you defeat Artifice Opheon at the Cliffs of Morytha, he drops a keycard that unlocks a chest with some rare core chips in the World Tree.
Make sure you finish feeding the Ardun to max level, then kill it so you can spawn it from its tombstone in NG+ without having to feed him all over again.
If you've finished Ursula's quest, make sure you've looked at her affinity chart to actually unlock her nodes, don't be like that one Anon that had to redo the quest in NG+ because he jumped the gun.
being born from artificial wombs doesn't mean neilnail and celica lack vaginas
After waiting 10 years, I think the new story chapter wasn't good. It should've stayed with the sci-fi alien planet setting instead of moving to multi-dimensional gods. What's the deal with those Ghost thingies anyway? Why did the writers decide to make Elma so lame?
That being said, it's still the best Xenoblade game by a mile.
I’m pretty sure the move to multi-dimensional gods was probably intended to be part of the X story eventually, but after another game or two instead of being rushed into a single chapter
The Ghosts are just Gnosis in all but name.
So is the Xenoblade X story actually going to continue or did Chapter 13 definitively end that story? Remember that they said they were going to continue the X story in future installments?
I used to be one of those 'hurr durr this is the best one' but after replaying it, I think it's the worst, it has the best open world but the quest quality is garbage and the combat is fake depth
This is the reason I spent the entire game with face masks or helmets on. My character in both versions of the game looked exactly like that too except with very dark blue hair. I wanted to be bald or have Doug's hairstyle this time but they removed those options for shitty references to other Xeno characters.
Well, they certainly ended the game on a perfect excuse to start a new game on: the arrival at a brand new planet to explore and colonize.
The ghosts probably yeah. Takahashi fucking loves the gnosis
the quest quality is garbage
Nigga what
I don't think they'll continue X itself but it will be a building block of whatever Takahashi's planning next. Definitely ghosts will be involved.
If the Ares is the same kind of technology as the Ouroboros in 3/FR, then Shulk's son and Riku accidentally replicated ancient samaarian technolgy and therefore ghosts will come to rape their world regardless of if it's factually connected to the X world or not. They're both set up to be attacked by ghosts now.
They didn't resolve the Ghost storyline, since it's not like they won't destroy the new universe they're in. So yeah. And like the other anon said, new planet.
Yep, you guessed it. Still staring at Elma's butt.
The actual level design in 2 is worse than 1's. The world isn't better either, but not necessarily worse; they're both great. 3 dropped the ball in that department.
The sidequests in 2 aren't better than the ones in 1 either. They're all kinda forgettable and unsubstantial. 1 had a lot of filler quests but it had some really cool ideas for some of the others.
2's plot is abysmal compared to 1.
2's combat was good but it was pretty linear in its structure of just building up a combo into a higher tier combo and then turning that combo into an even higher tier then having to pop it in a chain attack. I think 1's had a lot more variety in its actual Arts, even if a lot of them weren't anywhere near as viable as others. That's more of a numbers balancing issue than a greater conceptual one though.
The music in both games are equally amazing, even in 3.
Al...
I said what I said, not all the quests are good and there are about 5 million of them, I realized I was starting to hate the game when I tried to clean up my map of a lot of them and see more content instead of doing the fun part of the game; the world map. Given that everyone, even people who love the game admit the storyline is dogshit, what is my motivation to even keep playing? In XC1-3 I was compelled to do the story AND explore the world, sure the worlds aren't as good as Mira but it doesn't carry this game to the top spot in the series like people like to make out that it does.
NTA but I did find myself just teleporting from point A to B most of the time
I'm tired of Takahashi rehashing his previous ideas just because he wants another chance. I want something new. Xenoblade 1 was something new at first and it was great, and so was X, but then he had to stroke his ego and try to shoehorn it into his other ideas that got snubbed.
It's weird because it actually spoils that in the info tab before you even can do that mission.
Lol it was funny seeing an "atheist" zaruboggan lose his mind about learning that golboga was human and they are another engineered race instead of evolving from literal garbage. Their planet probably had some samaarians that fucked the entire planet with pollution and then created zarubogans to eat the garbage lol. Very funny.
who knows. i'd hope that Chapter 13's retcons were because they had ideas for a sequel that they need to railroad X into but it's just as possible they absorb it into the numbered games or touch it again
Elma's black firm buttocks on my face
How is it even a debate that 2 hasn't got the best combat in the series? 1 is literally 2 but super simplified, 3 is actually auto pilot and X is the most overrated thing ever, there are an absolute shit ton of gearsets and weapons and arts in X that make you think the game has a super flexible combat system when it fact it just a few OP builds and 99% of the other stuff isn't worth using. At least 2 made your Blade setups relevant and also the branching paths all had a function, before the DE of X added instant cooldowns it was also the only combat in the series that let you cancel autos for super fast arts
I was wondering why no one points out how useless the majority of gear in this game is, they really just bombard you with stats to make it feel deep
Xenoblade 1 was something new at first
Oh please
"God" just wants our lives as fuel to perpetuate his own existence
Thankfully the protagonist is favored by the Wave Exist- I mean Alvis who is tired to be exploited by the self-appointed tyrant God
The edgy villain from the start of the game turns out to have been working to kill God and end his cycle of tyranny, and while his actions are not justifiable, they are understandable
In the end, God is destroyed by his own creation
All the mystic shit is actually sci-fi
Xenoblade 1 was already full Xeno, and full of recycled ideas and themes
>>>> FC
I liked it a lot for what it is, I don't get what people hated so much about it.
IMO, it being short was better than Torna overstaying its welcome with the forced sidequests.
But I guess I'm biased because I'm a Meliachad.
2 is way more simple than 1. All games in Xenoblade are supposed to have a super flexible combat system in theory but they suck at balancing it or just don't care to since it's a single player game, so the dominant strategy naturally is going to be the most used one. The branching paths of 2's elemental orb sealing was never used because whatever boss you were fighting would only have one type of debuff that would be a threat to you, so you would just make sure to seal that off first with whatever elemental orb it was. Then you rinse and repeat with whatever other combos your AI party members feel like helping you set up and then once you have a few you just hit chain attack and delete the last 60% of the enemy's healthbar in one burst.
2 is way more simple than 1
Stopped reading there
How is it even a debate that 2 hasn't got the best combat in the series?
Because it doesn't. 3 does, even 1 is better. I enjoy X more than 2 even though X is objectively the most broken, messy combat system.
How is Egil edgy? He's not even evil, he's literally the only one of his race doing the only thing they can do to make sure Zanza is punished for what he's done. Sure he sometimes says a moustache twirly line here or there but it doesn't change the fact that he's doing what he does for the greater good. It's because of these similar sentiments that he shares with Shulk that they're able to reach an understanding when all the cards are down and his back is against the wall.
Samefag.
3 does
Like I said, 3's combat is autopilot, with 6 team mates all pulling their weight your contribution is mostly done in the pre planning phase
Already resorting to samefag accusations.
Pathetic.
t.
No because I don't think 3 has the best combat system.
Shit on the blade gacha all you want, but it directly affected your combat experience in 2 and it was fun making it work
That was a nice perk, but it came at the cost of sending completionfags like me into insanity.
We can all agree that early game plains are GOAT'd though, yeah?
I didn't care about the gacha. I cared about not letting me skip all the scenes until 2 months after the game came out and I had already suffered through all of that empty time.
It got really old by 3. Milick Meadows is so small and boring compared to the others.
