I'm like 99% sure these exact examples are just the devs being insanely incompetent rather than purposeful plagiarism. They probably just had a shitload of loose images floating around fileshares or passed around as 'inspiration' and examples of what the style should look like. Then years later some artist finds a cool image that looks like that, and has 'Aleph' written on it and probably just assumes someone internal made it and throws it on some environment texture. The series of squares with symbols also has what looks like a ghost symbol from Destiny.
That being said, pretty sure the art director should be in some fuckin hot water because they clearly got more than just vibes from this artist - the end result should not have been so blatantly similar as to make it reasonable for a low level artist to reasonably guess an art piece was internal.
