How will Char ever recover?
Charsissies... w-what the fuck do we do... we have to defend /ournonce/
By becoming Quattro Bajeena
Why did people follow this cunt in CCA anyway? He never made any sense or made a single legitimate point for TED.
The people in control of earth needed to die
Killing everyone else along with them was wrong but hey what else can you do
wait g gundam takes place at hte same time as seed???
sneed* and yes
The events of Zeta pretty much sums up why. The actions of a faction (Titans) from the Earth Federation forces has cannonically killed millions while trying to destroy any Zeon remnants/sympathizers. Then Char makes the realisation that Earth will never change and if they continue to exist, another Titans faction will pop up and try to do the same shit again.
LALAH COULD HAVE BEEN A MOTHER TO ME
*commits another war crime*
CCA was character assassination slop. It's not canon.
That dialogue was so misplaced especially that Amuro dies after having a flabbergasted reaction.
Not really.
Gundam mecha designs are garbage. Vastly better series out there with lot better designed mechas.
Zeon kills off half of humanity inside of a week
Then The Titans kill off some more millions a few years later
I wonder how many mass killings have happened in UC. IT really does shape up to be just the worst fucking timeline. Why does no one target industrial bases so that the other side can no longer pump out mobile suits?
I'll tell you why, the one year war, and all subsequent conflicts were orcastrated by Anaheim Electronics and Zeonic. They don't attack each others industrial base because they share that industrial base. The entire story of the UC is the military Industrial complex eating itself so that it can make more money.
o ye? name 10 nigga
whats with this half cgi horseshit
It's from Gundam the Origin.
Sounds like real life excerpt with mobile suits.
Not that anon but as far as robots with a wild west theme goes, I always preferred the design of Bismark aka Ramrod from Saber Rider over Tequila Gundam.
t. spacen*id
Both sides were committing genocide without remorse, they actually do attack the industrial bases, its just that those said bases are very well hidden and are very hard to get to especially with the whole Minovsky Particles fucking up radar systems and long range communications.
It's CGI but with shading textures on it to look like the OG series.
That's just for the OP, the suits in the actual anime look like generic CGI slop.
Tbf the high quality hand drawn mecha animations are now becoming extinct mainly because there aren't enough artists who has the skill to painstakingly hand draw each details of a mecha.
delete this anti-semitic dog whistle right now
When do we get to enter F91 era?
We're never getting there. We're back to sucking off shit near the OYW and F91 takes place in UC 0123.
He used his charisma to lure in spacenoids and Zeon sympathizers to his cause, to justify his own psycho moral crusade that is basically his usual sociopathic tendencies with no more plot of revenge to temper them and angst from what happened to Kamille driving him to extremes. He was never meant to actually make a point, the point is war broke him and Char functionally became everything he was rather than a masked identity he hid behind, with all the necessity for "violence for a greater cause" that inclines.
The fact that he's technically right about how Earth would just repeat their mistakes boils down to the fact that even his insane ass can see it and Amuro was too optimistic, but that's the UC for you.
gimme the QRD on gquuuuuuux please
from what I heard on Anon Babble it's a fanfic Anno wrote while he was in highschool - Char gets to steal the Gundam, Zeon wins the one year war and then what happens afterwards is an abridged version of Zeta Gundam
if that's what it really is like then I wonder what the fuck was Sunrise thinking when they gave that the go ahead
only master asia is stupid enough to waste even more breath talking about saving breath
he doesn't know
That's not exactly correct other than Char stealing the gundam and preventing the white base from lauching. Zeon wins the war, but doesn't have the manpower or resources to enforce its conquest so there are still fed and independent colonies. Zeon itself isn't united because of a Kyacilla and a Ghiren faction being at a cold stalemate.
stop posting pics of me and my pal Bask Ohm please
that doesn't sound as terrible as I thought it would be, thanks anon
Half of it is alt history Gundam and the other half is Yui, I mean Char, getting absorbed into the robot while teens do stuff
It's hilarious to me that in gquux even without the gundam and whitebase it still took Zeon a year to win the war, making it look like Amuro's contributions meant fuck all in the grand scheme of things.
It isn't, at least not intentionally. The western fanbase has some odd delusions about what Char was going on about and, coupled with too much Tomino dickriding, made a retarded headcanon that is passed around as gospel instead of just taking things at face value.
That being said, CCA's story is horseshit and Tomino is a hack. Char's character only became more flaccid as UC progressed and attempting to bring back the rivalry with Amuro did nothing to restore the presence he had in the original series.
Can expand late UC with entire new factions, get designers to make new mech designs altogether
Nah, GOTTA WANK ZEON OFF AND CREATE A NEW COLORED ZAKU
You also forgot Char wanted to die alongside Axis crashing into the planet and never let go of the grudge of Amuro accidentally killing Lalah
What? You're forgetting that in this timeline since the Gundam was stolen successfully, the EF didn't get the pilot data to make the Jims fucking halfway useful.
Yes. but it still took Zeon a year to win the war.
Basically you could have dropped Amuro in at the last battle and that would be the only thing that changes who wins, because everything still took a year to wrap up.
t. Salty zeek
Just gonna leave this right here...
Even with Amuro the solar ray towards the end of the war changed a lot
A big plot point in the OYW is that most of the veterans were dead, and even with their technology advantage via Mobile Suits, the Zeon were still stuck in a stalemate relying on classic spy and espionage tactics to hope to gain any footholds. Early-gen mobile suits pre-Gundam were still susceptible to good old tank decking and local AA weaponry or the like. Even with the Gundam at his disposal before it was submitted for testing, presumably Char didn't want the Zabis to claim victory too readily, and it likely took Zeon a while to understand exactly how the Gundam worked for future production purposes, whereas the Federation in canon would assemble Amuro's combat data and what the White Base went through to greatly accelerate their progression.
It was always something of a fickle point that required a couple key turns at the tail end of the conflict, and the Gundam itself only turned the tides because it was a stalemate buster thrown at major objectives and enemy strongholds. Without that and the known Zabi in-fighting, I can imagine that even having that buster on their side didn't instantly grant Zeon the victory.
Are you forgetting the fact that Zeon had to go into hiding for the most part after losing in the main storyline? Or the fact that anyone Zabi related had to fucking hide who they were or risk being attacked by the two sets of psychos, one that was born in the EF but was only created because Gato is a retard and really should have suffered a hell of a lot more before dying.
patch when?
how does he do it? why is judao such a chad?
I'd enjoy this clever burn, unfortunately Char has often admitted to being an aimless temperamental cunt when the whim takes him, rather than learning from it he goes on to survive and be admired in-universe and with viewers, so there's little that can be said that will affect that.
There's a reason the ace jerk archetype took off in anime. Guys wants to be him, girls want to be with him.
At least the new shit is around the zeta era for once
IMO, the non-gundam designs are pretty cool. Almost all the Zeon suits are classic designs. All of the Gundam motif designs range from meh to okay.
I still stan a fucking mass production model of all things
I dunno man, the gogg and zock were just too goofy for me to take seriously. That shit looked like it belonged in Mazinger Z.
This is an SRW thread, we appreciate all mechs here
Char wanking is so funny considering that by CCA, Amuro was in a completely different league as him.
ANSWER ME DOMON
Later series really like to downplay how important Amuro and the rest of the White Base crew were to the Federation war effort. Watching 0079 itself, it's quite clear that Amuro and co. were instrumental in keeping the Federation from being defeated and in creating the resurgence that defeated Zeon.
I hope that when they add Yuri Gundam, Tomboy edition, they give us the option to save this MILF from her pointless death in hands of the male main character nobody gives a shit about. Hell, she denies their existence but she ironically is a newtype, maybe if Amuro is there during her canon death event he can change that.
he's technically right about how Earth would just repeat their mistakes
Nah they get their shit together by G-Reco.
Unironically I rewatched G Gundam about 1-2 years ago and it wasn't as good as I remember, unfortunately. I wish it fucking was. Went from a 9 to a 6.
G-Reco
Lmao, MC likes main girl but she hates him for accidentally killing her boyfriend, then they discover they are siblings, MC despairs beyond reason while main girl immediately gains "onechan" personality.
i prefer 1337speak to whatever this discord shit is
Mechs are cool, but have you considered tanks?
am i the only anon that gets hella annoyed when people treat char as this megalomaniac villain? all I see is a broken man that's been destroyed by the system. i never seen origin
Char did nothing wrong.
There, I said it.
cute teenage girls are now sleeping on top of him half-naked
In the end, he won.
One of these is a guy, an asshole that killed a cute milf.
I feel like this translation isn't correct
It's Gundam and she was a woman in a mobile suit. If you're not a protagonist/hero, your chances of death escalate upwards to 90% fatality rates.
I don't write the rules.
That's his adopted son, so it's okay for him to do it too. Chalia can also join if he wants.
cute milf
Should've stayed home and raised her kid instead of returning to the battlefield.
Fuck off, SRW will fix this unless the show runners make an iron rule that she must always die like with Kamina and Kittan. Yeah, the SRW aren't allowed to keep Kamina and Kittan alive.
エゴだよ、それは!
You're full of yourself!
It's taking its liberties.
Should've stayed home and raised her kid instead of returning to the battlefield.
Yeah, she should have moved to Alola with her older cousin and offer "alola services" like her.
He only has eyes for one, so says the gundam
That One is Amuro
When Guuuuuuux (what stupid name) is added to SRW, how will Char react to the news that he would have won if certain asshole didn't went to the capture the gundam mission?
Amuro could have been like a mother to me!
Just finished it for the first time myself, I thought it was a 8 or maybe a 9
tf didn't you like about it
needs a better training arc and a less confusing tournament structure.
Why is there a bunch of Zeon wank in UC? Zeon dropped a colony and started a war that wiped out half of humanity. Why do they get any sympathy?
Yuri Gundam, Tomboy edition
Machu went apeshit ar getting cucked by Nyaam
HAVE YOU SEEN AMERICA RIGHT NOW?
Because Bandai loves making the mech designs from Zeon.
Yuri Gundam, Tomboy Edition
That's basically the entirety of Code Fairy, which Scamco still hasn't yet to port to PC.
Because the original Gundam took its time to highlight a pretty realistic reality: not all of Zeon are evil, and not all of the Federation are "good". Some grunts on the ground are perfectly humanized, affable and normal individuals that Amuro can sympathize with, while others will do horrible things like raid their own citizen's towns and homes for supplies and board. The generals up high range from incompetent to corrupt, the citizens shift between hating whoever's inconvenienced or hurt them the most. Half of the struggle of MSG was the White Base literally dealing with their own allies not sending them reinforcements and proper resupplies because of petty disagreements and jealousy, since the Earth Federation had become so complacent in the status quo even in the middle of the war that they hated some non-officer nobodies upstaging them.
Zeon wank AFTER MSG is certain creators being dipshits highlighting favoritism, in between almost every other story pointing out in contrast that no one wants a Neo-Zeon, and of course the Zeon wank stories all emphasize cool people doing cool things that make them ditch the corruption up high.
Yuri Gundam, Tomboy edition
Didn't they already do this shit with bitch from uranus or whatever the fuck its name was?
That girl wasn't a tomboy.
So we made a mobile suit, and called it the GOUF
THE GOUF
WATCH OUT GUYS HERE COMES THE GOUF AHAHAHAHAHA
Who names these things
Zeon has always been the coolest all the best UC focuses on Zeon for a reason
All those space rays got to em.
Honestly, if Kamille didn't get mind broken, how much better would the timeline be? I feel like he was the one who could tard tangle both Amuro and Char into better people.
Why does he have wind in his pilot box?
How many minutes is the cunny gonna survive in nu psycho gundam?
HARO AND ZAKUS
That's just two people out of a sea of retards like Quess Paraya and Hathaway Noah. Camille can't babysit them all.
pic related
Don't mind me just another innocent AC unit.
12 rick doms will be enough to destroy this thread
How long ago?
I love how Iron Mask is basically just a self insert for Tomino for the early 90's where he continually got cucked hard.
And he constantly thought of himself as god's gift to women, which made his suffering by them all the sweeter.
bout a week
I love the pilot!
Machu loses her mom, her cushy life and her sanity next week.
To be fair, in the novel version of the Gundam, Amuro dies like a while after the halfway point, and Char basically took over as the protagonist to fight Zeon.
Curious as to why. For me, the pacing of the story and episodes were pretty poor, the animation was mediocre for about 70% of it, and the more single episode stories were pretty weak. It has very few highs, not many good fights, and Allenby isn't Domon's love interest. Yes I am holding that against the show.
kek
but seriously though whats the story behind doing shit like this to the psyco gundam?
The Psycolo Gundam is a recurring gag unit from the SD Gundam G Generation series. Its name is a play on words with the Psycho Gundam's name and the Japanese word for dice (サイコロ Saikoro?). It is literally just the head of the Psycho Gundam mounted on top of a white, mobile suit-sized six-sided die with the one pip as the forward-facing side. The one pip is large and painted red, which is traditional with Japanese dice, and it functions as a mega particle cannon. The other sides of the die are appropriately numbered with black pips which function as thrusters and missile launchers. Like other joke units in the series the Psycolo Gundam is very powerful.
Also, fortress mode is blocky as fuck.
Why did people follow this cunt in CCA anyway?
His name. Char Aznable is a hero of the OYW and one of the last remnants of their glory days as the Principality of Zeon. Spacenoids are retarded and will do whatever a big name tells them to do. They do the same shit in ZZ and Unicorn by simply dangling a Zabi in front of them. It's retarded space age feudalism.
Kill yourself.
Why people still follow the Zeon cause when Zeon has proven that they can never win, are always incompetent, and are losers in every major war is baffling
The Titans were just copying shit from Zeon's playbook. UC Gundam is just two factions constantly trying to one up each other, though Zeon did start it
The sentiment would've died off if not for Bask Ohm and the Titans doing the exact same things or worse for kicks, honestly. The Federation getting crazy motherfuckers to turn things around and be racist against spacenoids basically enabled the Zeon/Zabi dicksucking for generations to come.
CGI killed mecha anime and I'm tired of people pretending it didn't.
Didn't kamille recovered by the end of ZZ?
Sure, he retired but he could still help, maybe even contact char and help him a bit?... Do we even know what kind of doctor he ended up being? Im sure many newtypes could use a NT psychologist
Why doesn't zeon fuck off into space and just leave the earth solar system alone
The only real gripe I have with the show is that there were a few episodes that really didn't mean much, like the Canada episode or the one where Domon fights the guy from Neo India, but overall I really liked the majority of the episodes and I didn't think the animation was half bad, except for the episode where Domon arrives in Shinjuku, that one had some shit animation moments also even if some episodes weren't all that relevant I wasn't ever bored to death at any point, but I think the show has its highest point at the final stretch, when all the big plot points are being resolved, even if I think Ulube being the big bad was a tad strange, also regarding Allenby, there is an ancient saying... (from Anon Babble) "Domon chose Rain so Allenby could be our waifu"
More importantly, how the fuck he did survive zeta events and formed neo neo zeon on meantime?
Do you guys think I'll get key'd if I add Zeon decals to my car?
Just get a cybertruck and paint it red.
I like the Gundam Mk-II
Only if it's the flag.
Emblem should be fine.
Just make sure you get this one
I can't imagine if she ever meets Quess.
Because the feddies, our 'heroes' outside the trojan horse crew, were just as stupid, if not WORSE.
Gundam has to be one of the lowest IQ scifi franchises in history. Transformers and Post-original Star Wars look intellectual by comparison. I hate Tomino, and I don't get how people can actually like 90% of these shows. The original is decent for the time, but holy shit Zeta and ZZ are painful to get through, and CCA is the cherry on top of a shit sundae. Sadly they're not even bad in a funny way. I guess Tomino spent all of his funny awful on Ideon, which to be fair is one of the funniest anime ever made, I just don't think Tomino knew that.
Pic related pretty much sums up the writing for every single character in UC Gundam.
Char was a great pilot but always portrayed as a league below main characters like Amuro, Kamille, Scirocco, Yazan, etc. By the end of the original series Char is piloting the pinnacle of technology in a massive and insanely fast suit with tracking laser hands against a wildly outdated Gundam and he still gets his shit rocked. It was never his piloting skills that mattered it was his charisma, which Zeta and CCA showed by having him get his ass kicked constantly and making the biggest difference on television instead.
So whenever Origin or GQuxs portrays him as the ultimate badass I chuckle too
why do so many faggots own teslas now? i've seen more teslas this year then I'd ever seen in my entire fucking life it's all indians too
I dont own a tesla, I drive an old 2007 minivan since some cunt destroyed my regular car.
Im just saying, if you wanna get key'D, buy a cybertruck and paint it red, add zeon decals to.
outside the trojan horse crew
You take that back.
The 08th were equally good people.
Why do they call it the Rocking Horse in Kwacks. The fuck is that shit
Gwitch on SRW
People actually want see GQ cast interact with rest of UC instead.
Nice timing bamco.
The fact that he's technically right about how Earth would just repeat their mistakes boils down to the fact that even his insane ass can see it and Amuro was too optimistic, but that's the UC for you.
I have no idea why zekes keep pushing the idea the niggers on earth are the real problem
I dunno, but between Zeon, zanscare and the crossbone vanguard all fucking spacenoids governments are absolutely batshit insane.
I don't know if it's the lack of gravity or water mined from asteroid ice, but there is something going on up there that is making them act like raging lunatics.
How do you even come up with strapping a gazillion psychics to a satelite to make a giant mind melt ray that reverts everyone on earth into a mentally infantile state.
Only in later material, going through the original series and even Zeta, there's very little that shows how the Federation was causing so much harm and distress on the colonies. It's only in novels that try to justify Zeon's horseshit that you start running into really fucking comically evil Federation leadership. At least they're not the Earth Alliance in being absolutely retarded gremlins.
*throws tantrum, calls for his mommy and drops a nuke-filled asteroid onto earth*
Checkmate, gravitycucks.
and im just saying WHERE THE FUCK ARE THESE TESLA FUCKERS COMING FROM
if not WORSE
It's true the Federation is incompetent, but when they win every major battle against Zeon you can't exactly call them worse
What's the best way to watch the UC?
release order
chronological order
I don't know if adding all the OYW stuff will elevate the experience, of just cause a whiplash with Zeta.
The events of Zeta pretty much sums up why. The actions of a faction (Titans) from the Earth Federation forces has cannonically killed millions while trying to destroy any Zeon remnants/sympathizers.
Zeon killed people in the billions in the One-Year War. Parts of Earth were left unliveable and over half the entire population of humanity died. Australia was improved, at least.
No idea. I see a lot teslas around here to, but I live like right on the edge of rich people.
People always talk about story and stuff but I'm just here for cool robots and boobs
Release order for the Tomino series. So MSG > Zeta > ZZ > CCA. After that watch whatever. Hathaway after CCA would probably be good
people who recommend watching 0079 movie and then directly to zeta TV.
bruh that makes no fucking sense lmfao. you're making the guy watch like 3 hours of 0079 then just gonna whiplash him with fucking 49 episodes of zeta???
Obviously release order because this franchise was not written with chronology in mind. Just brace yourself for Zeta, it fucking blows.
I'd say release order, but watch whatever interests you the most.
want to go on a trip? go ZZ into Z into the original series
I'll find out, I haven't started the Quacks yet.
No I recommend the series over the movies. The movies cut down a lot on Ramba Ral and that's a really important bit
Name one good love triangle in Gundam.
Like that anon said.
Watch the original tomino trilogy series+ CCA and you can watch whatever.
Everyother installment within that universe only reference those series+movie.
AU series are set in an universe completely detached from the main gundam timeline, but if they for some reason make a cheeky reference or borrow ideas from other series it's always that trilogy and movie.
Original series, 0083, then just stop
Seeing bunch of fodder pop on quacks with some sort of relevancy is bizarre.
Char steals the Gundam
curbstops Feds
Dozle dies anyway
Gato probably died
Feds pull an Axis with the Solomon Fortress and Char goes BEYOND THE TIME to stop it and vanishes in a newtype explosion
Zeon "wins" but not enough manpower to rule Feds, cold war starts instead
Zeon proceeds to oppress their own people even though they won the war
literally nothing changed, in fact, the average colonist gets treated even worse than before if they were living in the poorer areas
neutral colonies get treated like shit
the Red Gundam reappears, and it's psychommu has a conciousness in it
Zeon making more Gundams and psychommu weapons
/OUR GUY/ Bask is trying to form the Titans
Watch the series until episode 31 then switch to the third movie. The last 1/3rd of the TV series sucks and the movie is much better.
CCA never would have started
Sleggar, Bright, Mirai. Bitch needed some slapping
I honestly can't even remember half of them.
Literally only recognized the tri-star dom guy.
Some I can vaguely remember like Rosamie's wrangler and the magnet coating guy, but I still can't remember chalia and appearantly this chick.
What's wrong with CCA Amuro that he needs Camille to bitch at him? Dude had already put himself back together by that point.
I bet she has a nice body
Kamille was too good for this timeline. they literally had to give him brain damage because otherwise there wouldn't be enough conflict in the universe. which is especially crazy because at the start of Zeta Kamille was on the supply side of needless conflict.
Both got dispatched by Amuro real quick, Chalia do appear a bit more on some games, but still one off character.
Tomino likes brutal, serious storytelling where swaths of characters get killed off, as well as comedic slapstick and ludicrous character moments, and sometimes he crosses the beams. It's an acquired taste but I wouldn't have it any other way
gay meme shit
If THAT is fucking off into space I'm going with her. Sorry anon. But Earth NEEDS zeek women
Gotta be careful with childhood memories. I haven't watched the full of Lodoss War yet but I was relieved it is as beautiful as I remember.
It's often fucking still-images but I don't care.
Meanwhile I watched Robotech Invid Saga clips and animation wise it was pic related.
Also forgot how god-awful trash Tenchi Muyo voice acting was for the dub.
tankfags are the spearfags of mecha
I think Amuro could have fixed Haman. Also the cripple got two bitches so it was just a threesome.
Kagato's VA was awesome.
every time they try that they get to Jupiter then some psycho takes over and decides they need to turn around and go conquer earth
Tomino likes brutal, serious storytelling where swaths of characters get killed off, as well as comedic slapstick and ludicrous character moments, and sometimes he crosses the beams.
He created Butcher the Killer.
To say the fucking least!
Its just modern artstyle.
I hope we see a different Cima. Still traumatized but not bitter
Kudelia wanting to fuck MIka was the stupidest plotline of IBO, and that's fucking saying something because IBO's plot was retarded.
re-watched the full*
G-Gundam is cute for all the silly national gundams though. Was funny having my portuguese friend get miffed at what the gooses got mech wise.
I was mainly thinking Ryoko sounding like a chainsmoking 47 year old secretary. Which if they had a good voice actress could be a cool vibe to go with but it just sounded very "Deborah from accounting".
As everyone else said, 0079 > Z > ZZ > CCA and then you're good to watch whatever. F91 and Victory Gundam are the things that happen post-CCA under Tomino's supervision, and there are plenty of side story OVAs. The AUs can be watched without watching the quadrilogy, except Turn A Gundam which I would recommend watching at earliest after the quadrilogy and ideally after you've watched a bunch of the side UC stuff too
whiplash with Zeta
ZZ isn't as bad as people make out but I would recommend not watching ZZ immediately after Zeta, take a break and watch something else so the whiplash doesn't get to you. Tomino likes doing light shows after dark shows (Daitarn 3 after Zambot 3, Xabungle after ideon etc.), and that's not a problem when they're their own stories but it does lead to whiplash when one is a direct sequel to the other. His non-Gundam stuff is for the most part pretty good, I'd recommend Ideon, Xabungle or L-Gaim if you want to watch a break show that maintains Tomino's writing.
What was up with IBO and polyamory
I can't think about this scene without laughing at the Hathaway version where he gets mindcucked. Does anyone have a webm version of this?
IBOs writing was baffling. The woman that shot women and children and conducted falseflag attacks and political assassinations was confused why people don't like facist regimes, and the child rapist laughs about child rape and gets away with it.
A reminder that Macky is atleast top 3 char clones in the series and makes IBO worth watching
Char Aznable was known as the hero of the Spacenoid cause after his speech at Dakar in Zeta, and it helped that no one who knew that he engineered the murders of the Zabis lived to tell about it.
Not really, the whole crew willing to join up with McGillis and McGillis himself having the retarded plan of using open pageantry and customs to try and take over Gjallarhorn was dumb and short-sighted especially since he was more willing to do clandestine things in S1.
He should've been the MC
Big Mack and MUH BAAAEEEELLLL was great.
He was until he went full retard
lol if i pull mecha excalibur they'll have to surrender all their political and military power to me and make me king! w-what do you mean the guy with the biggest army is just going to kill me instead?
Be dumb skirt chaser on CCA
Almost get fucked again years later on a similar scenario.
top 3
fooled no one with his "man in the mask" routine
dropped the act the moment people told him "dude we know who you are under the mask"
I dunno man. Part of being an all time char clone is being able to turn everyone around you into a retard who will buy any nonsense about your hidden identity, like Char convincing people that he's wearing a mask because of a medical condition which could have very easily been verified by looking up Char Aznable's medical history.
Kamille was seem running along with Fa on a beach at the end of ZZ, he started the series mute and stuck in a bed. He definitely improved, though how much and if it was enough to return to to how he was at the end of the Zeta isn't clear, as he doesn't really physically speak throughout ZZ.
My headcanon, and probably real canon, is that Char didn't give a a fuck about Kamille as a person, since he never visits Kamille after Zeta. He cared about the abstract idea of Kamille as representing the next generation of newtypes who would lead humanity to the future, and once this hope was dashed, stopped giving a fuck.
where he continually got cucked hard.
What? Tomino was already married and his daughters were born by that point. Hell he apparently often spends any time now not working, watching his hafu grandson and enjoying being a grandpa. Unless you mean cucked by the studio.
Quax is insane. They've even got the fucking desk clerk from the start of War in the Pocket, apparently the first OVA on-screen character for the franchise?
And he KNEW that he was going against the most evil people in the world, and challenged them to a fair fight. Rustal has entire counties turned into 3rd world shitholes for breakfast.
Tomino was cucked by the studio constantly and F91 is a good example of that
Do not believe their lies, ZZ is awful and it's barely relevant to CCA
Pretty sure he's just projecting his attempts at romancing several other women while working on Ideon and 0079 and competing with other guys on the staff, and sometimes coming up short.
IBO
I'm all for characters like challia, the titans and the cyber newtype handler from like 3 eps in zeta getting screentime. I thought there'd be more charwank, but they get him out of the way quick.
Bask going deliver.
F91 was him overextending his plans excessively, CCA was supposed to be an OVA, but then the execs wanted to dump more money into it for a movie, so instead of having a 3-4 hours to tell CCA with a smaller budget, he now had to condense that into 2 hours while having more money, but also a shorter timetable to get the story and the animation done.
unironically getting filtered when they spelled out his plan
He knew he pretty much lost the moment he realized that Gaelio somehow survived and ready to air out his dirty laundry.
Muh bael was just a last ditch effort plan to still be able put up a fight.
The show quite literally spelled it out for you.
It's hard to take the characters that complain about Earth seriously because fucking Jupiter is a MORE EVIL Zeon, making their "earth bad space good" rant worthless.
Chars Cybertruck is pretty funny
Which is funny because he helped Tekkadan take out Carta who was gunning only for a "fair fight" back in S1.
Earth bad, Jupiter good.
I don't make the rules lmao
Is Gundam Witch good? I've been planning to watch it for like 2 years now
It is if you REALLY like yuri.
Jupiter has even more gravity than Earth, it makes sense that they'd be even more weighed down by it
*attacks you*
Not really but it's not like it's the worst thing to ever come out. It's paced very badly and literally nothing happens. Just avoid the Anon Babbleposters
Ejem, I just to say that "Kamille" is a name for girls.
My family got one before Elon went full Elon, which is funny because all their left-wing friends are like "you need to sell it now!" and my mother, who is herself quite progressive, is still saying "What? I'm not taking a financial hit just because the CEO is an asshole, this car is paid off"
If you like Anon Babble sure
But as a gundam show it's pretty mediocre one of the worst AUs ever
WHAT DID YOU SAY?!?!!!
It has a very unique start, and an enjoyable amount of twists and turns, then they did the hiatus/break and rushed the rest of the story so a lot of the anti-corporatism message dies and gets replaced with momma witch going full retard with something that was barely hinted at in the first half.
He doesn't name Melanie
Coward
the prologue is good
some of the mech designs are cool
series is very mediocre and disappointing
Because it's shaped like one (apparently. I always thought it looked like a Sphinx personally)
I mean, I guess using slaves as cannon fodder, raping child sex slaves and human experimentation is bad, forcing people to work extra for no gain of their own is sort of mean... but you know what is truly evil?
slaves asking for freedom, children asking not to be raped, workers asking for workers rights
Because Zeon is a stand-in for Japan, obviously.
If you can afford the upfront cost of the vehicle, you'll be spending a lot less in electricity charging it than you will on gas.
This explains 4 Vagina
Doesn't that make Full Frontal an even bigger fool for LARPing as Char on top of having a professional wrestling stage name
Gundam 00's Marina x Setsuna x Gundam
Im experiencing the Gundam story for the first time through the sd gundam mobile game and i really like it. I want all the zakus
Too bad we didn't see much of best couple
First half and prologue is alright. Second half had to rush a conclusion so badly that things just sorta fucking happen and then resolve themselves half-heartedly.
Because Wow Cool Robot
Full Frontal is all over the place.
has the most mundane plan of any char
but also has a super doomsday reality-warping newtype weapon
Hey I came up with this idea for a clown Gundam
Great. Where are clowns from, anyways?
Uhhhhh I dunno. France? England?
We've used them both already. idfc just pick some other European country and give them the clown, nobody cares
based
Gundam 00's Exia x Setsuna x 00
Ftfy
I just started to watch Gundam but I'm getting disappointed reading these comments that the series will be only:
EMPIRE BAD
COMMUNISM AND MULTIRACIAL SHITHOLE GOOD
Kinda lame.
julietta
best anything
She literally shot giant mobile-suit sized bullets at babies.

It's funny how many old memes came from guys that posted on Anon Babble. Hell even Kajetokun, the guy who gave us OVER 9000 was an Anon Babblefag
Why not just say the Solar Furnace for Exia and 0 Gundam's Solar Furnace to make the 00 Gundam.
FACT, the 90s Gundam series all had the best opening themes.
youtu.be
old hag still around in GQ timeline.
At its worst you could call it a 7/10, the plot gets derailed near the climax so you don't really get a satisfactory conclusion to the worldbuilding going on, only the immediate plot surrounding the main cast. It just gets a lot of intense hate around Anon Babble because the double whammy of being a yuri story, and the Gundam entry following IBO which attracted a TREMENDOUS amount of shitposting retards to Anon Babble.
What's wierder is then NT happened to show they actually built more than one of those things
Kajetokun
A BELMONT IN THE CASTLE??
Anon the "Empire" does Seig Heils and their header is compared Hitler. I don't know where you got the commie and multi-racial shit from, the conflict is between earthborn humans, spaceborn humans from neutral colonies and spaceborn humans from Imperial colonies.
Guess what anon
the trannies astroturfing as yuri fans made the threads unbearable otherwise I don't think people really cared
and the Gundam entry following IBO which attracted a TREMENDOUS amount of shitposting retards to Anon Babble.
Let's be fair. There's been a tremendous amount of shitposters on Anon Babble since Destiny.
and the Gundam entry following IBO which attracted a TREMENDOUS amount of shitposting retards to Anon Babble.
That shit was forced to the point of almost being astroturfing, IBO was nowhere near as bad as the haters made it out to be, it was just really melodramatic in the way yakuza genre films are.
Technically Build Fighters started that trend, especially with how often the RG System spam bullshit in the latter half of the series, and then the complete half-ass shit that came with TRY! Pretty sure the plamo threads are where the biggest shitposting fucks congregated. Or maybe Valvrape helped, god it's been forever.
As much as I like Allenby, Domon and Rain is one of the best romances in Gundam
Damn old hag needs a Kou bf, that will fix her. Kou needs a proper girl anyway and not n*n*.
Why do people always say that shit? I was in the threads, and all I saw were people screeching about yurifags that didn't even appear to be posting. It's like they're just an excuse people use to preemptively justify shitposting.
Naturally, IBO was just the largest concentration of them at once I'd seen since the board was made.
You might as well ask what those lolis see in him. One is so infatuated she sacrificed herself for him, the other went mad and became powerhungry hag who craved for shota dick when he didn't reciprocate. He also impregnated her teenage friend but his cover was blown and the powerhungry bitch took her revenge by letting the slut die.
Wouldn't she still be a "war criminal" to both sides regardless of Zeon coming out on top as they labeled her crew such to pretend they had nothing to do with the gassing of civilians?
That just sounds like you're psyopping yourself. The fact the entire thing is a conflict between two empires and there's no communism should clue you in on this.
It was a different time
Is exia the frame or the solar furnace?
Was 0 gundam not the 0 gundam when Lasse was piloting it with the particle tank?
That's the questions we have to ask at point
Try's MC using real life or death magic is always funny to me.
other people
oh no, I lost, my gunpla has taken damage, I need to use resin to fill in the gaps
MC
almost dies several times in the story in friendly battles
The entire point of Quess is that Quess, Hathaway and Gyunei are just a repeat of Lalah, Amuro and Char showing that history can't stop repeating itself.
didn't that little chink peek at the russian lady bathing and then get shot at? i need to rewatch G gundam.
Why does IBO have such a bad rap?
I personally love misery porn, so I really liked it.
Gundam entry following IBO which attracted a TREMENDOUS amount of shitposting retards to Anon Babble.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
I enjoyed it, but the last quarter was pretty aggressively retarded. Like "i've invented the greatest war crime of all time... it's just a ballista" was always hard for me to buy, and then that gets followed by "muh bael".
Exia's the frame. Solar furnaces are just the power supply, that you can overclock when you go trans-am.
Why does IBO have such a bad rap?
It's a trainwreck anime. Somehow people just deluded themselves otherwise until it was too late, and instead of enjoying the ride they whined. I think it was absolute dogshit, but it was still fun to watch with anons.
People didn't like the whole "a ragtag group that knows only how to solve things with violence, just all end up dying violently" message even though as I said here , that's like a staple of yakuza films. They didn't die FOR NO REASON like half the characters in Valvrave
Stop trying to groom me Char
If you don't get the federation being a stand in for the Soviet Union and other communist shitholes, with the characters using an obvious egalitarian uniform like the Soviets did, I don't know what to tell you. But more importantly, an "enemy" like Zeon which is a literal fucking colony with low resources is not formidable at all. From a storytelling point, is fucking lame because the Federation already has everything on their side including the Gundam. I thought the show was building up to something better but seems that it stays in the trap in following seasons. What a shame.
If you want a feel-good "actually, authoritarianism need not be literally Hitler" show, LotGH is that way
The frame. Exia R2 and 0 Gundam have each others intended GN drive during the last battle if I remember correctly.
Someone bring back the patriarchy. Feminism deprives us of everything fun.
blabla war bad
But the communist shithole will always win
Someone should post the meme of the good guys (retards) vs the bad guys (cool as fuck)
why am I in this thread I know barely anything about gundam
Anon, you genuinely have zero media literacy and are trying to find an angle to act like you're mad about something other than the fascists being portrayed as evil.
Hag sex.
It's only a war crime if you lose.
Bring back Braiger, Stardust Memory, and 08th MS Team. I like their music.
I dunno. I think this is just typical Anon Babble reductio ad absurdum.
Because I just started watching MS Gundam, and while Zeon is always depicted as "evil" aesthetically, their leaders are, so far, basically always depicted as being good and noble people. Minus M'Quve or whatever his name is. Meanwhile the Federation are basically doing war crimes and press ganging kids into military service.
Maybe things change as I get further into it, but it seems to me that Zeon looks evil and is said to do evil things, but the leadership are all noblesse oblige and the Feddies are all incompetent bureaucrats.
for the robots
Frame, but the Solar Furnaces were sync'd to the specific Furnace, hence why they couldn't use the 00 Gundam as none of the other Furnaces could synchronize with the 0 Gundam's Furnace.
To talk about video games.
If you don't get the federation being a stand in for the Soviet Union and other communist shitholes,
Nta but...what? The Federation is just a standin for the bog standard "western liberal consensus democracies" of the 50s-70s, warts and all. Zeon on the other hand, is just straight up Imperial Japan of the 1940s, Tomino doesn't even hide that fact, he grew up in the aftermath of the devastation that Imperial Japan's warmongering brought upon his country.
Could have sworn she got her "war crime" status before the war ended, as Zeon tried to claim they were a rogue group. But once again, it's been fucking ages since I bothered to watch SM.
It's a trainwreck anime
just all end up dying violently
Thats what I like about it. I like Gungrave and Edgrerunners and Gantz for the same reason. Maybe I'm weird?
I believe people's complaint was how the story got to that point not it ending like that.
Join the club
The ability to animate the raw heft of those milkers is what separates amateurs from professionals.
At the least, I can say that rewatching Gurren had me think it was even better than I remember and I love it even more now. So I guess I just was less literate/had lower standards or wasn't developed enough yet.
They're just a bunch of dumb kids with more fighting skill than sense, where did people think it was going to end?
I mean I know where they thought it was going to end, with them getting out of it alive because no one actually wants the realistic ending, they usually suck
Giant robots are cool.
The thing about Zeon is that generally speaking it's a faction of ostensibly decent people so swept up in nationalism and blind loyalty to a cause they do unfathomably evil deeds. Their top leadership, the Zabi family, are with only a couple exceptions utterly despicable people who match the cruelest and worst dictators of history.
LotGH is okay. But it tries too hard to be historical while failing at it. I liked the Gundam tone better. Is just disappointing reading the show is going to keep trying to convince the audience to support the Federation.
More of a tank guy desu
Using media literacy unironically
Twitter/Reddit is that way --->
Maybe I'm weird?
Naw you're normal. You went into a crime flick and got an ending that wasn't "and they lived happily ever after" without being upset about it.
debating getting another Sayla figure
debating getting another Lunamaria figure (yes I know Destiny is ass, fuck you the redhead is hot)
Now I'm wondering if there's a Murrue or even Rinko figure I could buy now that I think about it.
The big problem with IBO is that everyone but the last-second asspull villain is absurdly incompetent. Everyone makes the wrong choice at every juncture, except for him, who magically makes every correct one. Tekkadan doesn't fall prey to their own lapsing morals, or violent natures, they fall prey to the fact that this general happens to have found the author's pen on the ground and is writing the goddamned story as a self-insert fanfic.
It's boring, and doesn't feel connected to the themes or character development of the cast; it's just a sledgehammer that gets dropped on them at the end.
But more importantly, an "enemy" like Zeon which is a literal fucking colony with low resources is not formidable at all
Federation's kill count of spacenoids is counted in millions, Zeon's kill count of earthnoids is counted in billions.
Gungrave has the added bonus of being a revenge story as the "current timeline" stuff is built off of the backstory backstabbery and assholery.
>debating getting another Lunamaria figure (yes I know Destiny is ass, fuck you the redhead is hot)
But Luna herself isn't a bad character, she's just stuck in a bad show
Nah don't bother
In the opening weeks of the war, Zeon kills more human beings than all the humans that have ever died up to that point, combined. They killed on such a massive scale that they beat the K/D ratio of DEATH ITSELF.
They are the most comically omnicidal faction imaginable, which is why despite any qualms the heroes have about the occasional good person on Zeon's side, Zeon is still beyond any doubt the villain.
Everyone likes Luna she doesn't really do anything wrong from what I remember and she also pilots a red Zaku.
ending that wasn't "and they lived happily ever after" without being upset about it.
I'm beginning to suspect that that IS a weird outlook. Judging by the normie crying about both IBO and Edgerunners. Hell even here there were anons writing AU fanfics where everything ended happily. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who appreciates when things end badly.
She was still taking orders from the Zeon military up to the conclusion of the battle at A Baoa Qu, regardless of whether she was considered a criminal or not.
youtu.be
"war crime" status
lol
I don't ever remembering a scene where the Zeon government held a war crime tribunal, ever
Depends, she's a character that is made to be an elite that isn't allowed to excel because she'll upstage Shinn, Rey, or Athrun when they're the focal characters, but she'll gain competency but less screentime because the focal characters are the Archangel crew.
blabla war bad
Actually gundam is not a moral tale about how war is bad.
australians don't matter
the franchise that helped Anno create his most known work
WOAH SO CRAZY THAT THEY KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT GUNDAM
Anno is literally a Tomino dickrider.
No I just mean they don't really do anything WRONG in writing her, she's a side character who's there to support Shinn and she does that
this. the conflict between Macky and Gaelio was interesting, Tekkadan trying to find a place in the world was interesting, the "oh by the way i have superior everything and i'm going to win" evil general guy was not.
She only gains competency when she gets the Impulse and the benefit of Shinn's stock footage.
Based, which figure?
It just also didn't feel interesting or poignant or well developed. It didn't even kill enough characters for a pure kill em all downer ending, it felt like it was just baiting for a sequel movie or something.
Gundam's OYW is WWII. Zeon are the axis. Japan wrote the story. You following?
She is a fucking garbage character but that's a staple on the seed franchise, I have an infinite amount of porn, couldn't care less about Lunamaria in that regard.
Rinko
based
Just like in real life, most people are NPCs.
Yeah, that's my copium too. But reading these comments + some anons saying some characters get reconnected later to look worse is not giving me any hopes. I will keep watching because the series is great even with its flaws but man I would love to finally find a series that you don't have to dickride some retarded "good guys" and let you hype the empire.
Why doesn't zeon fuck off into space and just leave the earth solar system alone
People did. And they became MORE EVIL ZEON in turn.
Could be a meme, mistranslation, reference, who knows. Original it's trojan horse(I'm not even sure why, it doesn't look like a civilian ship or anything). 0083 the main ship is the Pegasus.
The thing is that things can end in tragedy and still be thematically interesting and coherent. Rustal and the big dumb climax is neither of those. It feels like an older sibling stealing the pen from a kid writing in his journal and going "AND THEN THEY ALL CAUGHT AIDS AND DIED THE END"
I would love to finally find a series that you don't have to dickride some retarded "good guys" and let you hype the empire
Oh, you're just one of those "erm the empire should have just shotted luke to death and then the movies should've been about how the empire is a good thing, actually!" guys. Sorry man, the farmboy always wins.
The Zeon wank only started in the sidestories and shit not made by Tomino. He always intended for Zeon to be the evil faction. Its why the colony drop IS THE FIRST FUCKING THING YOU SEE!
knights and magic was so good
Probably the Megahouse red bikini one, I have her pilot suit one from Megahouse and the Seed Freedom tie-in one.
And they became MORE EVIL ZEON in turn.
It got so bad that multiple people from Jupiter's sole obsession in life was to eradicate the Earth, despite them quite literally never having even seen the Earth once in their lifetime.
Tomino showed Zeon as properly evil, the leadership at least. The grunts were shown to fight evenly with feddies once the GMs roll out. Just watch the final episodes of the original series, both sides were shown losing suits about as often.
It's only the later UC shows where every Zeon grunt was portrayed as an honorable supersoldier capable of mowing down GMs with a 10 to 1 loss ratio.
just reminds me of MSGO
It sounds to me you just want a franchise that glorifies a whitewashed, good version of nazis. You won't get that with Zeon. They killed more civilians than almost any faction in all of Gundam, save for the SRA from Gundam X which is an alternate universe Zeon.
I'm kind of mad we didn't get any real Saylawank out of this.
0083 the main ship is the Pegasus.
The ship in 0083 is the Albion. It's the newest Pegasus class ship. The White Base was also a Pegasus class ship.
Honestly felt he sowed the seeds with ramba ral. An entire arc about a dude who's incredibly noble and respectable even while serving the villains of the story, so it feels like a lot of it is just continuing that trend. They also just can't do it as good.
Every gundam side story has got the mad villain, the (at least trying to be) fairly respectable guy lower in the chain of command, and the super weapon. The fairly respectable guy is the one who leaves the bigger impact though.
western liberal consensus democracies" of the 50s-70s"
Is this the power of the so called media literacy? Half of the fucking western hemisphere were dictatorships during that period because it was the cold war. And most of these dictatorships were either instated or supported by the USA. The series was written and produced when the soviet Union was still around.
I dunno.
That other anon feels like he hit it on the head. IBO follows the classic crime story arc. I haven't watched much Yakuza films, but even western mafia films do the same thing.
Scrappy crime stuff. We get to know and love the characters who do bad stuff for a living. Things get better, they get more successful. They do something that gets them in over their heads. Everything collapses like a house of cards around them and the ending feels like a slow moving trainwreck and nothing the characters can do will stop it. Its a really common arc and IBO followed it pretty closely.
Yeah the General dude just going "nuh uh I thought of that already" feels a bit dickish, but thats part of the getting in over your head part. Tekkadan attracted the wrong enemy and got squashed.
Anon everybody but the protags are bad in gundam. There is nothing pro communism/multiracial shithole in them.
I'm beginning to suspect that that IS a weird outlook.
It's really not. It just is. Fiction in all genre is rife with tragic or otherwise non-happy endings. It just happens that for crime/gangster related flicks, endings that aren't all sunshine and rainbow is the majority. A perfect example for this is how The Graduate ends.
The thing about Ramba Ral though is that he's also clearly just a pawn in Zeon's schemes, constantly getting yanked around and underappreciated by the higher-ups, getting passed over for the Doms, and so on. He was a noble person, but it was also shown just how isolating it could be to be a good man in Zeon's military structure.
the ending is a complete fumble
That other anon feels like he hit it on the head. IBO follows the classic crime story arc.
It very much is. They even do a Yakuza "welcome to the family lets drink sake from these ceremonial plates" ceremony.
Does Keith still get amazussy in gquacks?
everything after the mobile armor really.
Rinko-mama will always have a special place in my heart (with my dick).
Honestly everyone that isn't able to die rich and get fat off of the conflicts, or be able to do as they please for crazy bullshit with a blank check, suffers in the Universal Century. Go figure, the main villains are either these exact people, or "my way or the highway" people who come to believe their factional ideologies are the only way for humanity to progress. There's never been a genuinely reasonable primary antagonist in the mainline franchise, even shit like Full Frontrol are horribly written and Bananahanger just happens to be retarded enough to almost believe him; all the reasonable people die, suffer miserably, or barely get to walk away.
You can be deliberately following an established genre beat and still fail at it, which IBO does with Rustal. He saps the struggle out of the final arc, and instead makes it a boring and utterly predictable slow roll. He's not so menacing he fills the final arc with dread as to how the protagonists can't seem to slow him down, or so clever that you feel rewarded for watching how he outwits the heroes. He just magically DOES shit and the explanation is "Well I'm just better." That is criminally boring.
post ends in 35
Go home Ral, your wife is throwing out your Gouf models.
I mean if I can pin it on any singular thing it would be MS Igloo. Even though the overarching message is still hopeless wunderwaffe desperation as zeon slides to defeat they show the federation as being bad and zeon way too good.
that glorifies a whitewashed, good version of nazis
Doesn't the HBO show do that
My problem with IBO is the same with AGE. The backstory sounds infinitely more interesting then the story we got. The Calamity War sounds metal as fuck and I would much rather have seen that show then some shit about orphan mercenaries trying to make their place in the world and failing.
even shit like Full Frontrol are horribly written and Bananahanger just happens to be retarded enough to almost believe him
I fucking hate that shit so much.
No. The Empire in Star Wars is the opposite of the Empire in Gundam.
Star Wars
Empire: super mega powerful entity that can destroy planets
Rebels: Luke and some retards I guess
In Gundam the federation is a super powerful conglomerate.
God I wanted the show to be more about 'ancient evil awakens' and everyone has to fight the mobile armors. Instead we got...ugh.
This post is no Zaku, boy, NO ZAKU.
I can't bring myself to masturbate to Rinko; her happy family with her husband and son is too precious to spoil.
Garma is depicted as being a generally nice and noble Zeon as well.
I don't think its a coincidence that the first three Zeon leadership we see are basically all proper Nobles. Char is immediately somewhat likeable, Garma is charismatic and nice, and Ramba Ral is the definition of a military gentleman. The first "bad" Zeon we see is M'Quve. Furthermore the first few direct interactions the white base has with grunts are universally just dudes either following orders or doing the right thing. Hell the White Base is doing a literal war crime hiding the Gundam in a civilian transport, meanwhile the Zeons are trying to guide a war widow home.
I don't think there are supposed to be white and black good and bad guys in MS Gundam. Later stuff? Haven't got there yet, can't comment. But so far it seems like everyone is being depicted as just trying to do the right thing as they see it.
Galactic Heroes is a better space drama than any Gundam could ever hope to be.
I wish Gjallahorn wasn't so comically evil, it makes things really silly. Gaelio's AV system is powered by the brain of a facist that wanted to kill slaves and civilians. Juliette shoots at unarmed, fleeing pregnant women and children, and at workers holding a strike. Their leaders run the mafia, the slave trade, the sex slave trade.
Well I don't think you can pin it on one thing. You had OVAs from years before like the (otherwise good) 0080 where feddie grunts just explode whenever a zeek looks at them.
even shit like Full Frontrol are horribly written and Bananahanger just happens to be retarded enough to almost believe him

AKSHUALLY THEY KILLED ONE GORILLION PEOPLE THAT'S WHY THEY'RE BAD
Let me ask you something: if Zeon had the power to kill billions of people, and the federation couldn't stop them, why they keep losing their wars when they have that much power? I assure you whatever you answer will show a failing in the writing of the series.
Sorry Rinko, I prefer another
we're still getting Netflix's Live Action Gundam
You didn't forget about that now
did ya?
Oh man, you'd fucking lose your shit over Kira not having a single retort to Rau's nihilistic rants both when he reveals Kira being the "ultimate" Coordinator or his rant about humanity's own garbage beeline for killing itself off through it's own idiocy. Or funny enough he doesn't really debate the shit from Durandal from Destiny either, and from the way some people talked about the movie, pretty sure everything Rau warned about is basically true in the end.
Those things never mattered. It's always just "I wanted the evil empire to win though..."
Remember that all this is in the context of those grunts "following orders or doing the thing" gassing very literal tens of millions of their fellow Spacenoids, that they had ostensibly been fighting to liberate - itself a war crime if you're keeping score - before dropping their now-empty colonies onto the Earth and killing over half of humanity.
If Zeon had the power to kill billions of people, and the federation couldn't stop them, why they keep losing their wars when they have that much power?
Zeon began the war with the advantage in mobile suits which allowed them to overwhelm and ravage the Earth Federation's space fleets, which were the only line of defense for how Zeon killed that many people - dropping the other space colonies onto the Earth like asteroid impacts.
People over here bitching about Rustal which is reasonable enough, but frankly the main cast were so boring in their own right.
Mikazuki isn't allowed to lose until Rustal overwhelms him at the very end, if he gets shipped into a fight he'll drive everything off or murderhobo
Orga gets this dramatic thing of whether or not Mikazuki is pushing him into worse decisions as a brotherly expectations problem, and he's the only main character of Tekkadan with a significant arc that matters to the overall plot - oops he died in the disco fever pose all the sudden, there goes our only interesting "hero"
everyone else is either just a soldier with personal issues that are melodrama dragging out a fight from being resolved, support that are there to tell the heroes the plot and angst when someone dies, or the two waifus that jump mikazuki's dick
literally EVERY OTHER FACTION is more interesting than our heroes because they actually have characters, arcs, deaths that cause drama, interconnectivity thanks to McGillis' machinations, and everyone moving to outplot each other with Takkadan being the boring intermediary of merc work that isn't very mercenary
A crime drama makes me feel upset when the characters get shit on by the end because despite knowing their dark sides, a good one still got me to root for them. The only reason I didn't root for Rustal was how terrible of a character he was, because otherwise I had no reason to give a flying fuck about Tekkadan but the two bisexual girls that wanted to get themselves filled with baby batter.
nta. but the legendary colony drop was just a surprise attack the feds werent prepared for. but now both sides are, that is why Zeon never did something like that again and that is why they didnt do any more mass murders: because they couldnt, people were already expecting them and had measures against them.
Don't forget nukes, the only thing that kept the Mobile Suit/space fleet balance was literally all the nukes the EF could use to destroy the colonies they kept trying to drop. Once they agreed to not use them, the EF kind of fucked themselves.
Bascally everyone sucked ass in IBO, the good guys are boring as sin, and bad guy pull out such a tremendous ass pull of a victory that it takes you right out
I don't mind tragic stories that end in death, but IBO's sucked
So far it's been absolute dogshit and Im scared for the future of the franchise because people seem to like it. Am I OD'ing on member berries or did Gundam USE to be a little more complex than two highschool age girls having a fight over a literal autistic retard because he's attractive?
why they keep losing their wars when they have that much power? I assure you whatever you answer will show a failing in the writing of the series.
Because ruling over something is different from destroying it, retard. You need way more logistics, manpower and more to control something over levelling it. Where do you think they get food and water from, the moon?
Not-Zeons does do what you say in Gundam X. The result is all of them suffering from thirst and starvation. The Jupiter Empire is always dying from thirst and starvation. GUNDAM GQUUUX LITERALLY HAS IT AS A MAJOR PLOT POINT OF WHY ZEON CAN'T RULE EARTH, THEY DON'T HAVE THE NUMBERS AND RESOURCES TO DO SO, THEY CAN LEVEL THE EARTH, AND IT WOULD KILL THEM AFTERWARDS.
