It also has an annoying bug in the castle courtyard where the q doesn't progress but you're supposed to just get the q item inside the castle yourself for it to progress

skill issue. the game assumes that the player is intelligent enough to use the tools presented to him while levelling. todd knew this was a mistake given that most people are fucking retarded. maybe starfield is more your speed?

the real problem is there's no way significant way to boost your melee damage. Magic is just better, go to the wizard tower and make your own spells that do like 800 damage on enemies, then raid oblivion gates (get the mod that lets you choose what sigils you want, literally no one doesn't save scum so just get the fucking mod instead of wasting time) and roll full magicka boost. Melee is only for roleplaying and when in group fights because it's impossible to aim magic without hitting an ally.

I had a bug when I came back to Kvatch to ask the captain guy for aid during the main quest, the whole courtyard was packed with high level enemies who just mauled and raped all his guys. After a long fight he just said "sure, I'll help" and sent some guys to Bruma somehow
Magic is better but do brainlets really not just fortify strength/agu and make strong enchanted weapons for gigafuck dps? Yeah you won't outdamagae your 500 damage giga rapist fireball but you can have a dagger do like 300 damage in like 7 swings. Not to mention alchemy is completely broken and you can spam poisons on an enemy if needed which is what I do against faggot Brenton enemies
for me.. it just seemed like the enchantment lasted for like 5 swings so i couldnt be bothered with the upkeep
I didn't think i was ever going to say this Skyrim is just hands down better than Oblivion. Unless you are just really into playing a mage and making your own spells Oblivion has nothing to offer. They had the opportunity to fix the "bandits in daedric gear" scaling bullshit but didn't. They had the opportunity to fix the dogshit third person combat but didn't. All it would have taken is a timed block/parry/dodge system and target lock-on.

I always enchant my gear but I'm a fortify strength (on me) and damage health/fatigue (on enemies) kind of guy.
Making a big dremora or daedroth fall down on the spot because you've fucked his fatigue will always be funny to me, regardless of real damage.

Combining even a short paralyze spell with any melee will trivialise a lot of encounters. I don't think I could ever go pure mage when there's a bunch of viable melee weapons.

I'd be fine with that kind of scaling if the guards also scaled but guards will always get slaughtered. That isn't the only place that suffers from this, it's been a million years since I last played Oblivion so I can't remember exactly where but if an Oblivion gate opens near a village after you're level 10 or so the whole village gets slaughtered because the guards can't protect it

People bitched for decades that you could fuck yourself by leveling up due to how the attribute leveling works.
So they made it impossible to fuck up by making it closer to Fallout 3-NV in the remaster where you're given a set pool of points to allocate however you want.

Even if you do it late, it is not that big of a deal unless you did nothing but upgrading athleticism and security.
They didn’t really change much. In the original game you would usually get +3 on your main atrributes per level, now you get +5. Is 2 extra points per level enough to offset the level scaling? And you can still screw up by levelling through non-combat skills.
Amazing how this game changes the way you scale attributes and shitters still somehow find ways to be buck broken about this game. just admit you are genetic trash who sucks ass at video games, lmao
KCD2 has legit the best crime system I've ever seen in an RPG, scouting Kuttenberg and planning your route through the underground during the day, then sleeping and executing your plan of raiding as many shops as possible while avoiding being seen and racing against the clock because you know you might get pinched was amazing. Shame the main story is so on-rails, I wish it leaned harder into the sandbox gameplay.
This is why I never play an rpg blind. I always look up walkthroughs, wikis and power builds beforehand to ensure I get the best experience the devs intended.

Daedra are canonically powerful. Low difficulty when fighting them would ruin the immersion. In fact, they're a lot weaker than they should be in-game since a Dremora should be on par with the main character.
