Gamers are craving for $80 games. We want it so fucking bad.
Gamers are craving for $80 games. We want it so fucking bad
hey anon did you know that you can just play video games you like and generally engage with things that bring you joy isntead of obsessing over things that don't matter to you aka shitting up the catalog with twitter screenfarts?
i'm sure the (((analyst))) thinks so. I never did and never will.
or more
they will never stop feeding what you wont resist
ooohmmmmm
oy vey!
Are these analysists Michael Pachter by any chance?
the age of buying videogames is truly over if theyre really gonna be this expensive just pirate them
bold strategy, cotton. lets see how that plays out.
the catalog with twitter screenfarts
What's a twitter? Do you mean X?
prices of goods don't matter
How retarded can you be
analysts say
subject experts say
why doing good thing actually bad for you
why doing bad thing actually good for you
article written by shekelman goldberg
I do be thinking gamers are ready for $90 games.
Fuck it, make it $200, this anal cyst says.
I always add a tip
I am not paying more than $20 for a game.
b-but Nintendo games never go that low
I emulate those lmao
Even a stupid tripfag like me won't spend over 20$ on a PC game. So why get a switch 2? I've never seen a more cucked console, and so many are craving it. Shit is insane.
fuck off faggy
all games are free tho
Twitterman says stupid shit on Twitter
publisher takes it all, unless the game is a self-published indie
based, let the developers working for large corpos starve
Only my friends get to call me that.
I'm not.
When AA studios can put out shit like Expedition for 90+ metacritic at 50 bucks I'm not willing to pay for these mediocre at best AAA games. I haven't even gotten expedition because I'm not interested in the gameplay, but it's the principle and the proof that games like that can be made and be so well received at almost half the price of AAA these days.
Feels like these big publishers are just scamming.
I always felt bad for paying $70 for Nintendo games because it felt like I was literally stealing from them so I'm very thankful for the price increase
Please, sirs, I WANT to pay more! I want bigger games! Reward me with bigger games if I pay more!
I want shorter, more expensive games with worse graphics made by people who are paid more to work less and I’m not kidding
less content
less polished games
less original ideas
less risks
more micropayments and services
more mass dumbing down
AND they want us to keep paying more for this shit
the perfect recipe for another crash brewing
I think game price increases were inevitable. I never once in my life expected games to stay at $60 forever and I think anyone who did doesn't understand how money works.
bro why are you defending companies
Don't get me wrong. This is corporate greed. Everything they sell you is inherently corporate greed driven because all companies exist to make money. But of all things, it was clear none of them were charging more than $60 because they didn't want to be the one who did it. But that dam had to break by the nature of how money works, and it did.
I don't think the crash is happening. Gamers will pay.
I refuse to pay $80 for a game. I refuse to pay $70 for a game. I was already not a fan of paying $60 as it was. Why the hell should I, they all go on sale for $10 in three months anyway.
lmao ur poor
I just spent $200 on literal unironic toys yesterday
Based.
I'm sure people are. Majority won't be tho
I never once in my life expected games to stay at $60 forever and I think anyone who did doesn't understand how money works.
I figured they'd stay at $60 and the constant barrage of DLC, microtransactions and loot boxes/battle passes was the industry's compromise.
Raising the base price is a foolish idea that won't end well for anybody not named Rockstar or Nintendo. And I'm not 100% sure they'll get away with it either. It reminds me of gas prices a bit. I'm sure it's different everywhere and in some place like california people are used to getting fucked and paying a million dollars every time they go to the pump, but where I live even at its absolute worst everyone plateaued hard at $3.99. People weren't willing to push past the $4/gal barrier because they knew it'd start an uproar. And that's something people need to function in society, not a fucking video game.
Thinking Nintendo games ever go on sale
Man I member him. Not that modern Anon Babble election tourists do.
It's be one thing if they weren't getting worse in every way, selling out to everyone, and carving off stuff left and right.
Games being donation driven would mean you could donate more
obvious ragebait article
twitter thread
GTFO
How are they such cucks? Like, what went wrong for them to be that way?
Yes, pay 80. Pay 100. Make it 200.
The industry average is only playing 3 games per year. Last year I played about 30, which means for every one of me there were 14 people that literally only played CoD. They'll bitch but they'll probably just pay extra for the only game they're going to buy anyway. The industry has reached a zero sum game though, so AAA will have to compete to be the thing the normie buys. Maybe they'll pay for CoD and GTA and not buy the next Sony movie game as a result. It's gonna be a fun decade, at least.
all the industry kikes are just working together to force it.
said """analyst""" might not even exist, it just adds the ground work for the price raise.
same with the journos going "oh my god I would totally pay a hundred dollars for GTA slop".
Based.
not just twitter man. former blizzard CEO.
actually plays videogames but is a quintessential shiteater who sees no problems with what most people see as one.
Who the fuck still buys games? The only games u should've been buying are online ones
I haven't paid full price for a game in literally fucking years.
Waitbros, we ALWAYS win
I think Nintendo is about to reach the fuck around and find out territory.
$80 is too high.
It's hilarious how every "game journalism" site is in Nintendo's back pocket
We have already had $80. Why would you not buy the $100 Like A Dragon: Super Nigger In Kazakhstan digital super deluxe version over the $70 regular release?
In fact, they should charge $200 base price for the privileged to play a game that kino.
I'm not paying $80 for Open World Mario Kart sorry Anal Cysts
They probably drew straws at the last circlejerk event to see who raises it first.
Yes... the sheep are ready. Charge them a extra $20 for access to the base game only.
bro everything just gets more expensive forever
YOU are a retard
He's right. God, I want to spend so much money on video games. I say we increase the price by triple!
TWO
HUNDRED
FIFTY
DOLLARS
FOR A STANDARD EDITION GAME!
TRIPLE FOR SPECIAL EDITIONS!
(((analyst))) says
still not buying, don't care for this "analysts" shekelmancy
I hate hearing people bitch about game prices here. Like anyone here pays at launch.
Everyone here pirates everything, or only buys during a steam sale.
It’s different because Nintendo games never go on sale.
Wasn't he one of the dudes at Blizzard who was outed as a sex pest?
That's why I'm a price raising advocate, so that my lack of a contribution can get made up for by the common man.
said (((analyst)))
God forbid, people voice their concerns about anything. We must praise and be content with everything no matter what to avoid hurting the poor suit's feelings.
I am never spending more than $20 on a computer game, and never buying one outside of a sale
I am fine with complaining about all the anti-consumer bullshit (game cards, paid demos, etc)
The price complaints are just so reddit.
(((analyst)))
They can charge $100 for all I care, everything I play is free.
Holy shit, my ptsd
I unironically want them to start charging more. Normalfag goyim deserve to be bled dry.
You’re gay lol
Man... I wish I could give MORE money to game companies that have only gotten worse over the past 20 years...
Tendies aren't people
I am if nothing else patient. I will wait for a crack, emulators, and jailbreaks. I'm voting with my wallet and refuse to support Nintendo financially.
Learn the word fewer.
fewer content
kek
All the talk about $80 games, i feel used to it already. Im kinda ready for $90. $80 feels normal and $90 would feel like the premium product.
THe title should be people are willing to pay 80 dollars for Nintendo games.
$80 isn't enough. The more I pay for games, the better I know the game will be. The price is higher for a reason.
$80
lol most people are already paying over 100 bucks for games if you consider the base game is usually 60-70 + 15-30 dlc and if you're on consoles you can add another 20-60 bucks for online multiplayer depending on the platform. Gamers are getting jewed up the ass tho.
Let me guess, you kick and scream, shitting yourself, whenever nintendo shuts down an emulator and start going “b-b-b-b-bu-but preservation” with tears in your eyes
I feel peace knowing i simply won’t buy. I hope others will follow but im not holding my breathe, i simply have my own peace in keeping my money
Everyone is playing F2P games, meanwhile our $70 slop keeps flopping!
What should we do?
I know! Lets raise the prices even more!
Enjoy missing out on the latest Zelda and Mario games.
$200 for Grand Theft Auto VI
games have ALREADY been 80$, because the 60$ price tag came with 20$ dlc (cut content) + microtransactions
I do love those games but i wouldnt be able to enjoy them at that price. I would only think about my empty bank account and risk of not feeding myself.
I havent played Windwaker or Mario Galaxy, my backlog is big enough. Im a retro only nintendo player moving forward
And most people would get standard. And Nintendo didnt do this model. And now deluxe will got $100
Fully agreed. Just fucking deal with it man. $80 games are here to stay and we like that. If you don’t like it, just don’t buy it man. Just fucking deal with it dude.
Bros? I think we deserve to pay $120 per game. Game development costs keep climbing, it's only fair we pay this much for a solid 8 hours of entertainment.
