Holy shit guys

holy shit guys

Why did Peach have a cannon installed on her front yard?

Where's Mario?

A castle should.

welcome to boundary break

They should have put hyper-agressive sharks in the bottom-right pool. To teach the children fear.

all that water is peach and his servants piss

woah

I liked that the castle was in Mario kart 64 and you could drive off the track to explore it

would you not do that if you were the ruler of the mushroom kingdom?
you never know when bowser is gonna pull up in a flying ship. he's been known to do that

So is it canon that the castle is located in Royal Raceway?

To get to the roof, obviously. More for contractor toads than royalty.

what they eat?
how food get castle?
where farm?
where town and peple?

How the hell did Nintendo get away with this???

Oh it looks like a N64 from the top down kinda.

Food.
Underground network of pipes and above ground pathways, as well as via magical teleportation.
Countryside.
Not pictured.

Yyyyup, you see this fracture in the concrete here? You're going to have a lot of foundation issues, Princess. Lots of subsidence. I'm surprised the Royal Engineer signed off on letting you build this place right in the middle of this waterflow.

If you were smart, you'd do the same.

Why did bowser put her in the window?

Why was the map so heavily weighted to one side? Large chunks of the map just have no reason for you to ever go there.

Good exploration requires dead space to an extent

First ever 3D platformer for a lot of people, it was so you could explore at your leisure and learn the ropes a bit, like an optional tutorial.

missing some points

OHNONONO, HE NEVER PLAYED THE GAME

almost makes me want to play killing floor

YOS III

Large chunks of the map just have no reason for you to ever go there.

First 3D game for a lot of players. Better give them space to try all the jumps & shit, with ample space for the camera.

I really liked when they used to hide the fact you were in a video game empty void.

This game is pure evil.

I can't believe I fell for the "Waluigi in Mario 64 DS" myth when I was a kid. I even used Action Replay to go under the map to try find the black box.

doesnt know you can do a trick on the right side of the map to get to the roof early game

Why is Yoshi fucking around on the roof doing fuckall?

I too can only enjoy video games that are entirely comprised of hallways

it's bullshit you can't ride him. it'd have been easy to program.

Next to Mario World Mario, Mario 64 Mario is Mario at his PEAK strength. He does NOT need any assistance at all.

He's a one man army, and his subordinates know this.

how dare it have perspective-correct tecturing?!

Is it true the underground area is full of Peach's farts

It’s canon

his

You know how North Korea allegedly executes high level individuals who fall out of favor with artillery and anti aircraft guns instead of firing squad to send a message to potential dissidents?

AAIIIEEEEE SAVE ME NIGGERMAN
HELP ME BILL COOPER
THE MASONS ARE COMING TO GET M-ACK

How did Bowser's sub fit into the moat?

Phallic symbol.

They dont do that

I didn’t hear any rumors about it and still thought he was in the game. Mario Luigi and Wario are all in the game, so obviously Waluigi must be too. There’s even an extra door where you change characters.

find secret amphitheater in m64

spend days looking for it again

never find dream level

Fuck me, those tiles are hot.

I still remember Luigi's 25yo birthday by that yard on the yard.
Or when Peach invited everyone for outdoors lunch, all the tables by the leftmost area.
The time everyone went dipping during summer by that waterfall.
And when the lake's surface froze on winter and everyone went skating on it.
Toadsworth announcing a grandson on that front yard is also a memory I'm fond of.

IIRC the rumor started because the manual has a screenshot of an unused purple rabbit.

At 119 stars only there is an owl in one of the trees that takes you to the castle outskirts

He's in

Is there a romhack that keeps the levels almost identical, but adds little things here and there? For example, you dive into that lake next to the castle that doesn't have a fucking thing in it, but you discover an entrance behind the rock that takes you to an underground cavern...
I wanted something that gave the impression that it's the same game as before, but that I'm discovering things that I didn't discover as a child.

he doesn't know about the "toadstool"
