It's the fanfiction guilty pleasure route. It only gets worse the more you think about it.
Ah I can kinda get it. I attributed it to nobody trusting Takumi from the start if he kills Eito, and then Gaku and Kurara get it too and then they’re forced to play a game where someone dies every week or 2 it made sense to me that a lot of characters changed under this high stress situation and also didn’t want anything to do with Takumi and his bad decision making ass. It’s certainly edgy but I enjoyed seeing the character dynamics turned around and maybe because I’m not too big a critical thinker I was also turned against everyone and resenting everyone right along with Takumi. I could buy Tsubasa’s attraction since he’s the leader, he’s getting everyone through a tough situation, he’s helping her out specifically because he’s the best killer, and also he got to show off him being a solo killing machine now after being helped by Yugamu. Plus they’re spending a lot more personal time with each other every day than other routes.
I think the most surprised by their change to me was Takemaru. It felt a little strange he became so strongly against Takumi after seeing him in pretty much every other route where he’s just a bro.

okay but it’s still stupid that with how much she’s supposedly in love with Takumi to the point she destroyed an entire timeline to have a cute moment with him, and kissed him at the end, and they both remember that shit in SF there is no goddamn romantic anything in! She treats Takumi worse in SF than the other routes, the one that wants to share her pain and has all the same experiences as her. He made her cry at the beginning when he gave her the figurine and he got her to believe again. And then not an ounce of affection towards the man she supposedly loves on the route they spend every day together on she’s just mean. All Tsun almost no dere. And then you don’t get to know more about her personally either or get to see her more vulnerable sides, those are also on the other routes and right before the lock! That’s all you get! Vhex's powerlevel is wildly inconsistent, She was somehow able to kill Takumi in one of her route's endings after letting Takumi absorb every single SDU student AND commander. Keep in mind that Takumi is able to overpower the intercept system, which is significantly more powerful than Vhex, after only absorbing the SDU members (and fewer ones at that), and in this route Vhexness only absorbed like 3 commanders and Darumi.
Chucking Kako-G into a different timeline fucks everything up. Unless "breaking" the loop deletes everything that happens within it, she will remain a problem, since she is never really dealt with. A zombie apocalypse tier brain parasite ayy lmao that is also hyper advanced and immune to the setting's power system is a gigantic fucking issue. But I guess we can ignore it right now.

I did however only do that after hitting the lock and seeing it wanted me to hit 4 endings and another lock and I was not going to sit there and try to get them randomly so I said fuck it lemme see where to find em.
If you don't enjoy it, take a break, or drop the game. I've finished the "main" routes last week, it was very tiresome, but I was pretty bored, so I did them anyway. Using shit like CE's speedhack helps a lot, especially if you have to go through the mandatory skip-battle-but-not-really-skip-battle shit.

The thing that makes something feel like fanfiction, in my view, essentially comes down to a question of how retarded and OOC the characters behave. Not whether it feels like a "good" or a "bad" ending or whatever. I can't really recall anyone in Retsnom acting wildly out of character, no more than they do in Second Secnario, anyway.
People shit on routes like Killing Game because literally no one is behaving sensibly or in line with their basic established personalities and motivations. It's so jarring and hot seeing Nozomi become a mommyfag out of nowhere, for example.
