Hollow Knight. Same kind of shit, a really garbage metroidvania that completely fails at everything that made the genre good, and is overrated by retards who have never played another one.

Outer Wilds is a decent 7/10, but Hollow Knight is an absolute joke of a 4/10.

Any game that has any theme except gameplay as the core concept is midwit core.

Every “mystery” in that game has a dogshit answer to it. What killed the nomai? Oh a random rock full of green space cum (this will never be explained or elaborated on). What is the dark bramble? Lol just a random pocket dimension slowly eating the universe (but it doesn’t anyways because you see the universe end). What is the significance of the quantum moon? Lol it’s just a moon around the eye. Nothing in this story connects to each other, none of the mysteries are worth solving, and the eye just being a universal reset button basically has no bearing on anything you discover in the game whatsoever. It’s literally just a bunch of random ideas strewn together with zero connective tissue.

The story and its delivery are terrible because the lead designer hired his sister to write the story. So she wrote irrelevant character drama instead of world building and logical breadcrumbs. Also the key puzzles you need to "solve" to beat the game are terrible, ash twin project is the obvious example. I still respect the effort but it needed better writing and better puzzles.

i enjoyed the idea that the puzzle is technically solvable at the outset of the game if you knew exactly what to do. but you need to explore the world to put those pieces together (and you dont even need to the entire picture to complete the game). in this sense outer wilds was a true exploration game in way many others are not. but man some of those puzzles were tiresome. i declined to play the dlc

How has the hateboner for this game last this long? Some months ago I remember some thread talking about the game when the usual contrarians showed up and had to shit post and accuse reddit here and there.
Now I can understand that how it usually goes for every game
discussion thread regardless of what the game in question is, but what I do not understand is why are there random threads hating on this specific game being created every now and then. It is as if they have a personal issue with it and they vent here by making these threads.
