Ubisoft tried making a new Rayman game in 2007 and 2013 and cancelled both of them. Expect this to be silently cancelled.
Rayman 4 might as well have been a proof of concept with how little it actually had put together. But they did use the rabbids in the handheld games as part of the story and those games are still platformers.
Didn't the rumours/leaks say this was just a remake of an existing Rayman game and not a brand new game?
