At the end of the day how was he relevant to the overall plot?

IMG_9695.jpg - 719x720, 74.15K

He was REALLY important to Maelle so more than most characters, given that she and Verso might as well be the only two characters who matter.

Not at all because the entire point of the game was about desandre family members only and lumierians are just side characters and its ok if their children die

wdym without him the Riddler might have flooded Gotham

He got people soijacking in the first hour when the game still had gravitas

I like the theory that Gustave physically looks like a young Renoir with real life Verso’s personality.

He's definitely some kind of amalgam of the Desandre men, which is why Maelle wanted to fug him. She's a hopeless incestfag.

Incest shit aside. There is definitely something there. Heck, Gustave looked a lot like real life Verso

IMG_9725.jpg - 1170x919, 1.04M

didn't this guy get killed by voldermort?

He's pivotal to the plot and is an amalgamation of the real Renoir and Verso's personalities. He's the best father and brother Maelle/Alicia had, in a literal sense because he's the best of both worlds. Intentionally done by the writer to hit us with the same feeling of loss the Dessendre family feels after losing Verso.

if lumiere and gustav weren't important, the ending wouldn't be so conflicting and one-sided

In gameplay too, Verso just straight up replaces Gustave in every way except for his central mechanic. The fact that they fight 90% the same way means they're definitely based on the same person.

So what wrote? But when do they point they out? I think it would have been a nice twist if they actually revealed that Gustave was an amalgamation of Renoir and Verso.

This, without him Maelle would probably hate her life in Lumiere too and see it as not much better than the real world.
He's also extremely important to humanize the painting people and does it better than Sciel or Lune.

I still don’t understand why they had to kill him? Would have been nice to see him and Verso becoming bros

solely to make me laugh my fucking ass off

Maelle’s character arc

I miss him bros

Aline really love her son

so much so she made Paint Renoir wear it

Makes you think.

PRenoir had massive Aura

Don't worry. If some of the dev play any Atlus RPG, they might copy the : ADD NEW GIRL DLC that dramatically change the story And it will still not be Gustave!

Remake Girls.png - 2491x1160, 1.78M

Why did they hire Charlie Cox for it

WHY DIDN'T MAELLE BRING BACK GUSTAV AT THE SAME TIME SHE BROUGHT BACK LUNE AND SCIEL reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Because she didn't have his chroma, since he died somewhere else.
This also shows you that the people she brings back are the real deal and not just copies.

They should have had an optional sidequest when they did try to bring him back and Maelle realizes she can’t do it until she defeats her father.

I liked the general vibe of not over-explaining stuff. Made my brain feel all tingly when figuring stuff out for myself.

Me too.

Clair Obscur soundtrack is good in the worst way possible. It's good in the moment, but I never once thought "I should save this song for later." It's no Corridors of Time or Pushing Onwards. It's just shit that sounds good in the heat of the moment.

without his lumina converter, no expedition would ever reach the paintress. the closest were the 60s but i view them as THE gag expedition anyway. also verso and monoco kept on jobbing left and right without the lc tech that chadstave invented.

hasn't listened to Lumiere or Une Vie à t'Aimer for hours on loop

It's good in the moment, but I never once thought "I should save this song for later."

Meanwhile my 2nd monitor ever since beating the game:

I understand french though.

Painting lives don't matter. They should vanish as soon as they become inconvenient to the canvas or their creators. Every single one of them can die agonizing miserable deaths if it would spare Aline, Verso, or Alicia even one second of pain

I don't think that's how it works. Maelle says that people killed by Nevrons have old chroma and that they can't be revived. Only the people that Gommaged can be brought back because their chroma is collected and stays pure

This. Both endings confirm that as fact

A couple of melodies stood out enough that I wanted to listen to them again on their own. But I think only this one has the staying power that I'll want to hear it again even years down the line

youtube.com/watch?v=f1p4u6oEfe0

So pretty.

actually knows french

either you're a faggot (actually french) or colonized (brown)

link every song here

This is a good song, but it still feels so "tied to the moment." I think that's the issue with every song in the game. It's not inherently bad to fit this category, and I don't think a video game's soundtrack is lesser for being less listenable outside of the game, but it is something that matters a lot to me personally. I think my whole top 25 have multiple tracks that I enjoy listening to outside of playing them.

If you're limiting it to plot, then Maelle joins Expedition 33 because Gustave does, and Maelle being present lets everything else happen.
If instead of plot you broaden the question to be about the story in general, then there's more to talk about, because I think Gustave's character and POV are more important with regards to theme and tone than they are to the plot.

Maelle dies at the end of act 2 sooo..

Gaining additional memories doesn't kill you.

bring the Bury the Light guy in to do backing vocals

Based based based

I'm on act 2. Am I just supposed to skip every side mission to not overlevel myself? I haven't played since getting Monaco because Duelist and the ice man feet whatever it was called were really fucking easy.

It's the Twilight princess dude.

That was also devs laziness. they wanted to recycle 90% of his animations.

Memories are all you are so yes gaining 80% different memories in a split second would indeed kill the previous you.

She pretty much found out that she is a God. If you find out you're a God do you expect me to believe that your current life isn't gonna change so much you might as well have died and were reborn as a new person?

lure men in with handsome, white, male protag

bait and switch fuck you shortly after

but uuuuh heres some pedo bait to keep you fucking orbiters hanging on

and you all fell for it.

No, not really. He got fridged right at the end of act 1 and doesn't really come up again afterwards. He's just there as a bait and switch and to help introduce us to most of the actual main cast.

Overlevelling doesn't matter in Act 2 because you have a damage cap. For Act 3 you will be overpowered no matter what you do, unless you're purposefully trying to make your chars shit

Well that's god damn gay, am I just supposed to not do any thing against bosses if I want to see their movesets?

Maelle is 16. she can legally fuck who she wants.
the only pedo thing about the game is that they removed her breasts and made her look more like a child with the swimsuit skin.

Strong motivative figure and has the player yearning for the side to protect his him and the lumierians.

My advice for most games is don't bother levelling up or using upgrades unless the game is getting too hard. That's how I played and I didn't become too OP until after doing Act 3 side content

The damage cap doesn't really make a lot of sense when they also deliberately pepper the area with mini-bosses way high in level than you early in the game. It's not uncommon to just walk up to an enemy and get wombo combo'd into oblivion because you weren't meant to fight it just yet....but here it is, right in the act 1 beginner areas.

If you're playing on Expert in Act 2, you'll see every boss' full moveset, even if you're consistently hitting the damage cap. For Act 3, you should beeline for the final boss otherwise you'll be hideously overpowered.

That's what I've had to do throughout the whole game.
RPGs are shit. they need to solve this problem.

He invented the Lumina converter which was essential to the expedition's success.

He was there to fulfill the writer’s barely disguised Robert Pattinson fetish

He's the designated nice character that dies to show the audience how DEEP and MATURE this narrative is

you get another white male protag the instant the first one dies tho

Indeed it's a shame it had to be a video game in the end

I really haven't, at least with Dualist.
Or rather I got blindsided by that blood clone move of his before I killed him because he was on a sliver of health. I don't know what I did to verso to make him so stupidly powerful.

bury the light was ruined when I realized he has some sort of lisp

Une vie à peindre 11:00
Une vie à t'aimer 11:00
Une vie à rêver 11:00

Summing to 33 minutes. Clever.

The only thing I don't like about his death is the fact that no other party member dies again
I hate this trope

look the main character died. Nobody is safe. Scary

actually everybody was safe and nobody else died :)

Technically they did in the best ending.

V*rso needs to rot in hell for eternity.

Maelle dies when she gets replaced by Alicia.

At the end of the day how was he relevant to the overall plot?

He was the glue that binded everyone together.

Verso getting him killed then betraying his sister is what leads to the two dogshit tragedy endings, so he's relevant there.

How do you react without sounding mad?

Asmon plays like a retard, missed a bunch of Act1-Act2 side content, didn't do any Act 3 side content and one shot the final boss at level 60 with level 19 weapons. The Act 3 balance is fucked from the start

Is that how the angloids pronounce it?
have you tried reading

watching youtube niggers

nevermind, i'll let you go back to your cockroaches

I one shot Paintress. Renoir just before her gave me more trouble. Final boss took me 2 tries with a hodgepodge of level 15-20 weapons at level 56ish.

He cheesed me so I cheesed him. Second time I fought I just big bell'd him. Owowowow. Big bell. Get donged.

Alicia says Gustaves chroma isn't pure and is stuck inside him or whatever somewhere near the start of Act 3 when the expedition asks if she can revive Gustave. Gustaves chroma did not get gathered by real Renoir, Gustaves chroma isn't part of the pure chroma you get control of in the Maelle ending. The Gustave in the Maelle ending is fake or the writing in the game is shit

*chuckles and pulls out my gun*
Hesitation is defeat, Simon-kun

I understood it as the epilogue Gustave is like the resurrected Gestrals. Basically a clone with none of the memories so not really the same person at all.

Niggerjeet zoomer spam thread

Alicia says Gustaves chroma isn't pure and is stuck inside him or whatever somewhere near the start of Act 3 when the expedition asks if she can revive Gustave

They didn't say that. Alicia says that Renoir has control of all the Chroma but the others mentioned that Gustave noticed that the dead expeditioners' chroma was still trapped in their bodies and that they could use it. Then Maelle says it isn't pure so she can't bring them back like she did those 2. Nevrons exist to kill expeditioners and deplete the Paintress' chroma supply. Stop misremembering things.

The chroma isn't old because the person was killed by a nevron, it's old in a chronological sense, it's just literally a long time ago that it got trapped. Gustav got got a couple weeks ago so he should be fine.

she looks more bunda with the other swimsuit

I wouldn't go as extreme as that. Epilogue Gustave is like Painted Verso. Painted Verso is Alines memories of Real Verso. Epilogue Gustave is Alicias memories of Gustave

I would say epilogue Gustave is like Lune and Sciel, same person. (without getting too philosophical about it). She was able to gather their chroma and repaint them and they restarted with all their memories (including ones Maelle wouldn't be aware of), seems like she would do the same with him.

I want to believe that but I just can't make it fit with their behavior considering the atrocious state of Lumiere in that ending. They wouldn't be acting so happy.

It looks to be some ~10 years later (judging by the characters aged appearance) so it's pretty open ended why they doing what they're doing or acting how they acting.

From what I understood the Gommage is Renoir gathering Chroma. If you don't get Gommaged Renoir doesn't gather your Chroma so it will not be pure. Since Gustave didn't get Gommaged his chroma is not collected by Renoir.

Pretty sure the Gommage is Aline recycling her oldest creations to have enough chroma to stay in control of the Canvas.

Sciel and Lune are the same people because their chroma was pure. Gustave isn't because his chroma was not pure. That is my understanding of it

I could see that except its said over and over that Maelle is a dogshit painter and Aline is the best of the best. I don't see how its possible she created an entire new Gustave from her memories that is anywhere close to what Aline was able to accomplish with Verso.

the others mentioned that Gustave noticed that the dead expeditioners' chroma was still trapped in their bodies and that they could use it

That makes no sense btw. They were killed by nevrons, who are designed to corrupt chroma (and tip the scales over to Renoir's side)

Then who gommages everyone when she is kicked out after the second act

Fair enough, I just don't see why his chroma would be impure since he died very recently.

In Act 3 Maelle straight up says she can't bring Gustave back since his Chroma is already gone and mixed up with everyone else's, outside of Lune and Sciel, who's Chroma she instantly picks up before it can get mixed, and obviously Verso, they are all just gross approximations of what Maelle thinks they are or wants them to be like.

Chroma is basically the paint they are made up from, if you have exactly the same paint you can replicate them fairly faithfully, but once it gets dumped back into the bucket together with lots of other paint you can't really separate it again.

I think Gustave Chroma might be good enough as well as everyone not killed by Nevrons. If I recall correctly, Renoir murdered E33 so their Chroma wouldn't be wasted, which means that by defeating the Paintress, Maelle SHOULD have the Chroma of Aline and everyone who returned to her. Everyone killed by Renoir via Gommage I think gives their Chroma to Renoir, who was defeated at the end of the game. So she can bring everyone back except those killed by Nevrons.

Lune says that the dead Expeditioners have chroma in their body because they never dissipated like people do in the Gommage. The petals are Alines doing but the Gommage itself is Renoir taking the chroma I think

No, she said her father controls that chroma, but once he leaves it's up for grabs.

He really looks like a faggot

If I recall correctly, Renoir murdered E33

He killed a few. The rest were killed by nevrons from the Dark Shore.

They make a huge fucking point out of these re-painted version of the characters not being the same I don't know how you could possibly think they are lmfao

Lune and Sciel are the same

Painted Renoir, Alicia and Clea are far better than their real counterparts, so I'm team paint here.

Why did he manifest a gun when he could just shoot niggas with magic from his hands?

Yes anon but Sciel and Lune had Alicia pick up their chroma immediately after death before anything else
They literally go out of their way to say that's the only reason it was possible

That seems to be a contradiction, no? Reread the Sacred River quest dialogue.

Yeah and when that happens the point is clearly emphasized that its a one time thing.

Looks hard

Paint Clea might have been a happy, cheerful girl that Aline always wanted

No wonder Clea was so harsh to her.

pure chroma means you stay the same when you get revived. Noco was acting like a lobotomised retard after being revived. Sciel and Lune were acting normally. The Sacred River revival isn't the same as the Paintress chroma revival

Untrue.
Immaterial.
Untrue.

Ppl are not gestrals

Did you even play the game? The Gommage is caused by Real Renoir/The Curator.

gommaj is alines thing and it only erases alines things which is why nevrons and axons stay alive and why simon stay alive etc etc
gommaj is basically aline taking a massive shit then flushing it down inside india and lumiere in this game is basically india, and the waters surrounding it.

That doesn't really make sense, why would Renoir do let the Nevrons do that? I thought he wanted to send the Chroma back to Aline rather than have it stuck by Clea.

They were killed by nevrons, who are designed to corrupt chroma (and tip the scales over to Renoir's side)

The chroma is trapped in their bodies so the Paintress gets weaker over time. The weaker she gets the less control she has over her older creations which is why Renoir is able to gommage younger and younger people as the number goes down.

Not even the same method of revival.

gommaj is alines thing

gommaj is basically aline taking a massive shit then flushing it down inside india and lumiere in this game is basically india, and the waters surrounding it.

These are the types of people debating the game's story

why would Renoir do let the Nevrons do that? I thought he wanted to send the Chroma back to Aline rather than have it stuck by Clea

He doesn't. Expedition 33 lands on a beach infested with level 70 Nevrons. The reason he kills them on sight is because they would have been killed by the Nevrons anyway, and at least if he kills them Aline gets their chroma back
Renoir isn't letting the Nevrons do anything, he is in a rush to kill E33 before the Nevrons do

It’s a plot hole. There’s no reason for Renoir/Paintress to not explain who really does gommage to people of Lumiere and sic future expeditions on fake Clea or real Renoir in Renoir’s drafts instead.
That’s basically what expeditions 60 almost did

so why doesn't Painted Renoir go and kill everyone in Lumiere? That way the Paintress gets all the Chroma and Renoir has nobody to Gommage

He fucked Maelle

New cope just dropped.

There’s no reason for Renoir/Paintress to not explain who really does gommage to people of Lumiere and sic future expeditions on fake Clea or real Renoir in Renoir’s drafts instead.

Not enough space on the monolith to write all dat
Like writing on a burned CD back in the day, but you'd misjudge the space and make the letters smaller and smaller as you go

Writer wanted to be edgy and piss people off like GOT

game director wanted have his own subverting expectations moment.

The discussion around this game has made me depressed. My only solace is the fact people smarter than me probably feel the same way about me as I do about these dimwits so at least I'm not suffering alone.

They can and did fly or swim to Lumiere to explain in person. Verso was continuously visiting Lumiere, fake Renoir can do it too

why doesn't Painted Renoir go and kill everyone in Lumiere?

Gustave tells his apprentices to look after the "dome" so I guess Lumiere has some shield that keeps Nevrons and such away. Gommage goes through anyway because real Renoir has admin rights

I think the Paintress does explain the ones that manage to reach her. Expedition 60 somehow found out the Paintress wasn't the one doing rhe Gommage and that it was The Curator.

He's also important to the plot because he developed the lumina converter. Although that has very little importance to the story on wider scale.

Because that would make too much sense.

Verso was continuously visiting Lumiere

Except he wouldn't tell the truth to anyone because he's allergic to not being a lying nigger, he got Expedition Zero killed over this.

His invention let them all finally get to the paintress

Renoir was one of the people that built the dome though

Real Renoir.

Jesus Christ this game sucked, anyone hyping it as an all time great is retarded.

He forgot his password

He didn’t tell the truth because he wanted to die so his goal was to kill the paintress, so same goal as expeditions.
Fake Renoir’s goal was the opposite. So no reason for him not to go back to Lumiere, recruit an army, then kill fake Clea to stop nevron production, then raid Renoir’s drafts and kick out the real daddy from canvas. After that Aline could’ve resurrected everyone

okay then leave and stop seething retard

look i dont know how else to explain to a illiterate 4th worlder.

gommaj = alines = only affects alines creations including lumiere (further referred as india). simply as. its her periods, other defecation, etc. one time a year it has to come out there is no other way around it. even if shes not hitler like maelle she cant avoid whats natural which is flushing her shit down into india as i mentioned in the first comment. you should know how your dad takes nasty shits every morning and you build a resistance to it so thats why family is protectant vs her gommaj. for further proof visit lumiere and use your eyes to notice the blue things left in odd spots everywhere.

Aline's whole goal is to recreate Lumière in the painting and live with her family, the mansion is not enough, she want Lumière to thrive but has to sacrifice them to maintain her hold on the canvas.

Gustav's plot is being an intrusive thought that never goes away. Whenever Gustav is off screen, you're meant to be asking "Where is Gustav??"

There's a dome protecting Lumiere from Nevrons. This dome was built by Painted Verso and Painted Renoir (dialogue with Lune reveals this). Probably with the help of the Paintress herself. This means that humans dying to Nevrons is bad for the Paintress (the whole trapping chroma shit apparently benefits Renoir). The yearly gommaging is also to Renoir's benefit.

Are you telling me there is a way to put your little sister into a painting that fully simulates reality where you can take on whatever likeness you want AND also wipe her memory so she doesn't know you are her older borther?

gommaj = alines =

Wrong. Gommage is Renoir. I just rewatched end of Act II and start of Act III again to make sure.

Then everyone in Lumiere would be dead which is what real Renoir wants

Go and actually play the game, your inaccuracies are covered in the exposition dump at the end of act 2. Specifically the letter.

It's indifferent to him if they are dead or alive, he wants them dead in order to have the chroma ("paint power") in order to wrestle Aline out of the painting.
But if the dead people of Lumiere feed Aline's power instead, then that's bad for him.

youtube.com/watch?v=gFHugtlIyv0
Watch or play the game. Also, everyone doesn't hate Verso enough for not following along with the letter's instruction.

Also, everyone doesn't hate Verso enough for not following along with the letter's instruction.

A hero, denied by her homeland.

you have your opinion and i have mine. we can leave it at that, but at the end of the day i have the correct opinion. all the women are wrong in this game and renoir is the good guy.

The game being a total clam fest is one of my gripes with it. Ooga Booga Monoco doesn't count.

Just a Mook like Lune and Sciel. Maelle is sad about his death but all Lumierians are fancy toys for the rich.

It's good in the moment, but I never once thought "I should save this song for later."

I garden and mow the lawn to it constantly.

Real Alicia wouldn't find another way either, she just repeated the mistakes of her mother.

I will slit my wrists in a satanic blood offering if it summons a Palicia DLC. For god's sake, it's right there.

But she's trapped on top of the Monolith and losing the battle. She probably needs to take some drastic measures if she wants to win. She can just repaint the random Lumierans after beating Renoir anyway

Who was Francois? Clea’s plush toy?

Oh, yeah. Good point. It's pretty unbelievable that the woman driven to hikikomoridom by loss isn't being super rational.

Real Alicia should get a fucking grip. She would have a chance if she at least got to hear from Painted Alicia.

I like her a lot but I don't think she does enough stuff do have an entire DLC dedicated to her. A PDessandre family DLC would be cool though

It was extremely nice of Alicia to accept Paint Alicia, but Paint Alicia is far too gone at that point with grief, sadly.

all this thread has revealed to me is that there are either a bunch of retards that dont understand the story, or the writing is garbage and everybody is pretending otherwise because le new narrative against da MODERN GAMING! to latch onto and coddle.
thanks for spoiling, retards.

Kind of fucked up how the Maelle we knew throughout the game died and Alicia is just pretending to be her. She may have all her memories but there's a subtle shift in personality.

But the big thing Painted Alicia says in the letter is that perhaps she (Real Alicia), as a being of both worlds, would find another solution (other than oblivion).
Real Alicia comes to that realization about herself on her own (16 years of both lives), but still just decides to live in the canvas forever.

Painted Alicia's hopes were misplaced.

The piano just got 5 keys longer for this.

It's a bit sad but I thought it was really fascinating how the game was able to execute that so well. There's a very noticeable but subtle shift in her personality after act 3

There isn't a way to actually save the painting anyway. And personally I like that both endings have negatives. If there was an ending where Alicia would willingly leave the Painting and return once in a while, the obvious good ending, all the ending debates and other autism wouldn't exist.

but there's a subtle shift in personality.

There isn’t

both endings have negatives

hearty kek

There's a difference between killing the 15 or so retards sent on a suicide mission and going to Lumiere to genocide everyone. The whole point of her writing the number on the monolith is because she wants to protect the humans (her creations)
Killing everyone anyway would be a pyrrhic victory at best

The Verso ending is the best but it still has negatives. Ideally Versos Soul would be reassured that fighting in the painting will cease, making him happy to continue painting. PVerso will be happy his Mom and Sister aren't killing themselves in the Painting and the beings in the Painting don't cease to exist

The plot stopped being interesting soon after his funeral. I don't give a shit about Verso or his family. The Lumiere characters cease to exist. Lune and Sciel have no input on anything. They just romance Verso which honestly was awkward and just there because the devs like Persona and wanted social links

There's a difference between killing the 15 or so retards sent on a suicide mission

That's another really inconsistent thing. You see 15 retards leaving on a suicide mission but then suddently I see hundreds of bodies of the 33th Expedition.

there is literally no downside to death, or the grief and suffering of very real people in the painted world, like Clea and Alicia

It is the mercy kill ending, but don't deny it has a massive impact.

Lumiere is literally just a painted version of Paris, and Paris has a LOT of people
Presumably 1000s of people used to go on the expeditions, it's just Lumiere has now gotten to a point where no one gives a shit about the Expeditions anymore

and Paris has a LOT of people

It’s mostly niggers and mudslimes nowadays

Lumiere is at best half of Paris since the fracture. Expedition 0 I could see with a few thousand people, but by 33? Even the goodbye party has only a few people, but then Gustave sees at least a hundred bodies of 33th.

You mean the stuff in the Spring Meadows area? I'm pretty sure those aren't the 33rd.

but then Gustave sees at least a hundred bodies of 33th.

No he doesnt he finds a pile of corpses but not all of those dead people were the 33rd

I don't think they are all the 33rd. Renoir probably just spawn camps Expeditioners and dumps the bodies there

And you can tell they aren't the 33rd because they've been turned to stone chroma, meanwhile we see Catherine and even though she's dead, she's not chromafied yet. So anyone from the 33rd wouldn't look like stone

Real Alicia comes to that realization about herself on her own (16 years of both lives), but still just decides to live in the canvas forever.

I still really, really wanted her to read it herself.
Verso doesn'th have the right to choose for either of them.

Oh god. Verso needs that hairstyle too. Everyone needs it to remove all the seriousness.

She did read the letter though, no? She tells Verso she found the letter at some point

I genuinely don't remember that, do you remember when it happend so I can check a cutscene recap?

Oh okay. I replayed that part trying to look for a number on the armband to identity the number of the expedition but couldn't either.

I'm still in act 1, kinda, at the gestral village. Avoided all spoilers. after this post I will probably uncheck the thread to make sure it's not on my watch. Just wanna say a few things:

1) so far this is my favourite jrpg style gamealongside SMTV:V, FFX, FFXII and Chrono Nigger. This game is fucking top tier and when I wake up on free days at 5 am, I instantly boil a coffee, roll a cigarette and launch it
2) I think it's obvious maelle will be really important
3) seeing jeets seethe over its success is cathartic
4) losing a boss battle so badly then learning the patterns to at the very least dodge feels great, especially when the first time around feels nearly impossible

every second of the 10 hours I've played of the game so far has been pure kino.

These threads are embarassing

seeing jeets seethe over its success is cathartic

Jeets love goyslop??

losing a boss battle so badly then learning the patterns to at the very least dodge feels great, especially when the first time around feels nearly impossible

I thought this game was turn based

Why would the Indians who get paid to shill this game hate it?

at the gestral village.

My advice. When you're doing the tournament: MAKE SURE MAELLE IS THE CHARACTER YOU CHOOSE. YOU GET HER BEST WEAPON IF YOU FINISH THE TOURNAMENT WITH MAELLE AND NOT ANYONE ELSE.

It's mentioned in the talk you have with Maelle that unlocks the Painted Alicia area. The 2nd social link in act 3 I think

based, thank you lad. i'm removing this thread from my thread watcher now.

you're one of the good ones. see you all in 7 days.

I never understood how soap operas were so popular until this game. It turns out the masses really do love brainless melodrama

social link

Ah, that makes sense, I wasn't paying attention to these (because they're gay and retarded.)

It's mostly unapologetic Verso baguette riding, I didn't like them either.

Linen and Cotton

as soon as I heard it, I knew this game was going to be something special (the environment in the Spring Meadows also helped).

Enjoy the ride, anon.

4) losing a boss battle so badly then learning the patterns to at the very least dodge feels great, especially when the first time around feels nearly impossible

I got this down with the first chromatic boss in the Spring Meadows. First, he obviously wrecked me constantly. But once I got the hang of it, he was toast.

UH oh, Personasisters... how do we respond?
