I don't feel like there's anything Yotei can do to surpass it, it's just a too generic style of game. Maybe it could win in a year without competition, but it's not going to beat something more original like E33 (it's not actually that original at all, but by goty standards it is)

E33 is also a female protagonist game so Yotei might not have that edge that makes journos want to vote for it because it's more progressive. Unless some big new game gets announced and released before the end of the year it probably will be Death Stranding 2 or E33.
