Steam Sale Hype Thread
bluddy rly bot a spongebob game legit lmao this goofy ahh playin spongebob games
I'm so bad bad at pirating bros I haven't stolen one game successfully it's over .
I bont burchased games which are too edgy even for Anon Babble off the Steam store and they told me I was edgy (the game was Death's Door)
Psychonauts 2. I heard it is a decent sequel, gameplay wise, to the first while worse in everything else.
For $6 I bit the bullet.
Only game so far.
oh my stars and garters is that some sort of demonic crow with opposable thumbs? back in my day people wouldn't play such demented games.
Castlevania Dominus Collection $14.99 on greenmangaming
3 DS Castlevania games for $5 each, not bad at all. I have been sitting out this sale, but of all games on sale, this is most tempting to me. I feel like it will go around $11 though at some point it will be a steal then
When's the winter sale? Is it true that it's always either the winter sale or autumn sale that's better than the other, but never both?
Slop
oh my puritanical values can't handle such a title as "death's door" as a satanic dogwhistle
sale hype
Purchased a bundle with the first two games and Pokemon copy(but with porn). And Sons of the Forest because why not?
Alright lurkerfags I know you're detested by everyone even anonymously but how about you give me a recommendation to balance out my supposedly "edgy" selection of purchases
refund those asap snake
Refunds were a forced Australian invention and we didn't ask for it on our storefront
it's literally 2 dollars for the most underrated open world game ever
I'm planning on buying some horror games before I finally hibernate for good until my backlog is done (only games that I want to play, some games I just have to leave behind). Open for any recommendations.
Anyone play this? Any opinions/reviews?
deadly premoniition 2 is 90% off how is it
see that steam has a new sale

everything I want is barely discounted

Interesting but pure reading, do not recommend to Anon Babble users
No Case Should Remain Unsolved
Veritus
Pacific Drive
Haven't played yet, what did I think of them?
A roguelike deckbuilding tactics game
it's shit.
This shit is never going to get any cheaper, is it? Fucking Square Enix
Just pirate it
$30 for the game and all dlc isn't bad although the game itself is pretty crap and nioh is better.
I enjoy SoP and Nioh for different reasons
Bought TUONELA for just few bucks, the games indie but pretty ok
40 games on my wishlist are >50% off. which ones should i buy?

Nothing to do with the movies
Get all the ones sub $10.
In todays gaming market, no game is worth more then 10 bucks
Nioh: Complete Edition
1 of the best games I have played in the last decade. I don't think any melee combat game comes close to Nioh 2 in terms of gameplay.
Total War: MEDIEVAL II
Surely this is only a few pounds? Just get it. There is a reason it still has players after 2 decades of release. Warhammer is great too.
youtu.be
I forgot I wanted to own Celeste on Steam instead of itch
recceter is 4 dollars I'm planning to buy just that.
Was gonna buy Armored Core but it's not on fucking sale. Might get Backyard Soccer for nostalgia but might not since I still have my old copy here somewhere and there are probably ways to get it working for free.
How fun is Megaton Musashi?
I might buy RDR 1 now
It's $50 but I've got nothing to play after I finish Stalker 2
From this list, get Dishonored, Nier, Death Stranding, Kingdom Come, Alien Isolation, Pentiment, Yakuza, Dark Souls, Sekiro, RE4 and Planescape
Are the ace attorney games really that good? I do enjoy a nice puzzle
It's fun.
i played some of the original trilogy and had decent fun, but I don't think they are that logic centric, for me it's more about fun characters and interactions with them
I'd just buy the Ace Attorney Trilogy first and see how you like it
I bought Killing Floor 2 (deluxe edition), Trillion: God of Destruction, and some DLC characters for 100% Orange Juice.
There's not really a lot that I want, Steam's library of games kinda sucks.
it's good if you want to larp as a lawyer. it's not a puzzle game.
but you could buy a $20 game that you enjoy instead of two dogshit $10 games.
Has anyone played Ghost Recon Breakpoint? I want something that's semi-tactical stealth where I can go around and tap enemies in the head with a silenced weapon
FIGHT KNIGHT
I need some JRPGs for Steam Deck. I just recently got into the genre after playing Metaphor on a whim.
The ones I've played and liked are Metaphor, SaGa 2 Remake, FF Pixel Remaster 1-6.
Already have SMTV, Persona 4 & 5, and Chrono Trigger in the cart.
I was interested in Grandia 1 and 2, but it's broken on Steam Deck.
Metaphor is already on sale. Gonna get that.
what are some big indie games that will last me a while, akin to factorio and rimworld?
homie, dont you think thats too many jrpgs? some of those are quite long, do you really need to buy them all at once? as in, if you wait with some, they just might discounted further in the future
Can anybody recommend any VR puzzle games, i'm particularly interested in anything similar to the I expect you to die series, some light or maybe even heavier lewdness would be a nice bonus as well
Psychonauts 2 is 90% off
I'll buy it even though I already pirated it on PS4
If you want me to buy games then you have to make me pay peanuts for them, simple as
Chrono trigger, stellaris (although I will warn you I consider the utopia DLC pretty much mandatory for stellaris to be a complete game) warhammer 3 but bear in mind there's fuckery with having to buy old games and DLC to get the old factions, I think you can play on the full size map without owning old games now though
Pretty fun if you can stomach the looter elements but very cutsceney, I think it's an anime adaption so that's maybe not surprising
go to steamdb
price under $20
genre: RPG/STRAT
rating: 80%>
YEP ITS GAMING TIME
I work maintenance at a plant and usually have 8 hours a day of free time waiting for things to break. I'll probably get through them before the next sale.
man the next sale should be on 19th, p5r is like a 100+ hour game
wouldnt you get burned out on them? some much of the same for so long
Based gaming at work chud. Also have a ton of free time at my blue collar security job, and have played entire games at work before. Dragon quest iii hd2d is my latest conquest.

I bought everything below $10. I am not buying stellaris cause of 10+ dlcs
Hmmmmmmmm I'm going to trust you random Anon Babble stranger. I do want to play something open world
It's their best game in like 15 years, can't be giving it away son
Only game i bought so far is needy girl overdose.
Id also probably wouldve preordered doa prism but the game is only for gook markets and im euro.
Ill need to find a way to buy prism on my steam acc
Vision of Mana
Trials of Mana
Valkyria Chronicles
Star Ocean 2 Second Story R
Tales of Berseria
Caligula Effect(2 is the better game, but 1 has the better story and characters).
Digimon Cyber Sluts Complete Edition
Don't buy Chrono Trigger, just emulate it.
is prism gaas? why not pirate?
is the remake inferior to the original?
based, fun gaem
remake
get the mega edition of aom, the upcoming chinese expansion looks super kino
I don't know why people keep saying p5r is a 100+ hours game. I played it for the first time this year and beat it in 72 hours
I'd have liked more vns, like the muv luv stuff. And I might have considered purchasing Metaphor, but I just spent a bunch of money on vacation.
Consoomer thread
Why are some games suddenly region locked?
my 2 cents: ZTD is pure shit. It will make you hate the others in the series retroactively. It might be the worst finish to a trilogy in human history.
Steins;Gate 0 is pure shit. 100% cash grab by Chiyomaru and with Nitro+ out of the picture, the lack of writing ability and story shines through. Fleshes out shit that didn't need to be fleshed out, and then does so in the worst way possible (no Valkyrie action, 95% Sad Okabe through the game, AI Kurisu, etc etc)
428- some people do not like live action, some people do not like 'multiple stories that converge', if these don't bother you then this game is, as the kids say, 'a kino' of the highest caliber.
Get Baldr Sky
Where'd you live? All of them are available in my third world shithole.
Are you from germany? The government implemented a new law which states that games on steam require an age rating to sell there.
Are you German?
Germany. All of them were still visible yesterday.
I don't believe you
ugh, I hate this country
Deus Ex is 97 cents. I played it for the first time during the coof and I thought it still held up amazingly well.
Worse than the first game. Story is alright, but the gameplay is somehow worse and it even runs worse.
It's mechanically identical. I believe the script was revised, but CDRomance has all kinds of retranslated roms if the original dialogue is a problem for you.
hooray new steam sale!
check steam
half of the AA/AAA games are not available
I hate being a vodkanigger
You have to wait and pray that the dev will submit an age rating classification form to valve.
dunno dude, I played base p5 till like you meet Haru, and I played through Royal later on, and it still took me like 80+ hours iirc
maybe you are just quick or never leave the game running for a bit on its own lol
got the ps app to check my hours and set up an account for some achievement website, but I guess I can't do it without my console
It's literally the hall of cost
what are the changes in script? I don't really care if there is no censorship or content removal.
Germany recently introduced a law that requires age rating for games.
its gooooOOoood
KCD
DMC5
Death Stranding
Resident Evil 4 (unless it's the demake)
Returnal
Sekiro
Chrono Trigger
Dark Souls demastered is ugly and shit but I guess it's your only way of owning the game now.
Rest is garbage
rec me wierd indie shit that is cheap please anons
Hyper Demon aka the best fps ever made
I already have it and got filtered
I've heard that about ZTD before, I just nabbed bundles for stuff since the bundles weren't much more. I think ZTD wound up being around a 3$ add.
revisit it.
what's filtering you exactly?
Hype for games that you always could find at cheaper prices on third-party key reseller websites?
seconding
I shift-clicked every single game linked in the Hidden Gems thread last night and have been up all night doing other stuff and checking out a few games here and there. Here are all the games I ultimately bought for about $40 altogether I think:
Powernaut II / Vangardt / Decay
Stick Fight The Game
8-bit Adventure Anthology Volume 1
FORTIFY (it's just a building tool with some handy stuff for Rust)
Frozen Synapse 2
Wuppo
Portal Knights
Neo Aquarium The King of Crustaceans (Ace of Seafood prequel)
Brigade E5 New Jagged Union
Marauder AKA Man of Prey/Ex Machine Arcade/Hard Truck Apocalypse/
Sledgehammer/etc (the full bundle of like five games)
Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number
FOTONICA
UKI-UKI-TENGOKU2
Roach Invasion
GUTTER: The Cursed
Battlestations: Midway
Dark Sector
Northgard
Recursed
Project Nimbus
Some of these may have also been free games, most were under $2.
I also wishlisted probably just as many but either they weren't as cheap or didn't seem as good to me so I shan't list them.
Also not included are games I already had in my library, sorry no way to know that now.
Also some things I bought from my wishlist are included too.
bought Darktide, Atomic Heart, Master Chief Collection, and Vampire Survivors
Was going to get BG3 as well if there was a better discount. Probably just this. I don't have a whole lot of cash and my backlog's pretty big anyway but this will be a nice addition.
I had fun with Metal Unit when I played it. Roguelite platformer about an anime girl with powered armor. Not perfect but it's $3.50 Canadian right now which I assume is about 10 cents American.
Dark Souls 3 should not be full price outside of steam sales eight years after release.
50% off is not a sale.
"Deep discount" is a way to draw a distinction between trash that isn't selling well and price discrimination of actually popular products.
In fact, all steam sales have just become various forms of price discrimination wrapped up in an aesthetically pleasing bow.
Fuck steam sales. Gaben should be a real ass nigger and give us one free game a year just because he's chad enough to do that, but he won't because he's the opposite of a chad. he's a virgin.
At any rate, I am considering Days Gone, as it constantly goes on sale for like 12.50 or something like that. I may or may not buy that game. Outside of that there isn't much I want. Maybe I'll buy Metro Exodus as well but we'll see. Budget's kinda tight this year anyway.
I don't see genre, are you just using usertags?
Vampire Survivors
slopper spotted
Yeah. I like it, it gets repetitive after a certain point, but you can LARP because there's a lot of customizable guns, a ton of gear and clothes options, you can even customize your hole squad, so if you like operating it could be fun for a long time.
You can turn of each single HUD element.
There are RPG elements. You can even choose between 2 modes: guns have levels (like looter-shooters) or a realistic mode.
And there's a lot of mods with famous characters from other franchises and more realistic stuff.
The map is gigantic and they kinda try to reward exploration but its very flawed because the world is so big and a lot of the map feels dead and empty. But there's vehicles and fast travel.
There's kinda active multiplayer.
The story is kinda meh, a little sci-fi, a huge downgrade from the last game (GR Wildlands).
Hotline Miami 2 Wrong Number
When was this ever hidden? It is a gem though
is there any real difference between FX and FX3 that warrants buying the FX3 version instead or is FX the way to go
I am not feeling this sale. Going on vacation at the start of december and wont be able to play any games while I am away so better to just wait for christmas sale.
There are some decent discounts though
Yakuza LAD on Nuuvem. I don't pretend to buy anything else
kingdom come deliverance for 2.99? is it good
This might be the worst steam sale I've ever seen or my library is just getting full after all these years
There's 2 or 3 games worth getting on my wishlist and that's because they're 75-90% off. Everything else is barely discounted
No idea the OP even wanted them to have under 1k reviews, I just clicked links and made purchasing/wish-listing decisions
that was definitely from the thread too, not my existing wishlist
I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this stuff, anyone played them and got any thoughts or warnings?
How would I buy hitman these days? I have hitman 2018 and hitman 2 on steam. What do I need to do to get world of assassination with them included (+ hitman 3)? If that is even the right path, I don't know.
I hear FX sucks ass with micropurchases and dumb shit and FX3 (the old one paradoxically due to muh reboot brand) is far better in every way
anyways it's the one I bought haven't gotten around to actually playing it yet though
Blue Revolver's pretty fun, and the big update finally came out after fucking YEARS. Honestly kind of surprised the update wasn't abandoned.
paying $50 for RDR is crazy, wait anon
world of assassination
It's 90% off and 3 USD right now...
i mean they both have microtransactions for the tables
i just mean like gameplay-wise i guess
World of Assassination at 2.99 is actually only Part 1. All 3 games are 27.99
Steam curator for games under $5: store.steampowered.com
ZTD is genuinely good at times but when it's bad it's so funny that you won't care. Prepare to enjoy yourself.

Don't get the Deluxe edition of Metaphor unless you really think you want to run around wearing Persona school uniforms while listening to BABY BABY BABY.
Just get the regular edition and if you really want some of the costume DLCs buy them separately, you are never going to use 99% of them.
When is Lethal Company going on sale reeeee.
I hear FX bad FX3 good from players, and FX more microtransactiony
More than that I cannot say
I'm thinking of buying My Time in Portia. Worth it?
Emerald beyond is very very meh, play scarlet grace instead if you haven't.
still had it in history
a lot of it is the trashiest weebshit imaginable and pedo games and so on though
They had a massive shill campaign on here with copy paste messages when the game came out and it soured me to it but I've heard it is decent.
I think you can't go wrong with Metaphor or EO, but the latter is obviously much more gameplay focused and a very classic dungeon crawler, but nowhere near as obtuse to play as I had thought.
That is so gay and misleading lol
I have a normie friend that enjoys crafting/farming/resource managment/chill games and he has a decent amount of hours in it so I think it is okay at the very least.
That is fair, sometimes the hidden gems threads get fucking derailed by retards that cant read. Hotline Miami 2 is a great game, but just play the first one first.
for me:
dishonored
kingdom come
celeste
total war
alien isolation
dark souls only if this is your first souls game
so is Rome 2 total war good without dlc or is it like a Paradox game? also, how's underrail?
Battle Brothers was the game that hooked me the best after spending many hours with Rimworld and Factorio.
Its in the steam sale and half that price on key sites as well, does has a few dlc (can easily use a dlcunlocker) but the base game is huge and would recommend playing it first before adding any dlc.
Drop Troonleste
Guess my favorite Gen 1 Pokemon and I'll buy you up to $60 of games
include a Steam ID, if you don't your post will be ignored even if it's right
one guess per post, but you can guess multiple times
if it has other forms in its evolution line (which I'm not saying it does) I'll also accept those as correct
unsure on System Shock. Gloomwood will just sit untouched for years until it's out of 1.0 but I'd end up buying it layer anyway
Thanks anon!
I got:
Ikaruga
Spyro Reignited Trilogy
KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-
Hohokum
Monument Valley
Super Meat Boy
Child of Light
Cave Story+
Castle Crashers
The Basement Collection
Sackboy™: A Big Adventure
Behemoth
Rayman Legends
Slime Rancher
System Shock remake hard mogs everything in your cart. Trepang 2 sucks don't get it.
Anyone actually give Immortal Fenyx Rising a shot? AC Odyssey was fine enough but I do think too many puzzles, which is what the Steam reviews complain about, will hit me hard after 20 hours and Ill quit.
Thoughts?
Good pre 2015 games I can play at 120fps+?
I just can't buy games or anything for that matter anymore (unless it's -90% or something). I am obsessed about saving money. Even tiny spendings I keep adding together and thinking about how many 10s or 100s I can save in a year, just so that I can end up with more. On the moments when I skip the purcahse I tell myself that I can use that money for X or Y instead but every year I have more and more unspent money on my account and nothing about my life changes.
But some of you are spending 100s and more on Steam sales that come and go, you're even more mentally ill than me.
If you buy Total War Warhammer 3 you can't go back to older titles since they are vastly inferior. For that history fix, I recommend Total War Three kingdoms.
R8. Not pictured: Moero Chronicle, bought yesterday for 1,63€
I bought Ender Lilies and a 5 dollar bag of candies (I ate half and gave the rest to my mom)
good sale
i got Dark Sector
post slop under 5 bucks
what's your definition of slop?
Waiting on my 'eck to arrive in the mail
I have more and more unspent money on my account
if you aren't investing money you aren't actually saving shit.
Opinions?
Was looking at the definitive edition as one of the only games I was thinking about buying
I was mostly getting it for the artbooks and OSTs to be honest since getting them outside the bundle was almost the cost of the bundle iirc.
Thanks for the answers anons.
Bullet Witch
All of those are solid games worth playing blind

Sale hype
Literally everything in the "Mad Max universe" is standalone and capable of existing on its own. It's "myth-based storytelling".
This might have happened.
I kinda want to play some newer total war. I'm torn between Three Kingdoms and Warhammer 3. I played some pirated WH 2 and it was fairly fun, but idk how much does the 3rd game differ.
And the last historical TW I played was Shogun 2, and the three kingdoms setting seems cool, so maybe that would be the better choice, idk.
is oblivion good if I enjoyed daggerfall and morrowind or will it suck like skyrim?
Not a lot of good discounts this time.
Probably my fault for owning most good games already.
What accuracy percentage would you say emulation is for each console generation right now?
I imagine that NES and snes are 100% accurate now.
didn't like Skyrim
You don't deserve Oblivion
dead rising
Oh shit! Almost forgot about Lorn's Lure
you answered my question then
While TW Warhammer is great, because it has monsters and magic and its a Warhammer fantasy, Three Kingdoms is an extremely good competent historical game. Shogun in comparison is ancient to the mechanics in Three Kingdoms.
Play TW Warhammer if you want a game where heroes, magic, and monsters are the keypoints.
Play Three Kingdoms if you want a game where you have to play smartly when it comes to fighting battles, where there ARE heroes but it's less steam rolly, and where theres a bunch of tactics to be used in a battle in terms of formation or stuff like burning an area to change the tide of battle. Also, diplomacy in the overworld is alot better in Three Kingdoms than TW Warhammer.(Also Warhammer to get the most of it, you need to buy the DLC factions, so its more costlier).
Well it is a single payment(presumably) offline game
So the vv trick wont work.
As for why purchase instead of piracy.
Piracy is bit more annoying on linux additionally some games i just wanna buy
Yeah I have some investments but most of it is just dead money being eaten by inflation. It's not like I am proud of it, just felt like doing some blogging.
And I have this brainrot that if I buy things that I don't *NEED* then I am just a silly consumer and if I only buy what I *MUST* I am some kind of based lifeform.
Alright, thanks, anon
Sure but know that the endgame is unfinished. The very last ore you can mine is only used for one item instead of upgrading your usual stuff like pickaxe or drills.
yeah key reseller it is then, thanks
What did you buy?
Nothing yet
What are you planning to buy?
Maybe The Sinking City. I remember hearing it was ok.
What was it in Skyrim that you didn't like?
is Darksiders Warmastered any good?
I somewhat liked 2
Might grab Strangers of Paradise. Might also gift Pummel Party to a couple of cheapskate friends.
all on fitgirl for free btw
Ninja Gaiden sigma collection is the best game you can buy right now.
Not even on sale.
it's nothing like 2, fair warning.
I'm probably going to pick up Remothered and Tormented Souls from GOG because I like to actually own my games.
I'd probably drop Bleak Faith unless you're absolutely obsessed with fromshit and dying for more of the formula
I just thought it was bland. The character creation was non-existent and the characters and quests were boring.
I want to support game developers who make games I enjoy.
The character creation was non-existent and the characters and quests were boring.
And you claim you enjoyed Daggerfall? Bullshit, you poser fuck.
it's okay to be sad.
It's worth every penny. The NES games as well. But just emulate those.
Is hitman WOA the full everything?
Skyrim quest have more time and money put into it but mechanically speaking oblivion and games like Kingdome come deliverance are superior.
Meaning that there are truly multiple ways you can solve a mission.
Dirt Rally 2 or WRC 24? Controller only
im a maintenance supervisor at a plant i better never catch you playing on your deck while im busy playing midnight suns and triangle strategy i just picked up on my deck
How much is it?
What am I in for?
23 english snoggers
Isn't that only the part 1?
I'm an artfag that enjoys artsy experimental games and it was a bit disappointing for me. kept getting lost and not having a clue what to really do
then again I'm retarded so maybe you'll be fine
Can you name your characters in Vagrus? This is important.
Anyone got any recommendations for some lesser known jrpgs with some depth? Feels like I've played all the worthwhile ones
Crystal Project
I wanna buy somethings but we dont get taxed next month and theres a winter sale canada bros
Ori and Dead Cells are fantastic, Dead Cells should last you for a long time too. Blasphemous has a gorgeous aesthetic and the gameplay is good enough to keep you engaged throughout the game
I boughted red dead 2 and sons of the forest
So for everything you need the Deluxe Edition. You miss out on the New York and Haven Island levels if you just buy the standard edition.
These steam autorecommendations get kinda weird when you don't have a lot of games in your library.
you played Vanquish? You would love Fallout 4!
The first Shadow of Whatever middle-earth game doesn't appear to have denuvo or third party launchers or any other stupid crap. Do I go for it?
Is Cyberpunk worth the 27 bucks?
STRANGER OF PARADISE or Dragon Quest XI?
Looking to bulk up my H-game collection. Any thoughts on these, it's so hard to differentiate meme porn games from good ones using the built in steam tools.
Any hidden gem recomendations?
Like Citadel/Pseudoregalia/Tunnet/Armored Head
If you're a die hard fan H.P Lovecraft then the sinking city will be a blast despite being so low budget. I am very excited for the sequel.
What game is the girl on the right from?
Peripeteia
Nothing so far
Why'd you buy DOA5 DLC 4 days before buying the actual game?
DQ11, but make sure it's not the shitty downgraded switch version.
Somebody made a bullet with porn parody in 2024, for VR
Should i get Sun Haven or Temtem?
Should I buy Metaphor?
I think so, it took them a while but they finally fixed their shit
Maybe you still need to buy DLC after this but it's not the confusing mess it used to be
am I really missing out on anything by not buying all the DLC's lol
DOA5 is free for the core fighters version
I thought the S version is the only one being sold
Is there a way to get individual items from the C&C collection? I already have the remastered 1+red alert and I don't care to have 4 in my account.
key sites
creamapi, not sure if it works for this game but try it
Tried to guess Squirtle last time, i guess i was wrong
Lemme try Gyarados this time
Friend Code
135681049
this one lasts till Dec 4
Yes. It fleshes out a lot of ambiguity by cutscenes that served to keep the game world open ended.
Sun Haven, Temtem doesn't have an offline mode so you're banking on the devs making one when they shut the servers down eventually.
How's SCP 5K? It looks pretty cool but is there a decent amount of content yet?
Wait what, I thought that version had a lot of extra content and stuff?
Which version of DQ11 should I get?
Don't listen to that retard. The switch version is visually downgraded compared to the original but there's mods to fix that. It has a ton of content that's not in the original game.
Get DQ11S and then mod back the PS4 visuals yourself.
Never played Sun haven, so i can't compare the two
As for Temtem, I would never recommend it at full price (as someone who backed the kickstarter for more than full price), but if you like creature collectors/ pokemon clones, I would say its worth the current price.
They recently made a bunch of QoL changes, like making shiny rates lower, and removing all microtransactions (everything is purchasable with currency earned in game). does make a good point though.
AC Odyssey ultimate edition that also comes with AC 3 remastered is 90% off you're literally stealing from Ubishit
Also P3R is 50% off
don't buy Metaphor you can just pirate it
indie games going for 25% off or less
steam has fallen
Should I finally buy an 'eck now that there is a sale or just wait for OLED to get a discount?
obra dinn isn't even on sale
Thinking about dropping under night 2 because even if i really liked the first one the playerbase probably is too small at this point.
UFO 50 seems kinda neat but it mostly seems like a collection of minigames but not much more.
What should I get ? is Dragons Dogma 2 running like ass
is Dragons Dogma 2 running like ass
It's fine. I get about 30-40 fps on my RTX 4080 at 1440p.
Here's what I got yesterday.
M&B2 is cheaper if you already have age of empires 2 and buy the bundle.
buying OLED for a portable device
Inevitably having to replace the screen is going to be a huge pain in the ass if it's even possible, and since you care about discounts don't even pretend that you'll buy a new deck as the solution.
Someone shill me on or against
Rogue Trader
Sun Haven
Thanks
Drop uni, fighting games are only worth buying in the first month, after that they are dead and to actually play the game you paid for you have to beg for matches on some schizos discord.
Interested in the following games
Self Defense Dojo (Yakuza Rogue & Yarimono by proxy)
Anthology of a Killer
Man, I just wanna go home
Battle Brothers (This is how I imagine Scotland is)
After all this time, has anyone tried to explain this wide open mouth phenomenon? Or is it just a coincidence?
Rogue Trader
fun game, great aesthetics, good roleplaying, fun combat
some balancing issues making certain classes ridiculously op
quality drops in later acts, but I found them enjoyable enough
get it if you like warhammer 40k or owlcat games
UFO 50 seems kinda neat but it mostly seems like a collection of minigames but not much more.
you're up for a treat
UFO 50 is complete NES/SNES games, they are fantastic (some of them).
Nothing quite as good as spelunky but the same devs.
Pls respond
I totally forgot humble choice exists
Got the sub just for persona 4 and darktide, 100% worth it
pull the trigger?
Gimme the facts, Anon Babble, is it worth it?
you can get p4 like this guy did
Sun Haven there are some things I liked compared to Stardew which is the skill tree and having an incentive to cook food. Didn't like the game introducing 2 different farms but you'll still use the main one anyways or very little automation.
Kenshi
Darkest dungeon
MB Warband
for free with xbox pass if u dont mind
everyone I knoow says the game is pretty good
Bought
ostranaughts
survivalist invisible strain
definitely not fried chicken
bastard bonds
zero sivert
dragons dogma 2
was anyone able to complete metaphor on the demo version?
Honestly I thought the game was pretty boring, and characters basically get 3-4 skills with no sense of progression. Also, the writers favorite character is the worst character in the game.
don't know what else to get, i'm up for anything honestly but i wanted these 3 at least, do anyone have a suggestion ?
also i've been looking at Cave of Qud, is it any good ?
Nah I remember being disappointed playing it on gamepass. You're basically sidekicks to some guy called Garl because your two main characters don't have much of a personality. So any moment gets ruined because he takes all the spotlight. Everyone loves this dude and talks about what a great guy he is.
Sekiro and ori
If I could only buy one racing game to get my rice on, which NFS should I get?
Might take out Omori to get it on switch physical and sunset overdrive to play it on xbox game pass. dunno
Just in case you don't know / for next time, if there's only one or two games that you want in that bundle, generally the bundle itself will make them much cheaper on key-sites.
t. Moomin just got put in a bundle, and now waiting a few days for the big discount on sites.
Lame, think I'll take anon's advice and just try it on game pass if I ever renew that
So is the deadly premonition port just not worth it? I checked the pcgamingwiki and the list of crashes is the longest i've ever seen
I only bought pic related, looks fun
The tax break is only gst, unless you're one of those hst fucks. And it's not even necessarily going to apply to video games. So if you're buying a game that's on sale for $30, you might save $1.50 next month, if it applies. Unless you're on a tight budget, I wouldnt worry too much about that.
Sun Haven is fun, but the devs prioritize pushing out more and more dlc over fixing bugs. The game has like 300$ dollars of cosmetics dlc already (a lot of it is only visible from an in-game menu and doesn't show on the steam page). Meanwhile it took the devs over 3 years to fix controller support.
I'll give it a try but the devs focusing on cosmetic DLC sounds kinda lame
Rogue Trader is awesome, I bought it in the previous sale two weeks ago and have been playing it every day since then, still not done with it either
honestly I'd recommend it even at full price, the amount of content the game has is absolutely staggering, the only complaint I have that the game is pretty easy on default settings and the combat eventually starts feeling like a chore
bloons is amusing
buy elin, it's cheaper
no idea
i have that shiren on switch it's pretty fun
did they fix the bugs? I bought december last year but only played for 2hours
I haven't experienced any bugs so far in my playthrough apart from one annoying bug in chapter 3 where I had to load a save from 2 hours ago to fix it
Daily reminder: your backlog is free now if only I could figure out what I actually want to play instead of doomscrolling Anon Babble
Hi friends, looking for some recs
MMO-like
Horny
Cutscenes are just footage of real people
The recs don't have to be all 3 combined.
peggle
Atlyss for the first two
Atlyss is for certified trannies
need a recommendation for a JRPG with hot girls
I played ryza and it sucks
Which one of these is the best pick? I don't want all of them
Not picking any of them
2 and 3 are the only fat cry games worth playing
you can get system shock for around 15 pound on humble bundle and also get: crysis remastered trilogy, doom, prey, star wars dark forced remastered with it.
2 Is probably the most unique, but you'll need to mod it to fix some of the inherent issues. 3 Is the Series peak, but it was also normified. 5 Is a better version of 3 and is slightly underrated in general.
No. Over hyped. Get dave the diver instead.
I have everything except far cry 6/new dawn
Far cry 3 and 4 = really good
Far Cry primal = I got bored the first 2 hours and never went back
Far Cry 5 = First 2 hours and I thought something was really weird and then I realized the game had no mini map so I closed and never went back, people says its good
the rest of the games = never bothered to pla
5 Is a better version of 3
How?
i have some games that i'd bypass my backlog to play first, it's just that i don't know if I want to buy them at current discounts
Im going to buy palworld as a fuck you to nintendo and i heard it is getting a huge update in december.
3/4/5 are the same games with the same systems. 4 feels a bit jaded. New dawn is dreadful with the way its weapon scaling system works.
5 however has the best map, story is a bit more interesting, fun hick america setting etc.
because I was buying them for a mod and the dlc was more expensive.
and i still havent gotten the mod to run on my linux pc.
I went in Palworld expecting a shitpost but I kinda like it. Basically does what I wanted out of Pokemon Arceus which is working together with your mons building and managing your base.
I don't really need anything, every sale has the same games I already own or the ones I'm not interested in. And the games on my wishlist are too expensive for what they're worth.
Next game I'll buy will be STALKER in 6-12 months when it's somewhat fixed.
Is Nine Sols worth the price? 30 dollars is a lot for an indie, and the sale price of 21 dollars is significant as well. Also I've never played sekiro and I was shit at parrying in Bug Fables.
What did you buy?
You might as well get sekiro at that price and get a polished aaa experience while learning to git gud. Indie games don't do that type of stuff well.
nine sols is on gamepass now
Any good coom games on sale lads?
Elin
only gsme will be recetter for me . it's been on my wishlist a long while and it's finally cheap
I'm not buying anything and haven't bought anything for the last 10 years now. I have downloaded all the games you listed and they sleep in my hard disk. You sir are a cuck but thanks for paying for my games
this shit is free on f95, what are you doing?
Just use igg or gog games. To
Keep your antivirus on and you won't have any problems
Just play hollow knight and ori instead. Much better and cheaper too
The game has a lot of game modes and titles to collect and didn't feel like doing that on a pirated copy
I've never played CP 2077 before, should I get the base game or the the DLC also?
igg
Don't download from someone that puts DRM on their pirated games. Go to skidrowcodex instead.
muh achievements
mental illness
Kek shouldn't you keep your pesos for tacos Jesus?
i need me a good JPRG to hold me over till the 6th of dec when POE is out
iv already played P5 and metaphor and won them
Forza Horizon 4 Ultimate Edition since I heard it's getting delisted next month.
I'm tempted to get Temtem. Would that be a major mistake? I want play a game with the breeding autism and shiny rarity of the Gen 4 and 5 Pokemon games.
How's this for 15 bucks?
Elden Ring is 20 on consoles right now
Full price on steam
Why does from hate us
I just beat ff16 and it's well made jrpg to keep you occupied. not too long if you skip side quests and don't buy dlc . else you could get gsme pass and try different gsmes in that library
The game has value so the company leverages that, you could wait til the store updates in a couple hours or tomorrow and see if the price drops.
dlc is mandatory because it adds ending shit
Potato Flowers in Full Bloom
I want play a game with the breeding autism and shiny rarity of the Gen 4 and 5 Pokemon games.
Breeding is, in my opinion, worse than pokemon.
and as of the QoL update, base shiny rate is 1/2000
muh 20 bucks
Poorfaggotry
Any good games like Spirit City where you just chill and unlock things while working?
could have been zero for practically no effort
not it like it matters to the dev, he's a fucking millionaire
any less known rpg recommendations? preferably rtwp
best use of RTWP i've played was Transistor but it's really short.
Forgot to mention, there's a second, rarer tier of shinies you can only get postgame, with base odds of 1/20000
rtwp
whoever makes games in this genre needs to have their game bomb, RTWP needs to go extinct
Tormented Souls doesn't have DRM on it. It doesn't require Steam to be open.
I bought subnautica and Rise of the Tomb Raider, which were both dogshit in VR. Refunded both. What are some fun single player VR games?
Gonna try one more time
Your fav is Ditto.
As usual friend code
135681049
Bob L'eponge is kino

Half-Life Alyx

The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners

Blade & Sorcery
Narcosis
rate my shitty cart
don't buy Cities: Skylines without DLC unless you're gonna use CreamAPI
with how big this list is which ones should i remove? should I just emulate ghost trick?
What is a good city builder?
holy shit shovelware sale no freaking way guise OO:
Frostpunk
jewish cart
Elaborate please.
Workers & Resouces: Soviet Republic, but you need to have severe autism
mad max was fun but very short
Why are there no good JRPGs? Every good JRPG is stuck on the PS Vita.
Troon post
it is inferior to turn based gameplay in every way apart from respecting your time
for two bucks it's well worth it
disgaea 4 & 5 are pretty good if you have alot of time to kill or just want the okay story
I got Shadow Generations. Really fun, but even on sale for $35 it still felt like too much money.
I mean the entire Disgaea franchise (aside D2 and maybe 6) is pretty great
Y/N
N
Mouthwashing is garbage
true, but only 1's (and maybe 2's) story are actually worth watching through he should try the coven and labyrinth series if he's into JRPGs
mouthwashing is like 2 hours and extremely linear just watch someone else do it I felt scammed out of my money
All three are great if you're already a fan of what they're offering and I'm assuming you know what that is so probably, yes, yes.
If they ported Dragon's Crown and Soul Sacrifice Delta I could finally let it rest.
I’ve decided I’m going to try to build a rogue like deck builder game so just buying all of them. Slay the Spire, Monster Train, Balatro etc. Have too much free time at my job so wanted to take on a side project to learn Godot.
I have accepted getting 50% max discount, but motherfuckers are now barely deigning to drop it down by 20%. Indies are doing 10% lol.
I am hoping the Winter Sale is a bit better, but if it's not then I will simply wait. Video games are bad for you anyway.
Why do people buy games they don't intend to play? People like:
I played rogue trader for like 30 hours and I would rather stick my dick in a blender than suffer through it again. Owlcat games are only for the newfaggiest of rpg fans.
Troons usually hate their dick so this makes sense.
I'd say 1, 2 and 3 are worth reading.
4 isn't though some claim the DLC redeems it (it doesn't) and 5 is very plain. 6 was okay until they made you retread every plot point in a shitty way.
I've yet to do 7, but I'm expecting it to be a 6 or 7 plotwise.
Mentall illness like when women buy clothes
You're literally me.
games under 75% are NOT a sale
f-fine, I will settle for 50% since nobody has 75%+ sales anymore
we are lucky to get even 50% off nowadays
Society sucks.
This is another great point. Owlcat fans are usually underage soijak party types that unironically type out things like "troon".
but i DO beat the games, I've been working very aggressively on my backlog.
Unironically chill pulse
store.steampowered.com
based backlog clearing anon
Brehs rec me some super simple super gory 2D FPS
Basically Boltgun but reskinned
Bonus points for 90% off
Winter Sale won't have different prices, at most you'll get a couple of newer games on a 20% for the first time
Regardless I appreciate getting the occasional 30 hour game for 2 bucks, so sales are still exciting for me
It's over....
I didn't actually know Mouthwashing was THAT short. I'll think about that one. I'm definitely getting the other two and also Darkest Dungeon.
which one is better?
My library is so full almost nothing is worth buying since these deals aren't that good
how is Ark with mods?
I'll bite. Let's say you buy ALL the games in your list. What are you going to play during the first week of December, the second one, and the third one?
Answer truthfully. And no, you're NOT going to play all those games in the next 3 weeks. Songs of Styx alone takes a whole month to even master.
Mouthwashing is 75% pointless gameplay filler to get it past the 2 hour refund mark, just watch it on youtube, I wouldn't even classify it as a game
Jesus Christ I know they were bad for years but this is k2 peak of narcissism
Can recommend:
Dead Cells, Psychonauts 2 (if you liked the first one), Nioh, Sekiro, Total Warhammer 3 (if you cream API the extras), Blasphemous, Hades, DMC5
Planescape is really good but old, so you might be better off pirating it to see if you like it first
if you played frostpunk it's a bit similar, definitely fun but somewhat bullshit. A lot better now that it has the infinite mode
I see. I think that's what I'll do. Thanks, anon.
I am finally doing my moral diligence and buying the games I pirated in ages past.
Recommend me some good old/new RTS games for a noob that only played a little Warcraft 3 back in the day.
Preferably with some single player content, I don't want to get shit on my neckbeard pros online from the start.
kangmaker and the sequel, Pillars but those are all mainstream-ish
no, thank you for deciding to not give these grifters money
I only pirate EGS and switch exclusives
Honestly probably nothing, I genuinely have so much stuff to play that buying more is pointless.
look up Mandalore on youtube, he has something of a series going through interesting RTS games over the years
I'll look at it
kingmaker
eula agreement
would've if not for that
antivirus
Can I pirate an antivirus? I refuse to actually purchase a gay license.
Spirit City has a nude mod
wtf is atylss
desu this was probably going to be my christmas list since every december i dedicate all my time to single JRPG probably in this case either soul nomad or trials (probably both since they're both around 30 hours long) I go into something of a manic episode for the first 3 months of the year i beat games like crazy but I like making lists in how long games take to beat and work on it from there but if it interests me more i'll play that first while I read a visual novel for like 2 hours a day. The sandboxes such as songs of styx are for the summer months because that's when I get burned out usually around april and need something less narrative based. It usually just goes back into playing Kenshi or Stardew again but the sandboxes I plan to buy seem really cool
big booty furry game with MMO style gameplay
How is trans-siberian railway sim? looks super jank but also fun
that's fair enough, could always give it a pirate. It's a genuinely good rtwp game
Never ended up playing Risk of rain 2. Is it as good as the first one?
Should I
Good citizen
ghosts n goblins resurrection: very hard
fight n rage: also very hard
but in a good way for both
uh
nah
give me zombies chronicles. no sale yet....
kek wtf
it's good with friends but not as good as the 1st game definitely, especially with the 2nd round of dlc. With just the void expac and mod it's very good, 2nd expac is just a bit nonsense
Honestly not a bad plan but are you actually sure you're not gonna be tempted to buy even more games during Christmas? I, for one, honestly believe you should consider what games do you feel like playing in the next couple of weeks. We got Winter Sale right around the corner. If you want JRPGs, we gonna wait for the Golden Week next year.
Considering you want to play JRPGs in December you should buy Elin, Palworld, and Etrian. Clannad is a VN so you need to be in the mood for reading.
