Just finished cultic, it's alright, now I'm doing sigil and then i'll finally get to legacy of rust

Does playing Going Down Turbo count?

Do you have a YouTube channel by chance?

Yeah, but I don't have any public videos.

I just finished Half Life 1 for the first time. I thought it was fantastic.

Why lie?

Working my way through HROT currently. Don't remember the last one I finished.. Robocop maybe? It's the first steam game I've ever 100% too.

finished Habitat in gzdoom vr

shamblin niggas

HL2 with the 20th anniversary commentary track.
Before that Turbo Overkill.

Replayed Half-Life 2 last weekend because somehow I'd never gotten around to playing through episode 2.
That last fight where you have to kill the striders with magnet bombs is some horseshit.

i just don't get what people see in HL2
its even more of a tech demo than HL1 and waaay more boring & slow

Oh look, a contrarian faggot with a #UniquePerspective

CULTIC?

its even more of a tech demo than HL1 and waaay more boring & slow

And I will never understand this complaint. The series was never meant to be bing bing wahoo in FPS form and never pretended to.
Turbo Overkill that I mentioned in my other post is ADHD bing bing wahoo and I also enjoyed it.

I used to feel the same way until I played through Half Life 2 properly (i.e. not dropping it early on). The base game can be a little boring at times, mostly from stretching sections out that could have been shorter, but it's not terrible. Episode 1 and 2 were noticeably more fun to play imo, maybe give those a try.

As someone who’s been going through it again recently, it’s not really as slow as you remember. The problem is just that the levels are longer, so the iconic setpieces are spread out more.

the last shooter you finished

Would Remnant 2 count?
'cause otherwise that push it back to Half-life 2.

Super Eagle

Would G-Police 2 count as shooter? I beat it last week and now I'm replaying the first one

fleshy and furry shambler

phantom fury and graven

Gpolice 1

Oh, is that thing actually good?
I remember being mind-blown by the demo and the amount of weapons available.
Is the campaign actually worth playing or that sandbox demo was the best it had to offer?

The fucking boat section at the start is really almost borderline ruining it for me, I forgot just how bad this piece of shit controls and it just keeps going on

Delete this.

If you liked that demo you'll enjoy the campaign, it has some variety in the missions, and hard mode is a good challenge. Of course, I'm biased because nostalgia, but I really recommend pirating it

Finished? Marathon Infinity. Easily the worst of the trilogy. When I got to Acme Station I dropped the game for weeks because it was so fucking frustrating. But at least it's done. Currently playing Realms of the Haunting which is kind of interesting but I suppose it's really an Adventure game with shooting more than an FPS. With that game finished I'll be done playing my collection of 1995 and 1996 FPS games.

Boring answer: Half-Life 2 because of the anniversary.
Before that, Sprawl.

i have too many shambler pics, help me

Ep2 when?

Bioshock Infinite

Yeah, lmao

its an adventure game with really good world design

Boltgun: Forges of Corruption

Didn't get the final achievements because of a bug, though.

Now playing: Half-Life 2 with developer commentary on.

HL2 is a really weird game in that I like it more with each subsequent playthrough. I thought it was kinda mid on my first playthrough (admittedly, it was in 2005 and I played it on a shit rig with basically no shader support), but I like it nowadays. It's not a challenging FPS and the vibe is a little too goofy at times, but a lot of it is just cool atmospheric stuff. It's a walking sim with guns, basically.

Metro Last Light Redux

Last new game was Doom Eternal (I finished the main campaign and started DLC, but ghosts that require not just a specific weapon, but a specific upgrade on specific weapon was when I said "enough is enough" and quit). Last FPS in general was Painkiller + BooH on max difficulty with mod to play last chapter on it aswell.

this nigga based

Blue Shift

Post ‘em then

Just replayed all of Doom and the official expansions. Working on Doom 64 and will jump on Sigil 2 after that.

Been playing a fuckton of Prodeus lately because it gives me something to do while on my job
The community maps are great or most of them, and the gameplay is always cool

I wish there was more to it, I think i already done the best community maps so far as well as the campaign, 50hrs or so. Great game

I'm going to start AD from scratch, soon as I'm done with Doom. Whatever source port I was using was fucking up, anyways.

Sigil 2. Currently halfway through No Rest for the Living. Then I’ll play Legacy of Rust, Doom 64, and Quake.

AD needs to be run on Quakespasm Spiked IIRC
The instructions are there tho.

I thought they recommended Chocolate Quake. Well, whatever. I'll figure out when the time comes.
