Yes I did this last year
get MW (2007), MW2 (2009) and MW3 (2011). it's like one big military thriller story over three games

Black ops 2 was good and probably Infinite warfare

I thought Modern Warfare 2019 was good

If you like the game equivalent of an action movie

Are the COD games worth playing for their campaigns?

Some of them, yeah

Excluding the WW2 games, not interested in those

Nevermind.

Every cod up to BO2 is worth playing

absolutely, the Black Ops line's story has a ton of great moments across its games. i would highly reccomend them.

The single player of CoD has always been my guilty pleasure that I play through all them every few years.
Play the original MW trilogy back to back for a overall narrative like said.
The new MW 2&3 and vanguard all suck.
Ghost is cool but your never getting out of the pit.
Play the WWII ones you faggot. MacGregor demands it!

Some of the earlier ones. At some point they go to shit.

No disrespect but I'd put my cutoff somewhere around blops/MW1.

CoD WWII and World at War are really good campaigns.

no, its all garbage, titanfall 2 is has better campaign than any slop cod

Excluding the WW2 games

dropping World at War

don't even try to bother with Black Ops, if that's the case

Not really, unless you just want to play a 6-hour movie.

i actually wish there were some magic that would stitch every Call of Duty SP Campaign together in one big pack
same with Battlefield
when they still had SP

Don't skip World at War you bitch.

COD never had good writing, which is something we all know, so the pleasure of playing the campaign lies in the presentation of it, and how it tries to provide different environments to the player, so you should play: World at War, MW 2007-2011 trilogy, Black Ops 1, Ghosts (probably the COD game with the most different environments I think), give it a shot to Infinite Warfare, and don't go beyond Clean House level in MW2019.

As a extra, you could try Black Ops 3 to see some retarded attempt at doing a Ghost in The Shell plot, I was intrigued how the game wanted to go deeper than usually regarding complexity, but COD will always be COD and just ended being another shitty plot.

try playing CoD2

mouse input is completely fucked

sensitivity is inconsistent and random

shame

CoD 1

no, fuck you boomers I played it recently and it just not good, especially level design

CoD 2

yes

CoD 3

ehh, I guess

CoD 4

hell yeah

WaW

HELL YEAH

MW2

hell yeah

Black Ops

hell yeah, although bit overrated

MW3

yes

Black Ops 2

hell yeah

Ghosts

no
there's a influx of contrarians claiming it's actually good but this is where the series fell from grace

Advanced Warfare

yes

Black Ops 3

no

Infinite Warfare

no
again, people claim it's good and while it has its moments, it's simply not fun to play

WWII

if you don't like WW2 setting then no

BO4

N/A

Modern Warfare 2019

yes

Black Ops Cold War

yes, probably my favorite modern CoD campaign

Vanguard

lol

Modern Warfare II

not sure why's there so much hate for this games, it was pretty good

Modern Warfare III

absolutely not

Black Ops 6

yes if you don't mind dumb story, but wait for sale (or pirate)

Infinite Warfare was so cool it was basically Pearl Harbor and the assault on Japan IN SPACE.

I also like their interpretation of how a military star ship would look like. Less Star Trek more current battleship

no, fuck you boomers I played it recently and it just not good, especially level design

t. shitter can't handle not having regenerative hp

Didn't COD WW2 have a final stage that is just slow walking through a concentration camp while dramatic music plays and your character says over and over how terrible that is? For that alone you should avoid it

Yes, but they are basically the same thing and they have been imitated by every other action shooter so you have probably played them already. The best ones in my opinion were the original, 2, 4 (Modern Warfare 1) and World at War. I never played one after Modern Warfare 3. I also recommend Titanfall 2.

But then how will you remember the 11 Million?

Do you use Enhance pointer precision in Windows?

fuck you, it has nothing to do with regenerative health, there's a reason CoD 2 is the one people remember
although United Offensive was pretty good actually
yeah, and even worse is that your jewish squadmate who was captured mission or two before was sent there, instead of, you know, executed on the spot or sent to POW camp and when you found him it was all "I was holocausted, this must never be forgotten" all all that
they had some (((Hollywood))) filmmaker to help them make it more "cinematic" and it shows

there's a reason CoD 2 is the one people remember

yeah, CoD2 was a shitty console game designed around the limitations of televisions and controllers

Nope the game is broken

works fine on my machine

It doesn't you're just too shit to feel it

I'm extremely autistic about look sensitivity

lmao COD1 has the most memorable levels of them all

this

You aren't, otherwise you'd know CoD2 SP's mouse sensitivity is fucked

Play the remastered version of 1 and 2 then the original MW3 if you want to do that.

I'm so much autistic about sensitivity that I made AHK script to bind keyboard buttons on RMB press and release to adjust sensitivity on the fly as I hold the RBM, since aim sensitivity scale is based on 4:3 fov, not 16:9

>Modern Warfare II

not sure why's there so much hate for this games, it was pretty good

Warzone tourists hated it because it didn’t have ADHD movement and was trying to be more like the og CODs but with a shitty recoil/weapon tuning system

No matter how much you spam this it will never be true.

Your inability to give any counter-argument speaks volumes.

So? Doesn't mean the sensitivity isn't broken on CoD2 SP.

I wouldn't say so. 1.29 with 200% DPI display monitor scaling in hipfire is the exact equivalent of Source's sensitivity 2.58 with raw input.

That doesn't mean the sensitivity isn't randomly changing.

As I said, works on my machine and I would notice otherwise.

I felt genuinely insulted by how fucked up STALKER 2's mouse input is with uneven scales on each axis

As I said, works on my machine

It doesn't.

Gameplay wise they are all mind numbing and junk food
Ironically enough, only BO6 attempted to shake up the formula by introducing stealth and upgrades

Did you try
seta cl_mouseAccel "0"
seta m_filter "0"

I always thought these were the default settings, so I was never sure why mouse-sensitivity mentions these

tfw i remember playing cod4, mw2 and black ops when they were brand new

tfw i remember how they were the biggest franchises in the industry and everybody played them

tfw the last cod i bought was black ops 1, but then i bought the 2019 modern warfare reboot just because i saw the clean house mission on youtube and had to buy it

tfw only put about 20 hours into the game and then forgot about it

i've barely played any new games since then
talking about the classic cod games always brings back fond memories of a much better time in the industry and in my life

Anon, It's an SP specific issue. MP was fixed. There is no fix for SP.

Just play cod4 + mw2. And IF you want to finish the story.... mw3

Honestly I have such a soft spot for MW3 campaign.

It's funny looking back how it was considered a low point. Then you have shit like Vanguard.

Ok, you might be right. Sorry.

Well honestly, I never understood Anon Babble's affection for WaW. It's not only subjectively a dull campaign with shitty samey washed out environments, but also objectively insufferable with AI grenade spam. WaW is one of those games I will never ever replay.

Is the campaign in the Modern Warfare remake trilogy any good? I liked the story in the originals.

MW22 lost the original writers and the story lacks direction and cohesion, they pulled a lot of punches and refused to kill characters in the story just to recycle them in the sorry excuse of the warzone storyline to sell them as skins. The whole thing feels more like capeshit but with operators instead of a grounded military thriller like MW19. A lot of levels were also gimmicky, with the gimmicks overstaying their welcome (for one, the car chase mission) or hinging too much on nostalgia.

It was a low point simply because MW1 and 2 both set the bar so high. It wouldn’t be as bad if Yuri wasn’t the Poochie of MW3. At least the final mission is great.

It's not like a multiplayer is any better, it's just a reskinned cod4, if you didn't know any better you would think it's a mod

no one mentions United Offensive's campaign

Why?

No, it starts OK but the next two pivot hard into the marvel style.

Because the plebs didn't play it. Its arguably the best WW2 campaign mode ever made.

first two are alright, but III is absolute garbage and I'm like 90% sure it was supposed to be a paid expansion to MWII along with remastered MW2 maps to introduce Makarov and set up actual MWIII until Bobby decided he wants one more paycheck for old times sake
it's like 4 hours long and half of that is shitty DMZ style "open combat missions" which are nothing but boring filler

until Bobby decided he wants one more paycheck for old times sake

kek
