Alien Isolation is still one of the best games ever made

It's an okay game that nails the look of Alien but fails to be scary after the first hour or so and is full of boring padding sections.

There's kind of an awful stealth non-xeno part early on, don't give up even if it's frustrating.

Alien Isolation is great. The only weakness is the length--there was too much content ,which fatigues the casual player who seem allergic to spending more than an hour on anything. It came upon just the right formula between having you fight against killable enemies but also have to evade the Alien that simply eviscerates you if it gets within arm's reach.

Is it the room with 2 levels and the smoke machines where you get the gun? I made it that far the first time and quit; though I remember there being an alien that pissed me off. Irregardless, I am not going to quit this time.

Yeah near the elevator. I honestly think there might be something wrong with the room because on Hard (which is what I recommend), they just see you and blast you based on RNG.

RE7 is better. Alien Isolation needed more gameplay variety. Maybe more plotlines involving humans. Less stupid gameplay, like opening doors and the braindead crafting system. It's just too much of the same boring stupid shit for 20 hours straight. It's like 8/10. RE7 is a 9/10.

I think it's a very linear section. There's like a specific path you need to take otherwise they see you and shoot you. Don't remember the specifics but basically you have to speedrun it.

When people say this, they're just selfishly talking about themselves like their own time is the most important and not other peoples (and I'd rather have played Alien Isolation for longer). Like I said, it could've been 30 hours and still would've been amazing.

I was playing it on Game Pass but it left before I could beat it.
I probably got to the seventh chapter or whatever, I don't think I even encountered the xenomorph, just a lot of sneaking past the agitated androids.

Based taste. I don't really like horror games but this game is absolute perfection. You can really tell that they wanted to get every little detail right. They perfectly recreated the horror and claustrophobia of being trapped on the Nostromo with the Alien. As usual, lily livered faggots wouldn't buy it and sales were meh.

Does it though? Never used that mod. When the alien is tethered to you, you pretty much always know where it is (either stomping around the corridors or fucked off into the vents). If you untether it, it could be anywhere.
