There's a bit more expressiveness to the way he currently draws his own design. Didn't need to be such a radical change in the movie and Banananza imo.

He doesn't look cool anymore to me anymore. Rare DK has a cool vibe to him. This new look is trying too hard imo. It doesn't look like a DK game either.
I just really don't like the defined lip edge on the new take of the OG look.
Donkey Kong would be better if it was ultra realistic.
