question: have you earned money from your game?

my game made 700 bucks

I just lazily work on various models and practice in Blender now. There are some plans regarding games simle enough to make but that's about it.

bandicooch.png - 611x1045, 500.56K

impressive, how many bought it?

Soul.

I'm creating an indie dev studio.

Keep it up! Wish I had the blender skills to do something with Nyl models, like a RPG based on the Bordello series...

But I don't open blender in months, no motivation, burning time playing games instead of making them

Are all the limbs on this guy separate?

you're gonna make a bandicoot sex game? with human males?
based

Don't worry about it. If you don't want to do it, just open it up and fuck around for 5 minutes a day. Sometimes these 5 minutes may end up being 2 hours or more. I'm a lazy shit myself but this kind of approach helps.

titsandass.png - 903x1079, 594.11K

I've spent the last week rewriting the renderer to be more efficient.
So far I can draw a black window really-really fast.

If I'' get my shit together and learn something outside of shoddy 3D modelling. I'm trying texturing now. Baked-in shadows and lighting have always fascinated me, so I hope to learn how to make shit look good without resorting to the realistic shading most of the modern game engines use most of the time.

where do you live? What game are you making?

382 people - 32 refunds...

trannies

Don't suppose anyone wants to get a project going? I'm comfortable using both Unity and Godot. I know C#, Gdscript, Python, html/css/JS plus Bash/Powershell. I know how to use Aseprite, Blender, and Krita. I know lmms and audacity(lol). I'm no artist though. I just want to throw myself at something.

donnt worry you sell your game to 92% of them, only a few regund it, im proud of you

Have you considered using unity?

Why are you like this

Didn't expect to see my goblin on the front page
yeah they are, it's way easier to animate

how long have you worked on it?

No, because then I'd have to actually work on a game.
Joking aside, yes I have considered unity and godot.
I don't want to use unity because it is absolutely proprietary.
Godot is fine really, and I would use it if it wasn't a personal project. I don't particularly enjoy gdscript, C# or C++, however.

godot has gdextension for writing c++ modules but i couldn't tell you anything about it.

I don't particularly enjoy gdscript, C# or C++, however.

C++

Yeah, I know.
I get enough C++ to want to kill myself at my day job anyway, no thanks.

sorry, i misread your post. you using rust or something like that?

Common Lisp

question: have you earned money from your game?

Probably got a grand total of 5 bucks from ads on two mobile games I did ten years ago.

that's actually real cool. well if you do catch yourself working in godot in the future, gdscript has callables which are functional programming adjcent.

Dumb question: does Switch 2 (or at least Switch 1) support compute shaders?
Afaik old or low-power hardware tend to half-ass that part massively and only use the cheapest, least efficient hardware implementation possible, but I have no idea how good/bad it is on the Switch.

Thanks!
Yeah, godot and gdscript are fine.
I don't mind using it in principle. It's just if I'm making something for me I'd like everything to be just as I like the most.

What kind of game are you interested in making?

Yesterday I got my movement logic successfully calculated on the server with position and rotation data sent to clients. Had to rip out unity network transform as the game was built around clients owning their player game objects. It was a rare high moment for me.

Guro/scat/piss h game where you are a girl trapped in an underground prison in fantasy australia

Absolutely mind broke. Fygoon won. You buck broken nigger lost

Honestly, anything. I just want something that someone is passionate about. As long as someone has an idea on WHAT they want to make, I'd be up for it.

Why are you like this?

Great idea

Oh and also add in vomit/body hair/snot/bestiality/ntr

I just cant motivate myself to wrestle with unreal.
It will work out, i go from laser tight focus and 18 hour days to complete apathy.
Once i find myself playing factorio all day i know its time to return to dev

Only thing I don’t know is how to code , surprise surprise
But I have an interesting idea for an indie game and can work out the logic on paper for all the systems and whatnot

Okay okay. I have another idea. Niche fetishfags always have loads of money and are willing to shell out for games that cater to them. So, what's the most niche fetish you can think of? Belly button lint!

I know that feel very well.
I think the actual problem is 18 hour days.
I found that if I limit work to 6 hours a day max, exercising regularly and sleeping/eating well I can maintain productivity for long periods of time.
Though eventually I always do a week of 10+ hour crunches just to finish this one feature.

I have plenty of ideas I'm passionate about. Ideas are pretty easy to come up with. Turning it into something good is the hard part.

I'd like to hear you out. Post a throwaway email and let's see if we can work something out.

I got myself learning by building after like 2 weeks of unity learn courses. Roll A Ball and create with Code. Chatgpt is a great tutor for the things you don't know that you don't know. Just after the unity learn courses reading code makes sense. Just like how you would look up a word you don't know in the dictionary while reading, you can ask chatgpt to explain lines.

yeah i know its probably not the most productive way of doing things. But still i enjoy it when its an obsession that takes up every waking moment. Like when im trying to get to sleep and all i can think about is characters i want to add or how the fuck do i get around a technical problem.
I really should get back on the ball i probably dont have that much time left as a NEET.

Is this where I send the my brap art for the audition?

post here as well
if you have good braps then you need good optics

Reminder, if your game does not have enough material for a show, it is ngmi.
Anon Babble has 500 upon 500 things to say about this one unlike your game.

coomers arrive instantly

i hate you all

arrive

implying we ever left

I've been posting the most disgusting fetish shit I can think of to mess with people. I didn't think there would be a subhuman that would like any of that shit

Sex sell.

I haven't worked in my project in months. I got into a storm, then got sick, then I lost all will (my fault) Fuuuuuuck.
Thinking of making an even "simpler" game (than what was already in process), but I don't want to abandon what I have.

any of you doing a isometric game?

Spent so much time getting custom lighting working with Unity's forward+ renderer. Feel very proud, learned a great deal on how pbr rendering and shaders actually work.

Also Unity devs are faggots, their shaders docs were ass and wrong.

do I use unreal as a beginner?

Added in a secret cave that is only accessible if you go way off the beaten path. It serves no real purpose as of yet aside from allowing players to bypass the Iron Hundwerks and the canyon. Here's one of the rarest objects in the game: the Mining Petard. These are used to destroy barriers to find or leave secret areas.
Here's a video showing this new sub-location:

use godot unless your machine can actually handle unreal

files.catbox.moe/lglpay.webm

I used to think your game was ugly and a joke but this actually looks pretty polished anon!

Thanks. I had fun dillydallying in the underground area so I think I'll add secret shortcut caves to each of the areas you visit, especially now that Fygoon can glide and I need to justify its inclusion.
Still don't know if I want to add some sort of reward for this.
